Thank you for this video as I am learning from your tips and tricks. That dendrobium looks very beautiful and from how you re-pot I believe you will not loose any buds or blooms. Love the journey that I am on with you.
Thank you for all your great videos. I have a 24 year old dendrobium orchid which has overgrown its glass vase. Today I discovered it has a keiki. I would like to know if I have to repot it. If so, I think I will have to break the vase to get it out. It was my first orchid and I am amazed I could keep it alive for all these years and after a time I learned how to make it bloom.
This video is SO incredibly satisfying! I loved the update on this orchid and I always love seeing plants get repotted. Just an idea, but that bit at 4:58 to 5:03 is very relaxing to listen to - have you thought about doing a series of repotting videos that are a few minutes of those sounds and maybe some soft music in the background? I know I'd LOVE that :) Thanks for a great video!
Thank you for doing this repotting video! I just got my first dendrobium in the mail (den. constrictum). I haven’t been able to find a source that said it needs winter rest, but I am guessing it does as a member of the Pedilonum section. However, this one doesn’t seem to be seasoned as it has new growths that are about 5cm long. So I plan to keep watering it and want to repot it soon. Thank you for all your dendrobium videos that are teaching me what to look out for.
Hi I have a question about my dendrobium mangosteen. Do they need lots of sun or filtered? My leaves are starting to turn yellow. How much water is needed weekly? Thanks. The leaves are also splitting.
I have a very huge dendrobium. It is in bound in a pot within a pot. The canes are at least 4 feet high. I desperately needs repotting and I'm afraid to touch it for fear of damaging it. Can you help?
hi.. im new here in ur channel....i just want to ask if its ok to put a slow release fertilizer in dendrobium that just has a spike sprouting in it??hopenul answer my ?.......thnks alot n it was good watching u repotting ....
How do I know which roots are bad in a dendrobium? They’re all dark brown, starting to grow upward out of the pot. Is that a sign they’re dry or bad? Full transparency, I used to water it with ice cubes until I learned from you that’s unhealthy. Thanks!
I am trying to grow an orchid that a friend gave me . It's a Phla I have it for three years and I decided to repot itt cause the roots were all packed around the bark and some were dying. . But now it lost some leaves and I don't want it to die. What can I do. It was always hydrated . It was doing good on the beginning. What did I do wrong. Please advise. Thanks
Love these repotting videos, can't get enough of them. My appartment doesent have enough space for my desire to buy new orchids and care for them xD So I watch your repotting videos and pretend it's my orchid. Sadly I missed the Frances Fox Merch, I love that orchid. Will it come back by any chance?
I recently received 4 dendrobiums (2 nobiles, 2 den. phalaenopsis), none of which have a single root. Is this normal? the den. phals are dormant, so have no leaves either. Should I be concerned? Are dendrobium supposed to lose all their roots as well when dormant? I have searched information on the internet and through the videos on this channel about the rest period of dens, but couldn't find anything about the roots behavior. Thank you in advance.
When I went to water my Phal I accidentally bumped it and knocked off the crown of two leaves that are pretty new and crispy green. Is there any way for me to plant these and they will grow roots?
Danny, I so love your channel! The video where that orchid broke apart was heartbreaking; glad to see she’s doing so well now. You’re my orchid hero. Would you consider doing a video of Leca fails? Which orchid types (or individuals) hate it, love it or are totally indifferent? I’m having varied outcomes with my orchids repotted all in Leca or Leca mixes.
@@MissOrchidGirl I love the way you explain. Thank you. I would like to know how old is this orchid and how many times has it been repotted and divided before this one.
Your confidence in these videos really makes me feel more confident about my own plants :)

Thanks Dani. I just repotted one of my dendrobiums and made a little cut at the base to encourage new growth. I learn so much from you. 🕊🕊
Hi Danny. Pitch perfect, thanks. Spring is just around the corner and this is as good a time to begin with an early headstart.

I noted some use rice water for some sort of fertilisation claiming the rice water will make the orchid flower endlessly. What is your opinion/advice
