I thought something sounded off when Tyler yelled "What's your name?" at the Takeover Tour. I could have sworn he used to say "my" instead of "your". I feel like most fans would have had the same reaction, like Tyler purposely changed that part because he knew it would throw us off. When he said it, it creeped me out and singing "My name's Blurryface" back to him was so off-putting. Thanks for reminding me about that!

Yes dude! The Blurrification of the Clique! The smeering, the increased use of red lights, and bishops on tour! I do want to note that at Night 3 in Colombus, there was yellow confetti, but ONLY during Jumpsuit, replacing the flower pedals.

And at the same time as Tyler has his neck and hands painted in black, Josh doesn't have his red makeup on his eyes. So does that mean that Josh isn't fighting anymore (because he said that the red makeup was his war paint to fight his insecurities and anxiety)? I'm scared
One thing that keeps on my mind is why the rest of the band (key, guitar, trumpet, bass players) uses this over all clothes, that's maybe because DEMA put them on the show.
And this could explain why in songs like car radio or trees we have no intervention of the rest of the band

Thank you for concisely putting together many of the ideas I've had! I'd love to sit here and comment on everything you said, but really just agree, haha. I will share two related thoughts: I realized that if we all switched to wearing pink and blue at the shows, then we'd already be signaling that we were following the propaganda - we don't want to signal to actual Tyler and Josh that we don't care about the album, so we have to wear merch from SAI (I personally wore both pink and blue with a yellow bandana and duct tape) because they are in the crowd so much and actually see us. Another thing I felt like adding, in case it helps anyone's thoughts about the tour, is that while the show I attended (Tampa, radio show, second-to-last show of 2021) was not an official "Takeover Tour" show, so we missed a lot of elements (which made me sad), I also did take video of the show any time I felt like the concert lighting was important. I have comments on what I recorded, but I think the scariest thing to me was seeing NED in bright pink and blue during "Chlorine." I'm worried the Bishops have NED. BUT, then we get the CSTY video and NED's like, "Oh hey, I'm good, just been chillin' at the North Pole." Either way, I'm so grateful to TOP for bringing me out of this reality during this level of living scaled back and isolated. Nothing but love from me, and can't wait to see what's next!
But I also think that Tyler seems to be resisting in the lyrics. All the lyrics of the new album give (at least for me) the feeling that something's wrong and that we should "fight" in a way. Take for example Good Day, Never Take It, Bounce Man and No Chances

Actually the fire that Trash the dragon is breathing is yellow (on the SAI cover). And as we know, fire is a sign of purification, creation and passion fot TOP. Let's see what new era will bring with theme of infernal fire.
i watched takeover tour video part 5 for first time after this vid and am filled with ideas and emotions. there were some polaroids after the first show.. with confetti on their shoes, tyler is seen with a single yellow confetti while josh has a bunch of pink and blue and 1 yellow. the rare yellow confetti definitely represents the glimpses of light in this whole era despite the very dark subliminal themes elsewhere. imagine a yellow confetti landed on you in the sea of pink and blue, it would feel a lot more special. on the other hand imagine getting black paint splattered on you!
another detail i wanted to leave here was a part from the livestream video before lane boy. the dema hosts are seen with black face paint that resembles a mask,, and a lot of people at the shows were wearing face masks or had to for covid during this tour.
I can feel my saturation leaving me slowly right into scaled back and isolated I had a bad feeling the second I finished the album

in the opening of the icy tour, they only show 8 bishops😳. i was at the first show and i can confirm the confetti was pink,yellow, and blue strip confetti, a lot of snow, blue ned cutouts, and yellow flower petals.

If he’s in a trance and they’re asking for help all over this, their jackets in the MTV accoustic video last week. WHY ARENT WE ALL WEARING YELLOW TO THE SHOWS STILL? why aren’t we reacting more intentionally to the smearing himself with the paint? How do we Help them rather than leaning into the dema plan? What comes next after this in the story? We need to be talking about this.

Just came back from the Wembley show and a couple things to note:
- I think the biggest symbolism of the boys revolting against DEMA is right at the beginning; they switch from Good Day to No Chances while letting off a smoke signal and then Tyler jumps off stage.
- The only time I saw yellow confetti was during the piano section of Jumpsuit.
- Josh is 100% an illusion, he didn’t say a word and the only time he was present off the main drums (aside from Drum Island and the Campfire box drum) was his little trumpet solo after WDBWOTV. Ty even said ‘his shirt is ripped’ at my show to which Josh shook his head smiling; I think it was around Saturday or LOC.
- Not all the bishops songs were played during every show, as they cut Goner and Polarize for bigger shows and I also just found out that they cut Stressed Out and Ride (plus Heathens) from the smallest venues (still so surprised they cut all their biggest songs from some shows). They also cut Never Take It from the entire London week which could show more DEMA leverage.
- Sneaking I’m Not Okay (I Promise) into Shy Away is probably the greatest giveaway that Tyler’s under Blurry’s control.
- I can definitely agree that the lighting has been more saturated as the takeover tour continued and concluded. Notice their black and white outfits more recently at the small shows, Pinkpop and the fully white Never Take It flame on their MTV Unplugged shirts. As well, Holding On To You has no more blue&black colour for the ‘entertain my faith’ section (plus they cut both the “I’m taking over my body” and “Remember the moment” verses for big shows).
- ‘Stolen Potential’ said that Ty changed “What’s my name” to “What’s your name” for this tour, but he already said both during the first and second verses of Stressed Out in the banditø tour.
- I did find that the element of Nico And The Niners was removed from Lane Boy for London, plus small venues got to hear the entire versions of HOTY and Good Day, with Summerfest even hearing the original Stressed Out without the remixed ending.
- Lets be honest, while it makes more sense for the story, I don’t think Ty would like it if the crowd booed during the Message Man ink bit or Mulberry Street.
- Also, only in case people are not aware because it was in the pic in the video, Nico is in Stressed Out in “my Names blurryface and I Care what yOu think,” as the Nico/Blurryface ‘O’ is in ‘yOu.’

Please keep in mind that there are still four shows of the Takeover Tour coming in June. Maybe they will keep the setlist and everything they had until now. Maybe they don’t.
I agree with you... embrace Dema, embrace our "dark side" , comprehend that power... but I think, anyway, we are still going to see some struggle, some fight, some escape... embracing the shadows is not that easy 😉

I was honestly thinking why this years tour was so much more dark- this makes a lot of sense holy cow
The band is enjoying themselves during the tour. They weren't spreading depression or anything. He said "Whats YOUR name?" maybe because he means every body has a blurryface and technically we are making ourselves stressed and sad and depressed. Its OUR minds. Have you ever thought that perhaps they aren't using yellow because they don't need to wear yellow anymore. They are happy and hopeful and safe. Plus, the black paint was because he was singing a Blurryface song! People were cheering because its lore (Tyler was acting dramatic, he was asking for cheers)! Also there is yellow on Josh's drums in the icy tours.

It’s propaganda right? So why can’t the message be that you have to embrace your anxiety and fears (the bishops), understand it, and face it head on. This will lead you to better understand yourself and how to face and tamper down your demons. Most of the SAI albums messages are exactly that: don’t shy away, break the circle in half etc
Great video, for me it was clear from the beginning of the era that this album is a propaganda for dema.
But I felt the songs on the album lack the propaganda element, I mean if you want to advertise for something you want to make appeal for the majority of people, for example making songs like stressed out, heathens and ride for this album would be so fitting.
So this is the setlist they performed at the Bluebird for the very first show of the tour and a lot of those nine songs were not played

It's also in the name "Takeover Tour". I don't know if anyone else recognized this, but I just did. So let me share. If blurryface is taking over each and every city and all the attendants at each show, he's "taking them over" so to speak. The Takeover Tour is the tour that Dema "Takes Over".

I have also written an entire, what seems to be, a book on this topic. I watched every single music video in slow motion, looking for something. I don't think that Tyler has given in, I think that he is being forced to do this for Dema. If you slow down the Saturday music video, and pay attention to the black screen in the start, you will notice yellow pieces of tape on what seems to be a jacket that is put up and away where no one will be able to wear it. I think this means that they have Tyler against his will. They took his jacket, keeping it out of reach from him while he is on the sub. Sorry for going off on a tangent. It's just sometimes I feel like I notice things that no other fan notices until I learn that someone else has noticed, I don't feel that sense of pride anymore.

Has anyone tried collecting and gathering up the light blue pieces (looks like curvy little random nothings that can EASILY be unnoticeable)?
EX: an interview with both members of Twenty-One Pilots was done with a journalist's whose name started with a J (I think? Ugh...stupid memory... very significant though is this journalist's name!!) before one of their concerts up north at the beginning of their 'Scaled and Icy' tour last year.
In this particular interview, alot of topics are being bounced back and forth between (mainly) Tyler (or 'Josh' depending on which Ode To Sleep video you watch ;) ) and the bald, male journalist, while Josh only pipes up twice throughout the entire conversation. Remarking on Newport (Shreveport? I swear Newport and let his silent shadow puppeteer self be the REASON I held onto 3 Newport cigarettes before this interview, which is not my preferred brand) and awesome noodles. (Fueled By Ramon shoutout.) When I state 'bounce back and forth, I mean this quite literally (or physically haha) because as Tyler and the journalists conversate, you'll notice they PHYSICALLY do bounce back and forth each other's energies during this particular segment before the show. It was quite awesome to watch and listen to everything as well as look at their expressions and body languages... Josh was in and out for a tiny in the beginning, but once his attention was caught, you can tell he was listening more to the guy giving the interview (instead of 'orb'? Idk). While Tyler, even though kept up with the verbal conversation the entire interview, you can tell his mind was possibly on some other things as well... Great job though all three!
Anyway, behind the guys there is a graffiti marked wall they lean up against. Behind Josh in the dark square, there is a small light blue curving piece. (At least in this RUclips video recording of this particular interview there clearly was this small piece.) Maybe this is one out several, or many, that may have been hidden like Easter Eggs throughout their tour? That's assuming that this design, if anything at all, is connected to the journey and the underling stories in both the real life as well as this Addicts 'fictitious fabled' narcotic influenced Underworld.

i really havent followed the lore and the band that much for almost a year, i just get urges to binge tøp stuff sometimes and now i have a question, why is there a takeover tour and an icy tour? whats the difference and why? maybe i should google this but i just wanted to ask here :/
Takeover tour: Taking over one city (popular ones) by playing multiple shows over the course of one week.
Icy tour: Similar to the spinoff of what Scaled and Icy REALLY means: "Scaled back and ISOLATED" So, Icy=Isolated. And this checks out because the boys are just playing ISOLATED (one) shows in different cities.
Does this make sense?

The Dragon that surrounds them in the water and it's new design swirls in water (Aesop Rocks: Gates as well)...
Thos dragon was seen in the clouds back in early 2017 in Alabama. There is no proof to back up this claim except for this individual's eye witness testimony. (Sadly though this individual's word and claims are known by others as untrustworthy and mental as well as induced hallucinations.) In this vision in the clouds (4th one out of a 1-4 different scenes in the clouds back to back), there are two women standing on a dome. Within the dome is a ferocious giant wildcat (this creature is crucial as well besides that of basketball *I think?* because this giant lion sized wild bob cat, is seen 2 more times after this ^ above) looking like it's trying to attack or claw it's way out... it's in attack or threaten 'mode' within the dome and faces the same direction the women standing on the top, outside of the dome are facing as well. One woman is darker (dark long hair, dark stormy skin, darker than skin but same shade as hair dress) and a little shorter than her counter part who stands besides her on her right side. She is opposite of her in 'color' or 'opposite of color', The Woman seen in the clouds to the left. Who is solid white from hair to dress. Both women though have a sword each in their left hands which they hold up and aim towards a creature that has risen out from the water that lays infrastructure of them, the dome, and the feline. This creature is a giant Serpent dragon who glares down with slit pupil eyes and a snarled open mouthed grin that showcases giant sharp fangs as this Serpent and women first meet. The women whose swords are ready to attack as they take their stand, it looked like, keep their eyes and weapons raised until the clouds images disperse... ending the vision, or whatever that they were showing.
How about the fact the the tour is called the TAKEOVER tour? It's almost like it's saying that we and twenty one pilots are getting taken over by dema and the bishops.
