- You can now have your very own flame-throwing robot. It's called the “Thermonator” and the remote-control robot dog just hit the market with a price tag of $9,420. It has a built-in tank for gasoline or napalm. It also shoots flames 30 feet out. The Ohio-based company selling the “Thermonator” claims the robot dog is useful for snow and ice removal. If you live in Maryland, do not even think about getting one. It's the only state where flamethrowers are illegal.
Don’t worry my dog don’t bite.
The Dog:
🤣
So funny

Yeah it's flames not biting calm down with the awful jokes Karen!

This Robot dog could be very useful for Wildland firefighting hand crews, getting rid of fuel and creating fire breaks.
@@chadgina5012now that's an American hot dog.
It is possible to use fire to fight fire. But it has to be controlled.
From drones equipped with flamethrowers to robot dogs equipped with flamethrowers. Both have their pros and cons.

That robot dog could be for military use.
"Would you really want one?"
Me: *YES.*
I don't think you should have one
Yes, there for the forest villages of those who own nothing and they’re not happy who flee the cities for their “Liberty”!
This would actually be a great bday gift or Xmas gift to Edward sarkissian.

It's for killing bedbugs?
And your bed... and your bedroom... and your entire house.
It would be pretty effective.
From drones with flamethrowers to robot dogs with flamethrowers!
Anti-spider device
The military would love it
All tech development in the US is shared with the military unfortunately, so they no doubt will use it. Anything for more killing.
But it is possible that pmc or call private military company use it to do war crimes more
The military would probably have version 3
You don’t think they already have them with guns on them as well?
I know right I rather have the military have it
Wasn't there a damn Black Mirror episode about this EXACT situation? Robot dogs with weapons attached to them??
Yup, they gonna keep fkn around until we unalive our own species by accident 😂
Yeah
Black Mirror is predictive programming if you haven't caught on already.
I would buy it if I were to fight Aliens in LV426
I could see the colonial marines using this robot most of the time
I think they nerfed it so you can’t get it until earliest LV666
And you don’t even have to strap on the exoskeleton you can be away from the Xenomorph and out of range of the tail. I’m told it will even chew on the bones.
U.S Military: Say no more!
They will be asking, does it come with gun attachments?
maybe
That robot dog should have the ability to poop out a solid substance that contains a foul odor that will make the enemies puke. Almost similar to a rotting human corpse.
It better come with heat seeking missiles!
And a damn decent scope 😅
its heat seeking, the robot shoots fire, its gonna hit itself
You can mount any kind of weapon on that robot dog.
Only in America…
A beautiful thing.
Right up there with landing on the moon and starting the internet.
🦅🇺🇲
For once I agree with someone on the internet bashing America. There's probably nothing I hate more about America than how it technologized the world.
@@GustafUNL you'd probably be singing a different tune if you happened to ever need any of the world changing cancer treatments the USA has helped create though.
This is insane. I cannot think of why anybody outside the military would need such a thing.
I ask myself that everytime i think about the 2nd......
Why not? There's far more dangerous things in this world. Just driving a car can cause multiple deaths.
I want one to light birthday candles 🤣🤣🤣

Most disturbing: the forest being caught on fire!! 👀 😡
Sometimes it’s necessary for a forest to burn
@@user-je5ib5nv8u name a recent wildfire in California, Canada, or Australia that was positive -- yeah delete your post
@@user-je5ib5nv8u when? Aren't there enough forests burned?
But if you're dealing with kudzoo😵💫 🍃, I Say GO for it!! 😂
A Criminal would use a "Thermonator" to commit Crimes like starting wildfires in the middle of a forest.
You do know that forest gets deliberately caught on fire to kill off dead trees and bushes. It's called a controlled fire.
This is a weapon...it should be illegal.
The moment they said "Ohio-based." 🤦
The Mechanical Hound in Fahrenheit 451 is essentially a robot dog that was created to literally sniff out people who were reading books and or bucking against the system of order the firemen and society, in general, were sworn to keep. This robotic dog was created to help maintain that order.
❤❤❤
This brings a whole new meaning to "hot dogs" 🥁 😂🤣
Could be cool with a water version if you have a fire
Agreed. Pink slime!
And what, a 5 liter water tank? What kind of fire is that supposed to put out?
@@insomnia20422maybe they can make a bigger version
Yeah then you can have them battle each other
Barking up a firestorm.
Obviously the company selling that is going to be sued into oblivion.
Is there a self destruct button? I know Doofenshmirtz added one.
😂😂😂 took a minute but I love that cartoon now! I think it was the songs that got me hooked 😂
U mean a Robot dog with a water cannon to help fight wild fire 🔥 not a flame thrower
This is giving off serious Fahrenheit 451 vibes.
Could literally be Mechanical Hound 2.0
it’s gonna happen
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT THANK GOD SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING
Something about this reminds me of why the “Terminator” movies were so terrifying.
You don’t necessarily NEED a flame throwing robot dog but you definitely WANT one. 😂
Waiting for them to say: “we got a professional arsonist on the scene to determine the effectiveness of the product”
😂😂😂
The Flamethrower Robot is good and all until someone comes over to your house.
I didn’t know chappie was a dog. 😅
Chappie has a new pet.
“is it a water type”
This is perfect for fighting wildfires.
How
Yes, fighting forest fires that’s a perfect alibi as to why it was found in the woods where the fire started. Yes, they’re used to fight fire just like in that Fahrenheit book.
Damn, I live in Maryland, and was so ready to order one!
Looks like something out of a Private Military Experiment Weapon
You failed to mention that the thing can be operated by Wifi or Bluetooth. A mobile and remotely-operable flamethrower is asking for trouble.
When Skynet takes over 😂😂 we're done for
"Does your dog bites?"
"No,but it can hurt you in other ways"
There's already flame throwing drone 🔥
For air support, use the flame throwing drone, for ground support, robot dog comes in handy.
Never thought in a 1000 years I could probably get roasted by a dog 😂😂
Edward sarkissian should get his hands on one of these.
I think the US Forest Service should be looking at this especially doing the controlled burns that the forest service does with flamethrowers.
This could be a SAFER alternative and also really help people when wildfires happen or etc.
This would possibly SAVE LIVES if used properly.
Oh what could go wrong.
Alot and many things can go wrong
Please say this is an old April Fools joke. I mean seriously...
Even if it was a joke, it definitely gave some people the idea to build their own versions. Count on it.
I'm surprised they got the cost below $10K because Spot cost about $75K and that seems to be the Boston Dynamics robot chassis pictured here.
Using Chinese unitree Go1 mate with an American flame thrower.
@@zenden9 So the Chinese ripped off the Boston Dynamics design for Spot?
Or is it just really similar? I haven't kept up in this domain lately.
@@Hexnilium both have their own function but unitree Go1 is able to mass produced at much lower cost which Boston dynamic can't compete. Come on, a dog has four legged.

Nah this america 🇺🇸 🦅🦅🦅
The military doesn't even use flamethrowers any more.
Isn't there leash laws?
Yes, and his owner tried to comply. That’s when Fido, I mean fire do got a little hot under under the collar
It looks like movie & game.
I think it's best if you just purchase it with Gasoline as gas fire isn't that hard to put out, but napalm is a no go as napalm stick meaning it quite hard to put out. Using it for snow and ice removal is fine using the gasoline flamethrower just make sure it's actually gasoline and not napalm or you can kiss your house goodbye. It also would be a good fire control unit as by sending it to an active wild fire you can use the flamethrower to suffocate the approaching flames.
I have two uses for it.
1) Replace the claymore Roomba for home defense.
2) Spider removal.
Black mirror keeps predicting the future

Plz, someone think of the wild fires
I'll produce a feature film starring the dog titled, "A Little Touch Up" and dedicate the movie to the memory of Gregory Hines. I christen the dog's name Little Touch Up.
In the hands of the fire brigade though, then this could be a life saver. If you have a wild fire, sometimes the fire brigade burn down areas on purpose so that the fire cannot spread any more. You could quite easily use this to do the same job with less risk of life.
That's one way to deal with those pesky college protests!
I know right!
Vulcan flamethrowers sells flamethrowers as well for under $1000
Its kind of terrifying that you can buy something like this for only 10 grand. Do they at least only sell them to like military ot security companies? Idk that just anyone should be able to go to their website and order one
They build all the robots to kill people. They blame it on AI and then get rid of them after they call the population. If anyone wants to write a novel, you can use it coming to bookstore near you sooner rather than later.
The military should be using these :)
I wonder how quick these things would be marked off as a banned / illegal item
Only if these existed during Vietnam

There's no way this would be legal for anybody that's a civilian to own No way There's no way on Earth the government would let somebody own something like that
The 'flame thrower' could be used as a weapon or do real danger to wild life, raccoons, squirrels ect.
Or allow it to hook up to a hose so fire fighters can use it to get into burning buildings. It can locate people and put out small fires to create an escape
🤯🤯🤯
Do I need it? No
Do I want it? YES!
This is crazy at first I thought it was something what wild land firefighters can use but now that I saw more this should not be a thing I already know this dog will definitely be on the news again but they will be talking about it being good it will be talking about people ether getting injuring or someone possibly getting killed by it

And at Columbia University…
People wouldn't have even known about it if the news didn't advertise the dog. That thing dangerous and why would anyone need that?
It will probably be used for home security. I have nostalgia for old times in which people used to build fortified homes.
Now i see why america is always on forest fire...
Here comes the terminators. I better start, kneeling down to my laptop before it starts doing some crazy stuff.
That’s a massive forest fire just waiting to happen.
The Flamethrowing Robot Dog is primarily based on the Go2 Robot Dog model manufactured by the Chinese company Unitree. If Americans or Europeans begin to purchase and use the ‘Go2 Robot Dog model’ from Unitree in large quantities, it could potentially provide economic aid to the Chinese government or assist in the development of weapon technology that could be used militarily. Have you considered the possibility that such technologically advanced weapons could attack the United States or fall into the hands of countries or terrorist groups hostile to the United States?
As seen in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, where Ukraine reportedly used maritime drones to destroy Russian warships, it's crucial not to disregard advancements in technology, such as the Robot Dog model developed by Chinese companies. Such advancements could lead to the development of maritime suicide drones or low-altitude suicide drones carrying bombs, capable of autonomously attacking US Navy vessels. It's important to bear in mind the potential for such weapons to fall into the hands of hostile nations to the US. Similar scenarios have occurred, like when North Korea's ballistic missile technology transferred to Iran, enabling Iran to attack Israel with those missiles. Additionally, there's the possibility of support for Yemeni rebels or Hezbollah.
This is why the United Nations Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons is working on Protocol 6, dealing with killer robots.
