I had my passport stolen , my credit cards , my bag stolen, back in 2008, in Ho chi min my Jetstar flight got in late and it’s a long story but anyway it was still an amazing holiday , I loved the Vietnamese people, so friendly, very hard working , helpful, kind and very polite, it was one of the best holidays I ever had, I was with my partner of 47 years, he passed away in January of this year and we had planned to return to see Halong Bay and Sapa, we loved Mui Ne , the sand dunes and Hue, the Imperial Purple City and the very exquisite Hoi An , Cham Island and Cai Dao beach, it was a magical holiday and I hope to return to your beautiful country with my daughter next years🙏
@@josvn8275 🙏😂 I can laugh now but actually it was scary because we arrived on the long weekend of the 50 anniversary of Ho Chi Min’s victory over the American forces, everything was closed down for four days and of course I was technically an illegal alien 👽 without a passport, they were not impressed because I did not report it until 8am following morning 😖 , I was not aware how strict they would be and I was threatened with being locked up in jail, luckily someone found the bag in a trash bin and handed it to reception at my hotel, so they then believed me. I still have to research how I can protect my passport if I return 🥺

Loved watching your trip to Ha Long Bay. We did the same in 2015 and enjoyed it so much before we went on to Hanoi. Yes I would go back to Vietnam. Incidentally we visited the cave and it must have been the biggest cave I have ever seen. The musicians look like they were from the Philippines.

It distress's us to see the occasional negative comment. You are learning as you go and improving all the time. My main reason for commenting today is with the hope that you may be able to add one of the most amazing places I have ever seen in all of my travels around the globe. If you can make a stop in Dalat which is up in the mountains from Nah Trang. The people, the animals and the scenery are all such a paradox. What I mean is you will see banana trees growing along side of pines. The locals all have rosy cheeks. We enjoyed the hot-tub immensely (and took glee in seeing no other boats with this on our routes. ) We knew this cruise would be good, but didn't realise just how luxurious it would be, and we loved every second of it.

Loved your video and definitely agree with you that Halong Bay is amazing and we would recommend it to other travellers also. It's one of the most amazing places we have been. For sure go for the 3 day cruise--one night is definitely not enough! The caves are really awesome there and my favorite thing to do, other than sitting on the boat enjoying the view, was to go kayaking where you could check out the limestone formations and monkeys up close.
It's all good, you are allowed to cry. They may have wanted photos with you because you are blonde & blue eyed. I think the longer cruises would go away from the day tripping Beach. That was crazy. I think food can be fun too, it can jiggle, pop, crunch and taste not like it looks(in a good way I hope). Safe travels.

I have been to HLB three times in my life but never on a luxury cruise like that. Will have to try next time.

Thank you so much for your video. Based on your review we booked this particular Halong Bay cruise and it gave us 2 days we will never forget last week. We enjoyed the hot-tub immensely (and took glee in seeing no other boats with this on our routes. ) We knew this cruise would be good, but didn't realise just how luxurious it would be, and we loved every second of it.

So coming to Vietnam, you will be fascinated by the spicy Vietnamese dishes. In Vietnam, cooking often uses fish sauce. Fish sauce is the soul of that dish. Without fish sauce, the dish cannot be delicious.

Loved your video and definitely agree with you that Halong Bay is amazing and we would recommend it to other travellers also. It's one of the most amazing places we have been. For sure go for the 3 day cruise--one night is definitely not enough! The caves are really awesome there and my favorite thing to do, other than sitting on the boat enjoying the view, was to go kayaking where you could check out the limestone formations and monkeys up close.

It's all good, you are allowed to cry. They may have wanted photos with you because you are blonde & blue eyed. I think the longer cruises would go away from the day tripping Beach. That was crazy. I think food can be fun too, it can jiggle, pop, crunch and taste not like it looks(in a good way I hope). Safe travels.
