I've mentioned this in other videos about beach cities of VN and it's a pretty good thing in my mind. Vietnamese come out early, around 6 - 7:30am to exercise on the beach or swim in the ocean. Then they go home, have breakfast and off to work and school. They stay out of the hot intense sun during the daytime, leaving it empty for us foreigners (who will soon find out how hot the sun is). Around 4:30pm after a long hot day of working and schooling, the locals go back out to the beach to exercise and swim. The few food vendors sell their food. I personally love that communal access to the beach where rich and poor locals can enjoy their god given benefit. I've visited a fair number of countries with glorious beaches but many of those have become the exclusive enclaves of high end resorts and their snooty foreign guests who balks at seeing normal locals in "their" beach. That may not be the case in Australia and I'm hoping that's true. It's just a healthy and balanced/equitable way of life. As an aside guys, I think it's a great idea you rented an automatic scooter and not that image-based beat up mountain motorcycle that is hard to drive in heavy traffic, not to mention quick to break down. Having said that, if you're riding 2, the automatic scooters will struggle in mountainous roads. Take care and thanks for the video.
I’m a resident of Nhatrang. I would like to adjust a very small of your information: “Vietnamese come out the beach very soon, around 6:30-7:00”. In fact, Vietnamese come out to the beach from 4:00 AM to swim, do excersie, jog…
Following your vids a week now, half Vietnamese/ Filipino here, been to nha Trang a few times already, missing vietnam so much!! Goodluck guys on your journey!!
A lot of places in SE Asia come to life at night because it is so hot in the daytime. Also in places that are very affordable I always look at the price difference of rooms that include breakfast vs ones that don't bc if I am staying very central to many places with food it's usually cheaper and better quality if I don't eat at the hotel.
Nha Trang city is so big, alive, modern & clean!! It is my favourite beach city in vietnam!! It is very much similar to Gold Coast in Australia but everything is much more cheaper!!
You are dumb, Goldcoast doesnt have mountain range and island . It all artificial beauty with luxury 5 star hotel and modern apartment, a well design city with tree line. An ugly Sheila put on a beatipful make up, wear fashion clothes, Iphone 13, and design hand bag to fool all the man. Vietnamese like you eating rubbish doesnt know anything. Any foreigners want to talk rubbish about Vietnam , we blow them away.
People tend to be so judgmental when they first arrived and set their foot on the ground/ new travel destination without having yet to experience a thing or giving the place a chance to show you around its attractions, fun and excitement. IMO, if a person is so quickly judgmental about places they should just better off quit travelling to foreign countries. An individual with an open heart to different cultures/food/sceneries/lifestyles/locals and mostly respect for the destination they travel to, will always be the one who has the greatest time and experience. I travel a lot and dislike people who moan, groan, judgmental about the tourism places they visit.
I wanna go to Vietnam so bad. My dad fought in the war and it would be like everything coming full circle for me to touch down there. Going to Singapore and Malaysia in December, hopefully Taiwan and Vietnam soon
My adviced for you dont come to Viet Nam. The people are very intelligent , they crack your mind open and you feel ashame of yourself . Viet Nam open up to the world for 3 decades, hundred of million of people travelled to the country for holiday. Your father serve in Vietnam but he never take the family there . That mean he doesnt have any love for the country or the people. The only reason you want to go to Vietnam because you cant find true love in your life. Just looked at prices at the Libra Hotel for August, cheapest room is AUS $44 a night so your $30 a night sure is Covid prices. Still so cheap though compared to anything in Australia. I think we will go to.the Panorama Hotel though, similar prices but have balconies with their ocean view rooms. We are planning on a full week in Nha Trang. We can't wait.
When I was in Vietnam, the beach in Hoi An was the only slightly busy beach during the day I found, only because there were more foreigners around. You won’t see any Vietnamese sunbathing. I am living in Thailand and my Thai girlfriend keeps out of the sun whenever possible, most Asian women want to keep there skin as white as possible!
@pancakestac nearly every cream in SE Asia and Indonesia contain whitening cream, it's pretty obvious why they stay out of the sun. This happens in India too for various reasons, usually due to where they sit on the socio economic scale. I have a history with Nha Trang. I like to suggest that active and crowded at night is one way to do it. I personally prefer less of a crowd so during the day there is a chaise lounge available or not much of a wait at a restaurant. I like your coverage of the city. Good travels.

Nah Trang looks pretty cool! It reminded me of a Vietnamese gold coast a lite bit! I've been to Vietnam but not to nha Trang so will add it to the list ✅
Let me recommend the Pho at 107 Hồng Bàng, the place is called Pho Bach Dang. Visited that Bao Ngon restaurant and mentioned your video sent me there. Great food, great service.
thank heavens !! finally found a decent video and great explanations. You guys rock. plus I am an Aussie too living in Thailand. Am definitely coming here for a holiday next month cheers guys.
My Vietnamese wife and I stayed in Nha Trang for 6 months, about 12 years ago and lived 2 streets back from the Lotus statue on beach road. We were thinking of buying a house there but the speed of development put us off. But it was a great place to chill, go for scooter rides to the hot spring baths, or up in the Hills we found Doctor Pasteur's wooden half way rest stop cabin on one trip. Beaches north and south were great day trips and maybe a beer or three at the brew pub on the way home. The brew pub had a pool so you could get both sides wet. Kids sleep in the afternoon when it hot, and I'm a big kid so I'm laying on the bed now. Then the whole family jump on the scooter and take a ride along beach road, maybe stop for an ice cream, drink etc., the ride home puts baby to sleep. I live have way between Saigon and Vung Tou, grow lots of fruit and along with 8 or so locals we have a pot luck supper. Each will bring a dish and dipping sauce for that dish, now these can be pretty wild and take about 4 beers to cool the mouth. Luckily we each person brings a slab of his choice of beer. My choice is Saigon lager the same as you were drinking on the beach. I had to teach them UK drinking habits, no ice in the beer, no cheers for every sip, no bottoms up with anybody who does put ice in as there's only a thimble full of beer in there. Thanks for posting and I hope you enjoy your time in Vietnam.
You guys should visit Tuy Hoa, it is my home town and further 100km up north from Nha Trang. It is peaceful town with crazy ass honest people over there. Nha Trang is still too expensive to enjoy your journey 😉
Agree completely, Tuy Hoa today is what Nha Trang used to be in the past. Nha trang is ruined by mass touris, mega structures and too noisy busy motor high way at beach front. Nut be aware if the corrupted money comes Tuy Hoa will be the same. They are now, in small scale, are starting the same ruining concept with building an awful wide high way at beach front.

Hey Guys, I really enjoyed this video because it brought back the good memories from traveling there and other places in Vietnam in 2004 to 2007. Thank you for being careful to name the restaurants and places you stayed for future travel possibilities. I liked the drone footage of the beach and the music that accompanied it. You have found a "sweet spot" in your editing to not jump from scene to scene too fast. Moving quickly between images seems to be a standard now, but I find it distracting when trying to explore a place from video. You inspired me to want to travel again and I used your one-month free subscription to Skillshare. Thank you and I wish you the best in your adventures!
What about showing the traditional vietnam iced coffee 👌 also seek out the waterfall and mudbath park in nah trang dont waste your time at vin pearl though
Yep UV index is absurdly high in VN at mid day so pretty much everyone try their best to dodge the sunlight, even sunscreen doesn't help much at blocking that crazy amount of UV.
Nha Trang was always the main destination for Russians in Vietnam, with plenty of direct flights. Going round the more touristy bar/cafe areas, you'll normally see signs in Russian before English. I'd imagine there are far fewer now than there used to be, which would explain it being so quiet.
Im living in Nha Trang, welcome to cơm here. This city very nice with pupils is very kind, food so delicious. Chuon Chuon Kim restaurant with many food Vietnam. I want see you with my family and with dinner in here. Tks u so much.
Ok, I have a question - if you ran across a really bad hotel, restaurant, food, service, etc - would you included in your video? Many travel bloggers don't because they are afraid of repercussion, which I understand. But would you?
Soooo refreshing to see two good looking Westerners enjoying crispy pork bellies! None of this macrobiotic stuff i keep seeing in the cosmopolitan US. You guys ROCK!
Hi I enjoyed watching your video on Vietnam I found it very useful and interesting 🇻🇳. I have never travelled on the Asian continent and I am thinking of visiting Vietnam. I am from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and I have travelled mainly Europe but never Asia. I have a few questions regarding traveling Vietnam. 1 Is it safe to eat around Vietnam in regards to hygiene? 2 is it safe for European tourists ? 3 In general are the hotels clean? 4 Is hanoi is a crowded city?, 5 Do they have tourist information? 6 Do they have many five stars hotels in hanoi specifically along the cost ? 7 Is it safe to drink the water? 8 is it safe to eat meat in Vietnam? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards Spencer x

I really enjoyed this video because it brought back the good memories from traveling there and other places in Vietnam in 2004 to 2007.
You’ve become my favorite couple ! You’re amazing! 🙏🏻👏🙌
Thank you so much
Yes, in Vietnam, China, etc you will see more umbrellas on a sunny day than on rainy day. 😄😄
Wonderful video, thank you friends..
Enjoy your videos, hope I can go back to visit Nha Trang one of these days.
Those Bao Buns look awesome 🙂
video good, city very nice. Welcom in nha trang
great video, Thanks for sharing...
Had boiled eggs for lunch today and they will never be the same after the vlog on the eggs in Vietnam 🐣 🥴🫢
What about showing the traditional vietnam iced coffee 👌 also seek out the waterfall and mudbath park in nah trang dont waste your time at vin pearl though
I hope you get a chance to go up to Hoi An, Hue, Sapa and Halong Bay.
Stay tuned ;)
Don't for the island of Phuoc Quoc , Da lat ,and other cities out there.
Love your music choices
Yep UV index is absurdly high in VN at mid day so pretty much everyone try their best to dodge the sunlight, even sunscreen doesn't help much at blocking that crazy amount of UV.
Nha Trang was always the main destination for Russians in Vietnam, with plenty of direct flights. Going round the more touristy bar/cafe areas, you'll normally see signs in Russian before English. I'd imagine there are far fewer now than there used to be, which would explain it being so quiet.
Da Nang too!
Your videos are an inspiration to us. Keep making these videos!
Nha trang one of exotic places in Vietnam aka the diamond bay city
We will come to NT on 2/7 . It’s pity we can’t be tour guide for you . We live in Sydney. Have a great holiday in Vietnam 😉
The restaurant " chuon chuon kim" , it means golden dragonfly.

*Welcome to the beach Nha Trang - Viet Nam. From Vietnam 🇻🇳✌️*
Ok, I have a question - if you ran across a really bad hotel, restaurant, food, service, etc - would you included in your video? Many travel bloggers don't because they are afraid of repercussion, which I understand. But would you?
Yep! We have in the past. We are as honest and transparent as possible.
"Chuồn Chuồn Kim" in Vietnamese meaning "Tiny dragonfly"_FYI
Chúc hai bạn vui vẻ khi đến Việt Nam.nha trang khí hậu và biển thật tuyệt vời!

Hello Mandy and Lloyd,
The meaning of Chuon Chuon Kim is Golden Dragonfly....
Thanks for letting us know :)
Definitely an Asian thing. I found this in Indonesia as well - they all come down to the beach late in the afternoon.
Hey, I'm thinking to bring my DJI Mini 2 with me in July. Did you have to register your drone and stuff?
no
Legally yes, but nobody does. Just avoid military and political building at all costs.
4 Is hanoi is a crowded city?,
5 Do they have tourist information?
6 Do they have many five stars hotels in hanoi specifically along the cost ?
7 Is it safe to drink the water?
8 is it safe to eat meat in Vietnam?
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards
Spencer x
Do you get time to workout in the gym during your travels?
