I started here after listening, but decided i needed to tailor this whole thing into something i do for me. SO i took my juicing and made it into souping :D Now I have a soup habit I can't kick.
Hi, I have multiple health issues and I am planning on trying celery juicing to see if there will be any benefits. I Love your natural down to earth style, thank you.
Celery juicing was great for me. After obtaining all the results I was shooting for, I switched to the carnivore diet and got even BETTER results! That was a few years ago and now I'm in tip-top shape. No sign of any health problems, perfect check-ups and since I switched to carnivore I have SO MUCH MORE ENERGY and I feel great all the time. One particular thing it cured was migraine headaches. No sign of them now after several years. I did the celery cleanse for only 1 year but I've been on the carnivore diet for several years after that and I'm so glad I switched. Perfect check-ups every year now!
There are veggie saver sheets, its like a neon green mesh looking thing. You can stuff one in that storage container and it'll keep your celery stalks super fresh. I like that separate container idea. My vegetable drawer isnt big enough for what I'm getting myself into. Just got my juicer today...
OMG I feel your pain! We have a second refrigerator and I couldn't live without it now!!! It's usually completely full of celery! I've never heard of these veggie saver sheets, but will have to look into it - could be useful for so many veggies. Are you going to be juicing just celery or doing all kinds of things?!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'd like to know more about the routine how you use zeolite. Can it be added to the juice or do you drink it separately? Before or after the juice? Once a day or more? Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching! I'm currently at around 18 months of celery juicing. It's been an interesting journey, but I do feel like it's helping with healing. When I hit the 2-year mark, I plan on doing another video about my experience!
I'm going to try this for a little while but just think: would you ever eat/drink THAT much celery naturally? NO. It's probably good for a detox routine but I feel that the longer you do this, the more addicted/used to it your body gets. And when you try to go back to "normal" fats and meat you feel sick (because your body is not used to it - not because it's "bad" for you). Don't make this the center of your digestive life. Try to eat a balanced/healthy diet along with this.
I've started drinking celery juice every morning again, well done doing 8 months straight! I did 3 months straight last year and I think at that point my body was really starting to detox, I always had pimples on my butt and I was pooping 5 times a day so I backed off. I might try push through it this time. I live in Australia and sourcing celery here is no stress, though I just get conventional celery as our organic is expensive and really tiny. I can't get wild blueberries here though.
I need to film an update because I'm still doing my celery juicing - I'm at around 15 months now!!! Yes, the weird detox symptoms are very real. My forehead still has a lot of bumps on it and I know it's from detoxing. My digestion is pretty much normal now, but at the beginning, yowza! I definitely notice that I feel yucky if I take a day off. And if I eat a bunch of crap, I really crave celery juice (but I only make it in the morning, so if I eat something yucky later in the day, I'm not getting my juicer out again...I hate cleaning the juicer).
I started celery juice and I feel way better. Before I would feel like my food would get stuck in my small intestine. The only thing I don’t like about celery juice is make it at home 😝I’m lazy 😊
Medical Medium says add notjhing else, not even water. It really depends on if you value his imput or not. Celery is helpful either way its just more potent alone according to him.
I always just do celery juice by itself, but I often will make a separate juice after I've finished juicing the celery - because hey why not, the juicer is already dirty?! I always drink 32 oz of water with lemon juice right away when I get up, then do 24 - 32 oz of celery juice, then sometimes will do another juice a bit later on in the morning (usually I do one or two apples, some fresh ginger and turmeric, and a burdock root if I can find it - so good for cleaning out the liver!). If you are new to celery juicing and think it will taste gross, sure, you could do a mix of things to sort of ease yourself into the flavor of drinking straight celery juice (I get it, I thought it tasted terrible when I first started!), but I'd say the goal would be to get to just plain celery after awhile.
It is definitely a commitment and can be kind of a pain in the butt sometimes, I will be honest. Since I've started to prep a few days worth of celery in advance, though, it does seem to be a bit faster of a process. I think Medical Medium talks about celery juicing during breastfeeding and says it's ok - but don't quote me on that!
Celery is so easy to regrow. If you cut the bottom off and set them into hydroponics, you can mess around with the nutrients in the water to get the greenest celery
Hi! Yes! I use a very watered down mollasses solution. For me the problem is always using a whole celery before it gets pale. Instead of refridgerating I will set it in a flower vase with filtered water and a tiny bit of molasses. Its fun to experiment with too. Some people use apple cider vinegar, some people just want to keep it plump, some need a little salts. One thing to remember is many celeries are cut off at the base then dipped into anti growth solution. Shave the very bottom off of the plant. After shopping: Food Prep Flower Vase with filtered water and molasses solution or some version Shave base of celery Place celery in vase. Once used, the base may have roots, feel free to grow it in your garden. @@MoonWitch77
So I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes I feel ok with it, sometimes I feel weird. When I first started taking it, I got this weird patch of eczema next to my nose and it took a good chunk of time to go away. I paused with it for a good chunk of time, probably a year or so, then started taking it now and then this winter. I didn't have any weird reactions with it this time, but sometimes it can be constipating. In general, I do feel like it helps, but I think I need to figure out the best rhythm for myself (if I do it daily, I feel like it's too much). I think the instructions say to take 1 tsp, but I only take 1/2 tsp. I think it's a good product and trust it, but I think it really depends on the person if it causes side effects. (I wish I could put a tiny camera into my body to see if it's actually absorbing yucky stuff.)
So, in short, you constantly detox, it never stops... Its never finished and you have better eating habits. Seems like a complicated habit if you can just learn to eat healthily and detox thru other means, eg sweating.
Oh I'm sure I was (and still am) iron deficient. Even though I take iron supplements, I definitely have an anemia issue. Slowly trying to figure this out, but man, it can be quite the challenge navigating health issues!
$1.48 a pound?! That's not that bad, especially for WF! Whenever I get to a Costco, I will buy 10 packs of celery (sadly I don't live near Costco anymore).
Juicing celery, does one use the leaves? I grow my own and while the stalks are not that wide, they have loads of leaves and I don't wish to waste anything??
You can definitely use the leaves! If the celery I bought had a lot of leaves, I would use them for sure. So cool that you grow your own! Yes, use all of it! I think that the leaves have a lot of good nutrients, too.
Since you do buy so much to juice, why not use the cut off bottom and put it in dirt and let it grow. You may not grow enough for awhile but it is better than throwing it away.
I end up composting it. Sadly my life has been a bit all over the place and haven't had a consistent place to plant it. But yes, that would be the ideal solution! (I compost all of my produce scraps - gosh I hate the idea of throwing away those big celery ends...if I'm at a friend's house and they don't compost and I see all of that stuff go in the trash, I die a little inside).
A regular market near me carries really nice Organic celery. Just got a good size bunch for 1.29. But I try to do close to 16oz. I can’t do more than that in the morning. Also I haven’t eat meat for years. Thankfully I don’t have digestive problems. Have you thought maybe you are drinking too much celery juice at one time?
Wow that's a good price for organic, nice! I think my body is just slowly detoxing and is getting to this point where it's happy that I'm not putting in certain things - and then if I do eat certain things, my body is like NOOOOOO DUMMIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I generally do about 24 oz of celery juice and feel good with it, so I don't think it's that I'm having too much. But maybe if I had 16 oz in the morning and then another 8 oz later in the day, it might make a difference. Thanks for the idea!
I'd say at least 8, maybe? I can usually get 16 oz from a nice big bunch of celery. It all just depends on the size of the bunch, how fresh it is, etc.

I always drink it in the morning and it really gets my digestion moving along. If I ate something heavy the night before and wake up feeling kinda gross, celery juice always helps me feel better.

That's so interesting and I'm very curious about the answer to this. I feel sooooo much better when I drink celery juice, but like you, I also have relatively low blood pressure (I have a blood pressure cuff and need to figure out how to use it, but I'm frequently told by nurses that it's a bit low).
