Ummm... no. The F-35 is more "stealthy" than the F-22.
Keep telling that to yourself... the F-35 might have better RAM, as in more durable, but itself it's not quite on the level of the F-22. If you were to create two wooden models, the F-22 comes out on top, especially if you watch it from behind.

@@SuperGeronimo999 I too, heard that the F-35 is superior in stealth to the F-22. It makes a kind of sense too, considering the F-35 is a multirole platform, and is built using updated technology and experience. I'll make sure to double check though.
It's just marketing, nothing more. In SOME factors the F-35 is better, but not overall. Just keep in mind, the F-35 is designed for export, while the F-22 is not allowed to be exported, even to its closest allies. There is a reason for that. The most popular comparison is the following: F-22 has the frontal RCS of a marble (0.0001m²) while the F-35 is a golf ball (0.001m²)

This is an amazing plane. Can’t help but wonder what we have that they don’t show us?
actually what they don't show is all the development trouble they have with that plan (software, maintenance, engine, coms, life support...). Almost all contries that tested it admitted it is less practical, less reliable, less available, less manoeuvrable and less sustainable than most Gen 4 multiroles (it is in parliament/ministry reports). The only reason they purchased it is either they invested a lot in the program as tier ones (UK) or for tier 2 the US provided other policital or military advantages (Switzerland...) All none US aerospace engineers are shocked by the program and quote it as the worst industrial program even conducted in that field.

@@Michael-dq1qr Yeah lol, the thing though is you can only upgrade legacy aircraft so much until you just can't do anything more with them and they reach their airframe life limit. Plus a lot of new aircraft had a lot of trouble when they first came out, more popular one being the F-14, had a piss poor engine on the A model that made it prone to compressor stalls and turbine blade failure. They gave it an engine swap and worked out some kinks, boom now it's a legendary status aircraft.
Basically the point is new aircraft are gonna be buggy and messy at first, all it takes is time to get it worked out.
Yeah the F-18 had a ton of issues but over time they corrected them and its considered a legendary fighter. Same for the F-35
also its so expensive to upgrade Legacy fighters. F-35A cost 78mill, F-35B 101 million, F-35C 94 million for an extremly advanced fighter. People say "by legacy fighters instead of wasting our money on a fighter that cant dogfight" problem with this is 1st, Modern day warfare is BVR, not dogfight. 4th gen fighters are not designed for BVR fights. 2nd 4th gen dont have stealth and the SU-57 or J-20 can pick them out of the sky from so far. 3rd the price is WAY more for 4th gen that is lower in technology. Eurofighter is roughly $120 million, Dassalt Rafale is $120 million-$160 million. Those are peak 4th gen fighters that are up-to-date with modern technology. To upgrade a F-15 to modern technology, it would cost somewhere around $110-$136 million.

@@rusher2937 No, it does not refer to Red Flag exercises. I don't know why my previous comment disappeared, but the F-35 has already seen combat use in the service of Israel, the USMC, USAF, and RAF. This is quite easily searchable public information. At any rate, Red Flag is more than an adequate test anyway, since it is a far more high-threat environment than anything our enemies can present.
For the cost of this program, I sure hope it will melt the competition in the next conflicts.

the F-35 and and it's big brother F-22 raptor are two of the sexiest aircraft I've EVER seen! both are phenomenal fighter jets! the F-35c VTOL variant is my favorite simply because it's awesome watching a fighter jets hover over an aircraft carrier! While the F-22 raptor will FOREVER remain my personal favorite fighter jets, I love watching that thing fly! 😈💨🤘

IRST ball on the nose, no frameless canopy... forget about the Su-57. Is it stealthier than any other jet, not named F-22, F-35, F-117 and B-2? Definitely. Is it on their level though? No.
