I remember Sarah Hughes' father saying that even when figure skaters fell, if you're not seeing beautiful figure skaters doing beautiful things, you're not looking hard enough. I never quite understood what those wise, true, inspiring and beautiful words meant until now, seeing this program. Thank you Ms. Gold for your beauty, creativity and talent. Thank you for sharing your art and athleticism with the world. Your program was lovely, enchanting and inspirational and beautifully elegant and artistic. That haircutter spin is quite a dazzling display and virtuosic victory! Stay strong, Ms. Gold you are a beautiful skater whose programs ennoble, enrich and inspire.
Wow, lovely jump combination and general skating skills and style to Ravel. Gloriously chosen costume too. Keep doing you, thanks for sharing your beauteous art and athleticism with the world!
Very daring and ambitious music and program chose too and you skate and live up to it with beauty, daring, musicality, technicality and strength. Thanks for sharing such a buoyantly elegant and beautifully lyrical program. The costume is fabulously glamorous and radiant, and the black gloves are an exquisite and dashing touch. Your style and maturity are shown off marvelously in this program. Wonderful skating and thank you for sharing!
Gracie I am sure you stopped reading comments long ago but in case you do read them please read this. You have all the talent in the world. I believe in you and have never stopped. You are lovely. Watch King Richard and get inspired. You can do it. Let the beautiful music take you away because when you do you my dear you are unstoppable.
Gracie dear, you are already making such a difference in the skating world and elsewhere with your personal courage and always artistry! You are so loved!!!! A fan.
I love Gracie and always will. Neither piece of music really suits her style IMO and she doesn't really inhabit the program or let the music carry her though. The dresses are beautiful and she presents well artistically. (Although I'm not sure what was up with the black gloves - I think she forget to take them off from the warm-up.) She looks to be at a comfortable, healthy weight. I admire her determination and grit. She will either break through at some point or she will know when it's time to walk away. I support her no matter what.
Idk why people keep saying she doesn’t love skating anymore, cause I don’t think that’s the case. She has struggled a lot mentally, and if she didn’t LOVE skating and want to continue, then she wouldn’t. I think she just needs to find her groove when it comes to competitions, because I think she tends to tense up. I am so proud of her for staying strong though!
I admire Gracie's determination but to take a line from "The Cutting Edge": "I'd think you'd skate even better if you let yourself enjoy it a little." She just doesn't look like she's having any fun out there. She's her own worst critic. :(
It's really heartbreaking too because she was so determined to make a successful comeback and be happy in this sport again and it's just not working out.
it's a shame Ice Capades doesn't exist anymore. She'd be great for it. Once you're out of medals, there's no where for you to go except coach or commentary. The 90s really killed skating.
Awesome special mature performance by an outstanding performer. Gracie. i love you. You belong to Disney on Ice. You are marvelous. You'd make a great Disney Princess. Beautiful Lady. XO
I wasn't certain if she was taking sabbatical from her skating since she had so much problem with the stress. She's definitely not the same skater she was before all of this happening to her.
@@Lilac1543 support should be realistic. I don't see the point in encouraging someone who missed their calling. Yes I know it's not her fault. She should have been the bronze Olympic medalist in 2014. But the sotnikova scandal happend.
@@Jeremy-wp4yh Seriously? She's getting back out there for herself. To go out on her terms. I don't see her as missing her calling. She has an Olympic medal. She battled depression and an eating disorer and put herself back out there. She's seeing if this can take her somewhere. Who's to say it isn't realistic? It's not like she's 26 years old and just learning how to skate for the first time and then expecting to be an Olympian in 4 years. She battled herself out of a will to live to come back to compete. If this helps her in her recovery process, then it seems very realistic to me.
@@Lilac1543 just because something might be part of her recovery, doesn't mean she's going to be a good competitor. She downgrades her jumps to doubles. That is junior level skating.

I'm so happy that she's following her heart and skating again.
Love that gold costume! So pretty!

black gloves are really
distractive.
As the mom of a daughter recovering from an eating disorder, there is really no reason to ever comment on someone’s weight. 😉😊

She doesn't love it the same ay more :(
She loves the attention and blames everybody else for her mental health issues
Oh baby girl, what happened to you?
Far far away from her best!!!
Gracie let skating go and find something else to do. Sad sad
Maybe this is a hobby? I'm sure she's not making any money from figure skating.
Well that's a really supportive and helpful comment. 🙄🙄
