- New favorite tool in the garage. Other than the stink of burning oil this is super satisfying.

Very interesting as I get a lot of customers asking about these types of dents and I hadn’t thought to try this. Thank you for your Help and good luck with your channel. I’ve subscribed 😊
Thanks, I took a look through your channel as well. Interesting stuff, I don't do much body work on cars but you got another sub too haha
Nice bro
Good stuff, I want to try this as well.
it's a little addicting, I keep looking for more dents in my pipes
@@GarageAddiction wondering if I should pull the trigger on the air kit. I really only have one pipe I need to work on. They’re kind of pricey.
@@SkillCollectors I picked it up knowing I'd probably do at least 3 but I'm guessing it's cheaper than having a shop do it and a decent amount less than a new pipe. I guess it depends on how bad your pipe is🤔
Happy New Years.
Happy new years!
That is absolutely amazing!👍👍👍. Top job. With a twin burner? I wish I could do this on car exhaust? Cheers from Australia mate!
Cheers! The MAPP gas gets up to about 5.3k Fahrenheit while the propane is ~3600, that really did the trick. I saw a few posts on people using it with car exhausts, they were talking about 20-40psi and MAPP gas to get dents out of headers too.
@@GarageAddiction cheers heaps for the quick reply ❤ 👍. I'm going to practice on some scrap exhaust before I try my car!
💪 Best of luck! I have to admit it's a little addictive, I have another 3 pipes lined up haha
You need to fill the pipe with water otherwise it’s really a bomb dude. Be safe.
I feel that would make it boil, causing even more pressure to build up eventually exploding. Just like you’re not supposed to cut with a torch on concrete cause the water in it will cause it to explode idk though 🤷🏻♂️

It reduces the amount of potential energy in the canister , it’s the same thing you do when testing pressure vessels. .
I've never seen a pipe fixed with a torch while full of water but now I'm interested. I was thinking about going the pure hydraulic method but a video AvE did forever ago on hydraulic injection injuries turned me off to that haha.
@@GarageAddiction
You don’t use the torch and your compressor won’t go up to the 10,000 psi that hydraulic systems run at.
The pressure inside of a vessel filled with water will be the same but because there is less compressed air there is less potential energy.
@@Whateverpoopiepants I'd be curious what you'd have to push the psi to in that system to remove the dents without heat. I imagine it's higher than 100psi.
