The most surprising thing I find is that a 747 and this guy have similar weight. Suprised more so that we were flying something that heavy 50 years ago when things were mostly engineered with a slide rule
even the SR-71Blackbird was designed with a slide-rule they made it so good that if it where never made before and we made one with today's computers it would be almost the same.
Does it come with a 30 day return and refund option should it not meet the standards? I'm looking for a tool that can help me build my backyard pathway.
This video helps to Prove "The ONLY difference between Men and Boys , is the PRICE of their TOYS" Enjoy! PS: the Music is 'Lacking', sorry Enjoy as Always GOD BLESS ,Love Don
I watched a Michigan 475 loader back over a service truck which is not quite as big. It smashed it flat and the guy running it didn’t even know he ran over it. The funny part was it was his service truck.
I was part of the project, building the biggest loader in earth in Longview,Texas yes sir the 2350 G2 Now that baby is working in a mine in Wright,Wyoming,
I would hope the 2350 series hold up better and loads the bucket better than the 1000, 1100, 1400 LeTourneau loaders I operated.....I'll move more yardage with a Cat 994K in a year even though it is "smaller".
WERKS Parts LLC This loader as well as the smaller L1850 which is actually bigger than a 994 are great machines. The L 1850 uses the same 16V4000 engine as the L 2350. Just a little less hp. The L 1850 replaced the 994’s at Cortez Gold in Nevada.
This is such an awesome machine! Thanks for the video. I have watched the other ones you posted about mine expo several times. Do you have any new videos you will be posting soon?
It's going to be possibly September 2016 before I get anything like this at MInexpo 2016 although Bauma is on April 2016 which I intend to go to. The next year is a going to be a bit quiet for expos unfortunately although I will still be uploading videos of less impressive stuff.
I worked in the coal mines in Wyoming and used to run 1850 . I didn't get to run 2350 . But they were very similar. Extremely smooth and easy to operate. The Cat loaders were not even close. I would Rather have letourneau every time
How can these things do all they do with 2300 hp while dragsters can only hit 320mph with over four times the hp? Is it the torque, or are dragsters just extremely inefficient when it comes to putting the power down?
The L2350 is an awesome machine. No doubt, but the record of CAT in the mining ops around the world speaks for itself. How big is too big? Well, if time and money are factured in, it is obvious that the L2350 might just be the right machine for your mining op. It is quite a capable machine, but one must weigh down time for servicing this mega machine vs the overall operating cost. Nothing new here. Mining ops do this stuff 24/7 and they know the drill. The mining expo, by the way, is very cool. I plan on attending the 2016 expo. You really must go if you are into these massive machines. Personally, I like the CAT992 the most because it has a lengthy track record in mining ops. Field servicing is excellent in most cases and the 992 is very nimble and quite flexibility around the mining facility. Once saw a 992 with a dozer blade. Very cool. Excellent video, but question the weight of the L2350 being at or near that of a 747. I thought it weighed more than a 737. Am I wrong?🔧
It does not weigh near a 747. I believe a 747 should weigh near a million pounds fully loaded and fueled. The most powerful machine made by man is the Saturn 5 rocket. Weighed 3,500 tons and 7 1/2 million pounds thrust. That is equivalent of 160 million horsepower!
Also need to factor in this is SR drive and doesnt have as many mechanical components, Also available from the same company is the L1850, L1350, WA1200 which all out do cat loaders
I didn’t hear anything about the elec drive motors and the generator capacity ( kw?) also how many gal of armoral are on those tires to make them shine like that? Cool stuff
The typical sites this would be found on will be dry, rocky and solid. Shear weight provides plenty of traction. Tire life is a MUST. You don't want this in the mud. What will you recover it with if you get it stuck?
@@Margalus - were talking about half a million pounds. Like he said shear weight will provide plenty of traction . And towing it out or in general would be a task. But if it wasnt under it's own power while trying to pull it out would really cause problems. But just like this mega sized machine they have machines that are intended to do that exact job. But they are used on certain types of terrain. And they dont get stuck as often as you'd think.
@@thomashodis5740 Sheer weight will make it sink in mud, traction wouldn't do squat with that much weight pushing it down in mud. Like he said, you don't want this in mud.
Loaders need to work on Level ground in quarries and it's Stoney solid tread does not get cut as easily .. Some times they run mesh chains over the tires if the rocks are sharp
And this is why when you see a perfectly good empty parking lot to park your truck in, and it says "NO TRUCKS -- WEIGHT LIMIT 10 TONS" You know they're bsing you.
alco424 Actually, by law, such a facility has to have parking lots that will handle the weight of those machines and more. Same with your local grocery store. They just don't want trucks there, which is understandable.
No rJay Stillwell, they do not. The parking lots are built far heavier than a standard parking lot, as a load of several hundred tons is not considered normal, and is not required for a local grocery store.
52komatsu I think people have mentioned its price in the comments of my other videos of this machine. If i remember correctly the tires are about $60,000 each
I do not understand what the hell is it with the music on ALL these giant machine/dangerous forging/and-so-on videos. Give us the real noise. Give us the voice of the machines! Not a buncha glorified Muzak.
Damn I bet that convention center has a floor system just like an international airports tarmac or even runway. 2 thick layers of reinforced concrete topped with a 3 inch wear layer. Only way to handle such sky high ground pressure.
That thing is so massive it should have it's own gravity pull ...Man that bucket can take a small house in it with it's foundations . It has an oil tank the capacity in weight of an average car ...Holly crap , can you imagine that thing for some reason going downhill and the operator has a heart attack or something and his foot remain the throttle ? Highly unlikely to happen i know but if that happened what could stop this monster from destroying everything in it's path !
A lot of people dislike the music. I LOVEEEE IT!....Make it louder in all of your videos....I watched this video at 1 am and started dancing for 2 hours replaying it.
Very impressive machine how much $ ? only thing I see is with the rather large tires all that smooth area seems like it would reduce the traction of the tire. I would assume you would need all the traction you could get by useing the entire surface area of the tire ? but what a monster !
Just hope the company stays in business dose not go out like Clark. This biggest size loader will be few in numbers. Large open pit mine's are not to many.
Not even close. This P&H bucket is literally twice as large (35yards vs. 70 yards, it produces almost twice as much HP (1200 vs. 2300), and weighs almost 100 tons more (175 vs. 260).
You need that 70 yard bucket to carry the money is costs! What no elevator to the cab :)

Thomas Reichpietsch You can rent one for about 1200 dollars an hour
Does it come with free tire rotation?
@03:17, the biggest tires in the world belong to the CAT 797.
These tires handle 400 T @ 60km/h btwn 30*C & -40*C
I will be operating one of these in 3 months. Can't wait!
Where at?

I have a little landscape work to do in my back yard, does it have a weed eater attachment?
Where is it located & how much does it cost? I will write a check out rite now.

He can't. That's half the fun.

Lots of counter weight, the higher you lift the 72 tones the heavier it becomes because of torque
