Saying a localizer's emotional testimony is less awkward than a voice actors is uninformed. Actors just read the lines off of paper, as they do for 100 other games and anime. Localizers actually write what the characters say, and are usually only writing one project at a time. Translation and localization is a much more creative process than people realize. They most likely understand the characters, the world, the lore, and the context a lot better than the voice actors, and they probably actually play Genshin Impact due to it being one of the few things they're working on, whereas many of the voice actors admit to never having played the game and actively disliking it.
