It was a great battle report. It's a tough matchup for intercession but still very winnable. I think there were 2 to 3 things that intercession could have done differently which would have made a difference. Operative selection could have made a difference. For switching the shooty leader plus assault Intercessor for a standard Intercessor and assault sergeant with plasma pistol would have given intercession some short range burst damage that the team really needed. Going from hitting on 2s with a guy who never ended up shooting to hitting on 3s is worth it to get a plasma pistol. Secondly, I don't think the intercessor's tac op selection really matched the strategy.to score central control they needed to win a big brawl in the corridor, but the overall strategy looks like it was to aggressively get objectives TP1 and then secure the upper room and hold the safe objectives. That calls for spreading out more. Other solid options would have been seek and destroy with eliminate guards, rob and ransack and champion of mankind (faction tacop) or something similar. Alternatively, champion of mankind subs into security really well and you could take seize hatchway and secure centerline or even escort operative so that tacops don't make you play the game you don't want to. The last thing that would probably have made a difference is the use of the leader. TP 2, he just went on guard, but it looked like he could have taken two shots at the plasma gunner instead. There's a chance he would have got the kill, but if he got unlucky and only put a little bit of damage on him, the charge in TP3 would have finished the plasma gunner off rather than getting the assault intercessor killed.
I just found your channel and subscribed. If I could give one piece of advice, and it's a small one. There are some points in the beginning where it sounded scripted. I really look forward to future videos. The paint on the mini's and terrain look awesome!!
