I encourage everyone to learn the Lockheed brothers story from the beginning of aviation, Kelly Johnson and his skunk works through all the magnificent achievements to today. It is a wonderful American story, makes me proud to be an American.

I love my country!
Lockheed Martin Had My Heart And Soul At The Mention Of The F-22 Raptor And The F-35 Lightning And The Fact They Are Air Superiority And Air Supremacy Fighters And Both Designed And Built In America By Skilled American Tradespeople.
The F-35. With its stealthy body lift design, 360 degree sensors, computing abilities, and trained pilots, this war bird scored a 20 to 1 kill ratio against F-15s, F-16s, F-18s, and all 4th gen fighters, in Red Flag 17-1. It may look fat and slow, but it is proving to be everything as advertised by LockheedMartin, and more.
Watching this in 2024 and it’s still amazing!
I made America, America made me.
The cowboy was a bit unnecessary for a video about cutting edge technology, but still, Great video!
You sir, hit the nail right on its head!
Outstanding, inspiring.
So Amazing !!!
I love it, great minds put this work of art together, international cooperation
Beautiful Keep the good work up !!!
where did you pull that 40% figure out from??
REALLY GREAT
It's what we do, it's what we are... that defines us
Could not have said it better, myself. Americans should take the majority of the credit for this aircraft and its ground-breaking technology.
I'm French, and i love USA. God bless America
I am a clone of you

Pretty cool
firstly the BAE JAST design shares practiacally the same body as the F35 as a quick look over of the design proposal will show and secondly the 'full operational' X-35 that you were talking about had it's frst flight in 2000 and it's design process only started in 1998.The BAE JAST was designed in 1996.
I love jets
Just words. American just fell. Godspeed
I think the f-35 summed up is a f-16 but with 5th gen stuff? right? Very versatile in its multi-roll plane.

sairagon1988 the music works pretty well in this one, the voice over is a tad over the top though, but some of lines are decent
If you love companies like Lockheed Martin, you need observation skill perhaps. Check the music somewhere in here. It's there.

There's quite a few of us, just seems not many are on the internet. ;) Er du Dansk? I have family in Denmark, beautiful country.
fair enough, i clearly haven't done my research... well played :(
Of course! As Coots1 said though, this is an ad designed for the US population. To be fair, though, the US is largest backing and responsible for the greatest portion of design and manufacturing... that's why LM is making ads directed at the American public.
I believe we all know (at least most of us) that it was a joint international effort, however it cannot be denied that it was mostly an American endeavour.
I can not move my challenges are to much hard level if you never knows. Its very hard to explained.
Not forgetting that L-1011.
Lets not bring up the fact that the vector thrust and vtol technology used in the f35 actually has some soviet DNA but eh it's a good commercial.
HEY, i heard that line in batman begins the other day!!!
Imagine if they had Peter Cullen narrating :P
algeria love😙❤
Oh let's not forget that the funding of the F-35 is international and that multiple countries have helped to nurse this aircraft through its stages (for example Danish pilots have participated in the testing of it and the swiveling nozzle was based on tech bought from the Yakolev firm not to mention that BAE Systems have worked together with Lockheed in designing and building it).
American? Sure. But It's just as much a european aircraft as it is an American.
I think modern versions of f 14 tomcats must be made.
Why can't we all just say that we helped each other on building this jet
Wow, though I am a Taiwanese, I still love usa because of this video.

i'm not saying that it is not an american aircraft nor am i saying that the development of it isn't based in america, my point is that it could not have been done without the help of BAE systems, for example it has developed the HMD (helmet-mounted display) helmet, the 'all glass' cockpit, the electro-optical targeting system and the majority of the aircraft's STOVL capabilities.

I don't care if you're North Korean, you have to admit that commercial is fire.
Congrats to UK for the B choice.
first of all, the initial prototype released in 2010 was marked with lockheed martin, BAE systems and nothrop grumman on it's port (left hand side for incompetent humans) side indicating that BAE must have had at least a third of the input of this aircraft. Secondly, considering it was BAE's idea to have one engine since the americans do not warm to the idea of single engined naval jets, and since the whole aircraft is built around the engine i think it is fair to say that it is not all american
Money ready 😎
you realize the funding from other countries make up a tiny minority compared to the amount spent on the project.
Philippines.
I don't believe that the intention of this ad is to offend all of the other countries that have contributed to the development of this aircraft. This ad is meant to reinforce public and congressional support within the US for funding in a difficult economic environment. Focusing on the number of jobs that are provided by a project is a time honored method of maintaning funding at a time when the number of critics is growing because of the time and expense involved.
BAE did not participate in the original design, neither did northrop.
They contributed lightly in the later modifications to the original X-35 into the F-35, with BAE mainly providing some experience they gained from the harrier for the B model. Beyond that, P&W and LM did the vast majority of the design work.
Dobis PR?
👍🇺🇸💪❤️👏
That was the figure Slash396 said described the amount of work was done by europeans.
Can't blame LM for doing this. Besides building excitement for their product, they have to sure up support against all the anti F-35 voices getting louder. Some seem to think creating a new fighter is easy! They dont understand anything about the history of fighter aircraft developement so they critisize and scream. One design is difficult enough but LM is testing 3 variants all at the same time. Reality is all modern, and future, fighters are growing in sophistication. Deal with it!

Really?
Wow. Didn't think such a "disliked" comment would be one of the top comments.
look up the BAE replica mate and the similarity it has with the f35 and then tell me if the design is all american
well for starters the plane was designed from the ground up by Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grunman, BAE systems and Pratt and Whitney. and i believe that BAE is not one bit American.
I'm not annoyed, I just call out BS when I see it. Just because all of Europe funds some 40% of the project, doesn't mean it is just as much European as it is American.
How very American of you, Lockheed.
Includes canada.
Well at least someone from "across the pond" can be civil.
Thank you for the civil response.
I was annoyed.
Until now Lockheed had been very "this is not just us, this is a collaboration". The JSF consortium was a collaboration between the western countries (look at the frikkin' prototypes, it had a LOT of flags running down the nose).
But now they went all "'MURICAH F*CK YEAH".
And yeah. 40% isn't an even split but it's still worthy of mention.
hi
Bring F22 Back ==
F22>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
OK.
I get it.
BTW I'm not the only one who said this so why am I the target for all this?
actually the design is partially based upon a british project of a stealth fighter pelacement to the tornado called the BAE replica and corresponding JAST project.look it up to see the similarities.
I will make an advanced defence company in india like lockheed Martin.
while I am a fan of aerospace, I abhor violence. You want to impress me, send one of these bad boys up into LEO and harvest me some 'essence of aurora', I know you can do it, quit stallin'. lol.
Or am I just recieving replys simply because nothing is truly said unless it's been repeated 50 gazillion times?
Its way off, the international partners funded around 10% of the project.
true patriotism is dying for stockholder profits
tiny minority is a massive understatement...
I repeat...Congrats to UK for the B choice.
Fail what?..I don't get it...
ALRIGHT!!!
I give up. Never try and be annoyed on a commercial meant for americans.
1:31 "We design it".
Yeah, you are the ones. F-35 C still can't land on a carrier!
Read my lips: 2 separate arrestor hooks based sideways to the engine, joined in a "V" shape at the tip when landing."
:)))
No... The F-35C is perfectly capable of landing on carriers. In the past, there was an issue where pilots had a hard time landing at night with the green glare from the HMD, but that was fixed quite a while ago by changing to a different display.
The 2 separate arrestor hooks is pretty useless, it's not very common for a fighter jet to miss the wire - and even if it does, pilots are trained to throttle up the moment they hit the deck, so if they miss a wire, they just go back up in the air and try again.
A fighter jet conceived by American scientists and engineers, with the main funding and labor coming from within the U.S, this jet is NOT as much a European aircraft as it is American. I concede to the point that we receive funding and tech from other countries but that does not make it their plane.
Love Lockheed Martin. Wishing that if I am able to work in their company.
This is also why the British government stressed many frustrations over the lack of technology transfer of the program to the UK. Quite simply, the Brits don't know how the key systems inside it work because they were never involved in it.
