Really well edited. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to make this a short and digestible battle report video. Always great to see the vintage armies and rule sets being represented. (If we can excuse the beast man player for using 6th Ed models 😂)
Thank you Mike and yes the hairy Beastmen with their foul breath do come from the warp gate in the near future but we are playing Warhammer Renaissance which is a modern adaptation of the older 4th edition rules so everything is okay :) thank you for watching and commenting mate
What a great looking game with amazingly painted armies. I loved seeing that old version of Warhammer. Brought back so many memories. I owned all those Orc and Goblin models back in the day. I so wish I still had them now.
It is amazing to see something looking so close to the old WD battle reps. This is what I have been looking for! *thumbs up* I wish the miniatures had more screen time though. Too often I am seeing dice and spell cards, when I want to look at the beautiful armies. But still, fantastic work!
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I too should focus more on the models when filming. Will be more conscious of this next time I film. Thanks for the feedback as I’m always interested in people’s thoughts on the quality and style of the videos. Cheers
What a gem. Everything I've always wanted on my own tabletop, especially that wonderful band of Orcs. I even just picked up 3 of those older River trolls with the intent to paint them just like that.
What a wonderful game!! Beautiful minis and table. I like the look of Warhammer Renaissance. Great job on the battle report Joshua! Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming :)
I watched all of this and it was really great. Despite being a mad painter of minis I have never been into the games. This actually got me feeling really interested for the first time.
OMG i love everything! Music, table, beautiful armies. I never played this type of warhammer but this how your enemy move beastmen its absolutly satisfying!
What a beautifully presented battle report with gorgeous armies. Looks like it was plenty of fun too. Bet your first two rolls being 1s caused sweaty palms though! 😂
what a beautifully painted orc and goblin army. I wish GW had brought back ALL of these old models. Unfortunatly only some of these can be purchased on a made to order bases. I definitely like the old orc warriors and the old goblin warriors better than the new ones....
Thank you and yes I totally agree that the original Kev Adams' designed had so much more character than the later stuff Brian did. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@secondeditionwargaming yeah thanks and I said to Max that I’m due a trip back to his studio in the summer. Can’t wait to tear into his beasts with my dwarfs next time we meet
Gorgeous armies and great battle report. Will scout your FB page for more pictures of your O&G's. Do you have any pictures of the Beastmen army as well?
Thank you and I still need to cover the Orcs and Goblins in a video showcase when some more of the army is finished. Max’s army is not shown anywhere that I’m aware of but next time we get together I can interview Max and showcase his army for the channel
I am confused by the dispelling of a spell cast with total power. Is that a house rule you have chosen to use? I ask because in oldhammer editions, the total power card both provided all the power a spell needs and cannot be dispelled when cast (though a remains in play spell cast with total power can be dispelled in later turns).
Great question. In this fan made version of 4th edition Warhammer you may only dispel Total Power with a Dispel Scroll. And you may only take a maximum of 2 scrolls per army. I think it is a nice balance and that doesn’t take away the fun of the magic phase imo.
Is this a version where the Blade of Leaping Copper is actually different from an additional hand weapon? I remember it being a completely irrelevant magic item back in the day.

This instantly became the best Battle Report I've ever seen.
Presentation, miniatures and table are all gorgeous. Thanks for the great watch!
This is certainly high praise and Gork thanks you from the bottom of his green beating heart.
@@thecrownofcommand5830 could I bother you for the source of the Beastmen artwork used? Is that from a specific edition's book?
@@Choom89 yeah for sure. It’s a piece from the 4th edition WHFB Rule book by Stephen Tappin
Between all the ads and the GW promotional material, a good battle report always made a White Dwarf worth a read and a reread.
Totally agree. I love those old batreps and the photographs of the models and terrain. Nothing else like it
The battle reports keep on getting better and better! And those Orcs and Goblins are INCREDIBLE!!
Thank you very much and I’m glad the hard work paid off for yourself and others that enjoyed the battle report. My Orcs & Goblins are my pride and joy
the presentation here is really quite beautiful
Thanks Gordo. I try my best with the limitation of equipment and experience. Appreciate the comment and support mate
Some of the best painted armies I've seen in a battle report! Hope to see more!
Thank you and yes more to come
Wow. Some heavy nostalgia. 🥰 That Orc & Goblin army is very much of what I used to run in my teens. 🤗
Happy to bring some nostalgia happiness to you Mattias and thanks for commenting and watching

Awesome and they are so gorgeous to paint so enjoy every brush stroke
Just stunning , grom has always been my favourite model. One day I will attempt to paint my grom still still in my to do pile.
Enjoy it when you get around to it as he he can be very picky and often took a swipe at me if he was not happy with my painting lol
These are my favorite battle reports ATM. Makes me consider Renaissance.
Wonderful to hear on both accounts
Great battle report and beautifully painted armies. Well done! It's always great to see classic minis like Grom out there.

Haha yeah it’s not uncommon as I’m sure you know of me rolling 1’s. Comes with the territory. Thank you for watching and enjoying the battle report
This is so peak - my 4th ed army was orcs and 6th were beasts of chaos!
Cool

I have the fantasy barn video in production and river video with bridge on the planing
Absolutely fantastic armies!
Thank you
That falling giant template in 4th edition was great, even if I never used it
Yes I was. I love the art style back then. So much color and character
