    What an amazing port, having an absolute blast with it! Runs so smooth it's making my brain melt lol.
    I think you've uploaded enough content for a whole week, do enjoy the damn game for once 😂

      Hah true. It's something I always thought about watching content creators I follow who review games and do this for a living and wonder if they even get to enjoy the games trying to meet deadlines and fight the algorithms. I'm the type of person that doesn't like to be rushed and normally play games exploring, going out of the way, reading written entries if I'm immersed in the universe. Taking photos. Hate being rushed though lol, I cant stand games or missions with timers unless its some sort of a 2D platformer maybe.

      @@TerraWare Yup I'm with you there, it's one of the reasons I love souls so much, it's not just the combat but the deep lore which you can only uncover by taking your time to explore every nook and cranny.
      It's good you're not trying to chase the algorithm although it's understandable why creators need to do so, but sometimes you gotta actually take a weekend off lol.

    4k 120fps is great for this GPU, very nice to see that. The 1% lows are really good too so looks like a solid port. Looking forward to seeing the 3080ti too and how that will do with DLSS and FSR3 frame gen, it's great for Nvidia 2000 and 3000 users.
    That Strix 6800XT looks amazing btw, and runs so cool temps wise!

    There is some weird performance problem with CPUs in this port. And sometimes textures or effects (some of them) glitch a bit. I hope they will patch it. Other than this‚ I am absolutely happy with this port. Also‚ it would be cool if they could fix the simmering in some cutscenes with FSR 3 when DOF is used and there is some vegetation blurred in the background‚ it doesn't happen all the time‚ weirdly‚ and overall FSR 3 looks really good in this game‚ even at 1080p (ofc there is still some disocclusion around the character when using FSR3 upscaling‚ but FSR3 Native AA is almost perfect). Also‚ I would love if they would add a sharpening slider for upscalers‚ as XeSS is too soft/blurry‚ and FSR3 is a bit over-sharpened.

    • @TerraWare
      @TerraWare  2 месяца назад +1

      I'm not a big fan of over sharpened image usually, something FSR is usually guilty of and its also something that can contribute to more flickering, something FSR can also be guilty of compared to other upscales but in this game I think it kind of works.

    I am getting 70,80, 90 fps on 7800xt on 4k with fsr q. on v. high... FSR looks great and even FG has no obvious faults.. It blows my mind that 7800xt costs almost same like 4060ti 16gb at this point. How much of a fanboy you have to be to buy 4060ti. It needs balanced dlss and frame gen just to get slim 60 fps on 4K...

    looks like amd is performing very good in this game. i have a 4090 and at native 4k dlaa max settings i get around 80-100fps. hope they can improve the performance on nvidia gpu`s. I wish everyone lots of fun with this great game

    • @TerraWare
      @TerraWare  2 месяца назад

      Yeah I looked at the 4090 already. The XTX is kind of close to it although I will do a head to head comparison eventually. AMD does pretty well in these Nixxes ports. Maybe because the PS5 runs on similar architecture.
      Im uploading the 3080Ti video right now and am pretty much seeing similar numbers to the 6800XT so I would say AMD have the advantage in this game by a bit.

    I've tried the game on my 6900XT and running the game at 4K native max settings with the addition of FSR3 Frame generation crashes my game every time, immediately after enabling FS3 frame generation.
    I'm on the latest AMD drivers and I also have a 5900X CPU.
    Game runs fine otherwise so long as i don't try and use FS3
    I get about the same FPS as you do on your 6800XT at 4K Native max settings. With upscaling via FSR 2 quality or XEss at ultra quality I get about high 70's average FPS.
    I've also tried AMFM via the the AMD software and the game appears to run significantly smoother with it enabled.
    One thing I've noticed is that I get very high GPU memory utilization, about 13-14GB on my 6900XT when I run this game with 4K native max settings.
    I think I run out GPU memory when i try enabling FS3 Frame-generation at 4K native and that causes my game to crash.
    I also have 48in 4K 120hz monitor and I think I'll finally try out my 4090 that ive had for awhile as I want to get most of my games to run at 4K Native 120hz.

    • @TerraWare
      @TerraWare  2 месяца назад

      Between making this 6800XT and the 7900XTX videos I too experienced a few game crashes when enabling FSR frame gen. It's something I wanted to mention but forgot.
      Kind of strange that it happens to you every time you enable it though.
      If I had to guess there was a bout a 20 - 30% of a crash when enabling FSR frame gen for me. I def shouldve mentioned it.

    You said you have a 3080ti which gpu would you recommend for 1440p the 3080 ti or rx 6800 xt. Where i live i can pick an open box rx 6800 xt for the same price as a 3080 ti second hand. Which would be the better buy in you're opinion.

    • @TerraWare
      @TerraWare  2 месяца назад

      For 1440P and the same price I would probably go for the 3080Ti because it is generally faster and have access to DLSS is nice but I don't think it's that big of a difference really.
      AMDs driver software suite is more user friendly and I prefer it over the Nvidia alternative

    • @stangamer1151
      @stangamer1151 2 месяца назад

      All Sony former exclusives were optimized for AMD hardware in the first place, since both PS4 and PS5 have AMD APUs. No wonder their games run better on AMD discrete GPUs, especially RDNA 2, which is the architecture PS5 is based on.
      R&C is probably the only exception, as this one was sponsored by Nvidia, so specific optimizations were made for their GPUs.
