I 100% agree that Tyler is "Redecorating" what the Color blue means. Damn man it's been forever since I looked at feng shui. There was a period in 2021 that came up a lot in theories. Thank you for reminding me that I need to refresh that. And, I can't say this enough, THIS PRODUCTION QUALITY IS SO GOOD!!! Love love love it and am budgeting to upgrade my video recording gear and will be using your Amazon Links a lot.

This is fantastic! I’m glad you connected the blue door with the feng shui meaning. It makes sense that a door signifies transition, but adding the aspects of growth, honing their craft, and new beginnings aligns with how I think Tyler approached SAI. I also agree that Ned was the key to taking the power back from the bishops and changing the meaning/significance of some of the elements.
I can’t wait for the final chapter! I actually think the unintentional pandemic-detour of SAI has added another layer and depth to the narrative.
I agree! In hindsight, the SAI Era makes sense and I see what they were going for. I’m very excited for the future!
So I just watched this and learned about Feng Shui thing now, after Clancy (album), and I'm thinking 'It's a different blue, it's deeper than it's been...' There was that thing about deeper blues....
I've also been thinking about the idea of repurposing the things that are associated with evil--Tyler said the red cover of the new album is about reclaiming things you fear; that's always been the Blurryface color. That goes with reclaiming the blue door. Plus, one of the hints nobody's been able to work out is 'claim cyan.' Claiming blue. Claiming defeat? Is that what Clancy has done at the end of the Paladin Strait music video? Pretending to be defeated for a second, then fighting back? And then there's the title of the song I referenced in my previous comment--Midwest Indigo--there is a plant with purple-blue flowers called False Indigo. To me that sounds a lot like 'false defeat,' and 'false defeat' sounds like what happenes just before Clancy opens his eyes to stare Nico down at the very end.

So good, man! Where do you think Fairly Local fits in with the overall storyline? The blue door showed up in that music video, and there was also snow throughout it. Do you think it could possibly take place during the current timeframe of the story?
Interesting. It could be Tyler is now able to embrace the second verse as he prepares to fight. And selfishly, I would love for Fairly Local to go back into the set list! It’s always been one of my favorites.
The more I look at the lyrics, the more I think you are onto something:

I went back to Fairly Local, I hear the music often but didn't look at the video for a looong time. Do you mean the blueish door/color in the beginning?
What I've notice is aroun the minute 2:53 of the video, Tyler covers is face with the beanie that is wearing, just like in the Icy tour commercial....maybe it's just a coincidence or related to previous eras like vessel, but it's odd that he does it

Yeah, at the beginning of the video, Tyler is walking down the hallway toward the camera, and there’s a blue door slightly propped open behind him.
I would say that it’s coincidence, but there are very few coincidences with them!
I love the background scene of this Trench-themed desk.
Anyone notice the shot of Tyler’s feet when he’s walking thru the snowy terrain with Josh, alluding to when Clancy mentioned trying to mimic the rhythm of the nameless guards footsteps who guided him thru the Dema corridor to the blue door in his journal entry?

Absolutely love NightMind! He’s been an inspiration of mine as of late. I wanted to do my own spin on the format and am happy with how it turned out! I won’t do every video in this fashion, but I’ll certainly do it every once and a while!
Nice video! I like the idea that previously "evil" symbology used by DEMA is being converted to represent new positive meanings. Other examples include the neon gravestone sign of /-| being changed to |-/, FPE being changed from Failed Perimeter Escape to the Few, the Proud, and the Emotional (among other things, tbh FPE reminds me a lot of VFD in A Series of Unfortunate Events and all the weird ways the acronym is snuck into stuff), and even the pitchfork sign that was originally the E in Blurryface being changed into a compass to guide people out of the city. So the theory that although the blue door may have had a bad connotation at first but has now been changed holds water in my opinion. Looking forward to the final chapter!
I also drew the correlation between FPE and VFD years ago in an old video during the Trench Era! I can’t remember which one, but wow, I love that someone else (you) made that comparison! Series of Unfortunate Events was so good.
the hype music video starts with the video as tyler opens a “Door” in his chest ?? idk if this means anything but maybe but, ned is seen in the hype music video too so maybe it’s one of these “cycles”

I loved this video it makes so much sense and I think your theory is correct. I also love that you allowed us to see the kind of gear you used to make your videos at the end!
I would like to add that yellow was used to represent both possession, and protection from the bishops. This may have been a shading thing, more orange shades being invisible to the bishops, like the colors of flames. While lighter shades representing possession. Or it might be another clue to your theory that they're repurposing symbols for good. Who knows? But it's still interesting stuff to think about.

I'm gonna leave this out here as a theory (this will go either really good or really bad), but there are rumors that the next era will be purple.
So we have Blurryface that's red and said "Blue is a bad color" and then we have SAI era that used A LOT of blue, but if we belive that they are taking things that simbolized "bad things" while still hanging onto Blurryface ideas, the red from Blurryface and the blue from SAI merging together would create purple!
Of course this is only IF the rumors and theories are correct but, I felt I needed to get this idea out.
I agree with purple! I also have a few videos covering purple as the next era color. Not sure if you’ve seen them but if not, I talk more about evidence for purple there😊

Since Keons was so close to Clancy/Tyler in the daily writing sessions, I’m wondering if something within the music he was writing transformed Keons in some way. Perhaps opened his eyes to a different point of view that led him to help Tyler and Josh escape, knowing that it would likely mean his death. It’s not as if Nico would let Keons get away with that level of betrayal. So rather than a glorious gone to support Vialism, a self-sacrifice to assist the Banditos.

Yeah, it gets a little complex😅 But there are recap videos out there that do a good job summarizing the story so far. There are a couple by Nalbis that are great, and I believe one by JLANDERSON is in the works!

I feel like the blue door represents Tyler's return since you said that in feng shui blue meant new begginings and since Tyler is stronge and has left dema it is in a way a new begging.

Trash the dragon is also blue, and Tyler said that the blue dragon represents imagination and creativity coming to life. And Clancy created SAI behind the blue door, let his ideas come to life through the blue door. Blue could maybe represent creativity, in a sense of letting it go wild, as well. Like, "Tie a noose around your mind... This ain't a noose this is a leash, and I have news for you; you must obey me," but the opposite. Giving up control of your mind. Tyler wore blue onstage to show defeat against Blurryface, aka the dark parts of his mind. Blue is defeat against your mind, letting it go crazy and come up with ideas, good and bad ones.

@Stolen.potential I may be wrong but this new place with the Ned's might be where music videos like chlorine take place in the cannon because there isn't a residential area like that in dema and we see Ned there also like we do in this new island so as tyler and Josh explore this island we may come across this town/city where there creativity can fluctuate but nico who we know has been absent will be lurking in the background

Great video! I however think the door is a representation of haint blue doors that were used in the south, to keep out “evil and bad spirits” around the time of the civil war. They used indigo dye…omg. Seriously, just made the connection.

I always hear that Blurryface said that blue means defeat. But did he specify that it means that he defeated Tyler? Or could it also be defeat of Blurryface? I wasn't there during that period. Or now, after hearing you point out that doors go two ways -- Clancy goes in to a room he has no choice but to enter, but the door could also let Tyler out, into freedom -- I wonder whether Blurryface's statement on blue could also mean defeat both ways.

I always thought their growth in Chlorine represented the fleeting nature of inspiration.
They don’t represent evil, but they have been continuously utilized by the Bishops to possess deceased DEMA citizens and likely commit soul transfers. Evil, vile stuff.

As you know, ODST has some amazing tracks and it felt super fitting for the outro! I’ve been wanting to use Halo music in my videos for years.
The "he" bishop is probably Keons

The “he” could not be Keons, because Keons was present during these sessions. I’m thinking it’s Nico, since this is Tyler/Clancy’s bishop, the figurehead of the Nine Bishops.

I think you are spot 😊n about them taking things and repurposing them for good- that is what HOPE does. That is what God does. It’s God (Hope/Clancy) living within Tyler that accomplishes this!
I agree! And many people are thinking Clancy will end up being some kind of Christ-like figure. Stoked to see where the story ends up!

I love that Ty has brought his audience to the realization of the cycles we go through- because Zoroastrianism ( Dema, the Dao, Ying Yang, Feng Shui, etc) all put good and evil on the same level implying they balance and need each other to exist. I think God - whom is at the very least the concept of existence itself and therefore creativity does not have to have destruction in order to exist-God is always bigger, therefore Hope always wins. And none of these Eastern Religions truly teach that. Jesus broke the cycle of that death sentence we all have- both after we die, and the spiritless life on this earth. Tyler is doing such a masterful job of helping others UNDERSTAND Him and what He does so it’s not your typical bad association with the church. He helps people see the beauty in what God meant it to be that has gotten lost in the superficial way people are these days. And that’s what I’m looking forward to them laying out in their last album.
I first heard of blue door when I played alien fireteam online. A user called "Blue Door" logged into my game and had the appearance of a Trans or gay looking female character with short blue hair. It made me wonder what the blue door is and heightened my curiosity... got to be honest I'm kinda disappointed that it's just a shitty contemporary woke band. Funny how life does that to you sometimes; you get curious about something and when you get to the end of the hallway you realize it's just a shitty door that doesn't need to be walked through or opened...
Hot take: I don't like scaled and icy, it's really bad music that the bishops forced him to write. Hoping the next album is good quality lyrics.
I partially agree. Though I don’t think it’s bad per se, it wasn’t as great as their other work. Definitely took some time to grow on me but even now I think it’s pretty mid.
@@Stolen.Potential I definitely enjoyed the new style of music, but goodness - it's quite difficult to enjoy the lyrics. Some sound flat out like an arrogant rapper - the rap part on the outside really is bleah. Still love Tyler, but I'd take his old music 100% of the time compared to scaled and icy
