- Here my version of the Great Fairy Fountain theme for 4 cellos and pianist Tae Yeon Lim! We play through the theme 3 times. First 2 times I tried to use the same voicing from game, but on the 3rd round I changed it up a bit and used some lines I've heard from other fairy fountain themes. Enjoy!
This plays when I come down from my room to eat dinner
Lmao
What’s for dinner??

PitTan I feel exactly the same!
HEART strings :-D
aIeeeIii
I was literally thinking the other day that I'd love to hear the string part from Skyward Sword's Fountain theme over Breath of the Wild's piano arrangement, and here it is. Really great work!
Yessss!
And at the very end I heard a bit of the concert version, too! With an F# that the choir sings, right?
I always feel like your covers are better than the original. Amazing work as always
Ugh, I can’t get over how perfect your intonation is. Do you do any post beside stitching the parts together? Because hot damn.
Also, I was a little disappointed that the piano held the melody at first, but then the rest came in and I was blown away. You have incredible ear for arrangement, as usual haha.
Honestly it’s a lot of work on intonation. This video in particular I had to completely start over from scratch after putting it together once. The first time I tuned to myself using just tuning, but after listening back so many of my B flats and other notes were just so flat. I had to go back and re record everything tuning to the piano, which was recorded first. After that it took a while to get it where I was satisfied
yes yes
@@CelloBassett That's incredible dedication. You have my highest respect.
This should be on spotify dude!!!!!
Funny how close you can get to the ingame sound when it's a real-instruments soundtrack. I think i'll always prefer synths, but anyway amazing job!
I love the part where he plays the switch and sways to the music
Hehe glad you enjoyed :)
Woohoo! Great job BOTH of you!
Absolutely divine.
This is a song I've heard countless times. Yet you made it sound new.
Imagine writing music like this and being deaf, I think about it all of the time.
god this cover is just so beatiful honest to god felt chills listening.
Awww thanks for stopping by and giving a listen!
Tae yeon plays the piano so nicely in this one! You also sound amazing as usual!
It feels SO expressive, and so broad and open- like you're taking your cello for a nice stroll in spring around the neighborhood or something. xD SO very nice.
Amazing video, cello sounds so peaceful
The one dislike is from Ganondorf. Fantastic job, as always! 👍🏼
Your sound of the cello is so beautiful!

Beautiful performance. It's just a nitpick but it would be wonderful to hear the piano recorded with two microphones to pan it out across both ears. It also started sounding a bit harsh when played loudly at 0:40 from peaking/compression although it can probably be a bit hard to get a hold of microphones these days. Don't get me wrong though, the playing and intonation is perfect :)
I actually did record with 2 mics in the piano! I bounced a mixed version of both tracks into one but didn’t do any stereo panning of the 2. Next time I will for sure! With my current living situation the only thing I have to mix is headphones. Just curious what kind of speakers you are listening through? When I listen through my phone whole thing sounds harsh, but in my headphones it’s fine, not sure how to fix that. I never mess with compression Becuase I’m not very Experience with it . Do you think alittle would help in this instance? Thanks for your input!
@@CelloBassett Oh I use headphones myself so I'm in the same boat as you. Might just be the piano having that sound when played loudly and although it's not unpleasant, it sounded slightly distorted as if the microphone gain was set too high. The last C and D notes in the measures before the G minor chord starts at 0:44 and 1:06 are probably more accurate examples.
Slight compression might be neat if the attack of the notes are a bit sharp (percussion, for example) but I like that you don't use it for strings as your arrangements are very dynamic. I recommend messing around with it though, and hear how it sounds on your recordings. Looking forward to hear your new arrangements!
Jonas Bjordal thanks man! I love feedback like this, as I want my recordings so sound amazing ultimately. Appreciate your support!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
These hands seem like only hands with no body. I must be going insane
Lol, yes they are my pet hands
how long does recording these things usually take? And also would there be any way for you to post sheet music of the music you play? Cuz i would totally buy that
Nesquik hey! Recording time varies with how many parts I’m recording and how long the track is, but I usually try to do all the recording in a day, this one took 2 because I didn’t like how the first one turned out! I do have sheet music, but they are very rough looking. No dynamics or articulations. Sometimes the note lengths aren’t correct on the music itself Because I use them as just a rough guide. Writing out the arrangement is my least favorite part of the process so I usually just rush through it 😅
dude how do you get that tone in the upper register like that this is so amazing
Shit fire homie
Can we get a 3 hour loop of this?
The 3rd time is skyward sword harmonies right?? It goes so well with the breath of the wild piano
Its so beautiful I have this on repeat
Yes that’s correct!
I hope that after botw you do secret of Mana
You are a Amazing Musician
I came for cello not piano 🤨
.75x speed, thank me later
First, just to get it said: I'm deeply envious of your musical ability, and I love what you're doing with your talents. However, I'm troubled by how your videos tend to show off the fact that you can afford all these groovy items--especially the Switch, and the Zelda game itself. It seems like you're just rubbing that in, and it hurts.
Brynn Kennedy I’m sorry bro! Thanks for watching!
