Awesome seeing you make the R3 your own, having something *completely* stock just ain't the same. I actually wanted to recommend a youtube channel that modified the R3/R25,but it seems that you already have it on your playlist :)
I have to same bike minus the mods but to your comment about people dissing on a smaller bike like who cares what people say just enjoy your sick bike it's a blessing be thankful to God for the pleasure of riding 🙏 and safety. R3 gang haha 💯👍😎
OK ! I’m 1:21 in to the video . I’m looking to get my first bike love the R3’s but wanted to do some research on if I could mod it to go faster as I want more power but a smaller bike. Your puppy pic with the hound pic made me say ok this is the bike LOL . You said it’s so different? thanks man. Keep making video and I’ll be around
Agree, sprocket change is the best performance mod. Just increase the rev limiter to 13k to get back the small loss in top speed. Exhaust is a very minor performance change but sounds so good. Do the air box mod and KN filter. big sound change!!
I ride my new MT-03 (naked R3) for a month now. 600 km, just finished my first chain lube lol. So far I don't even care about exhaust sound or sprockets. But after a month of casual riding I already ordered R6 throttle tube. Even for a complete beginner stock throttle tube is just off. With stock tube you have to change hand grip to completely close the throttle when braking. And this is so wrong and even dangerous.
@Moto Chris.......Dope mods man, I just got my 2020 Monster edition and I want to do the throttle tube swap. Are all the throttle tubes on the r6 standard fit and size or do I need a specific one to fit on my bike ?
Hey I got a question for you. You seem to ride a lot when it’s cold outside and there’s snow on the grass. Aren’t you afraid that salt on the road may damage your bike and if so how do you deal with it? I’m Canadian so I am interested in this. Thanks.
Well I normally try to ride when the roads are about 80% dry. Most of the salt is gone or pushed off the the side at that point. Snow doesn't stick around for too long here😂 just wipe your bike down when you're done and store it somewhere dry
Hey Chris, did you have any engine problems or issues running a full system without a tune/fuel remap? Thinking about getting a deCAT system and getting a bunch of conflicting information.
I got an SC Project full exhaust for my 2016 R3 without a tune and so far the only thing I can really tell is with the emissions system it shoots crazy fireballs but haven’t noticed a decrease in power or anything
@danieldesilva8659 I'm planning to get a full system on mine too. I'm not satisfied with pathetic slipon sound i want to delete the cat but some people say its bad and will damage the engine if I do not tune or remap on dyno run or some shit. Shits like that cost a lot and there is no shop which can perform those in where I live. I'm confused whether to tune or not i dont mine the backfires. How about yours still running fine?
@@leonskennedy8799 yeah I’ve heard so many mixed opinions I’m not sure which to believe. I’ve only had my system on for about a month now and it still seems to be running great. Just to be safe I think down the road I’m gonna flash my ecu through Norton Motorsport. It’s only $350 compared to the $500+ power commander and I’ve heard that’ll clear up the A/F ratio as well as some extra options power commander doesn’t offer
Hey Chris I also have a Yamaha r3 and want to install a aftermarket exhaust. I heard that you need a power commander to go with. Do you need to dyno tune your bike with the power commander?
The power commander will basically tune the bike for you. It plugs into your fuel system and you can change the mapping in the bike’s computer by using it with your laptop.
# Very useful, sensible and helpful review. , I'm a beginner motorcyclist, my first bike at age 48 end am small 166cm, I drive daily to work in the city and also the highway( Commuting) and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, is a good option for me? Is this bike good enough and usually commuting friendly? Any way great video Be safe
Bro been watching ur content for a while and love ur channel ❤️🙏🏽💯 one question tho, I’m interested in getting an R3 or an MTO3 , the MTO3 is more of a naked bike . Which one would you choose for commuting and general fun rides?
I don't know too much about the mt03. But IF it's the same engine and body position just go with what you think looks best. I don't think there's a wrong answer
theyre same same but for fork internals.... otherwise EXACTLY same engine and trans .... handlebars and top triple is it for suspension..... and of course bodywork..... mattera not what ya ride it matters only that you ride
I would sacrifice a little top speed for more bottom grunt with gear changes...... I mean, with a small motor you really need all the pull you can get out of it. And what's the big deal of sacrificing a little bit of top end from it's original top speed of 110 mph or whatever, not like it's gonna make a difference going from 110 mph to 100 mph, it ain't like you are someone who runs away from cops and need all the extra top speed you can get to get away from them on the highway. Gnome-sayin'?
@ColeMelly it's a steel mesh sheet that protects your radiator. And if you're wondering what a radiator is, it's your engines cooling system. It's a reservoir of water and coolant that circulates through your engine. Carrying heat to the radiator which in turn uses A.) Fans at stops to pull air through the radiator to cool the fluid and B.) Uses the air passing through the radiator at speed to also cool the fluid. Therefore removing heat from the engine and expelling it to the atmosphere.
thats a Ram. get the one on amazon that has a Ball socket with a screw going through it. you can attach that into the 8mm bolt that goes through the handlebars
REALLY.? You reduced the sprocket? after modifiying the bike? i have 2015. i bought years ago. it is modified. Why make the bike slower. sounds very unwise for a street bike.
They are not great they are soft plastic and will probably only save your bike if it tips at very low speeds or while stationary. I have heard of people getting their clutch case ripped off by them since it bolts into it
@@greyjavu8767 Try Partzilla? Recently got rear seat side fairings(?) for my 2017 r3 from there and it took about a week to be shipped out. It depends on what's in stock in the warehouse nearby. I'm in southern California.

Moto Chris well I mean it’s still fast enough to keep up with basic fast traffic flow but yea factoring that wind 🌬 I suppose is a bit different since your bike is lighter now
Yeah ok I just got an 2016 r3 just for commuting, but I cant understand why people put toooooo much money on these small bikes , my real bike is a 08 triumph Daytona 675 when I want real power, your just making others rich and 4 what , u will be blowing that engine soon 😈
Those are nice beginning mods. I really like the r3 That said, the exhaust is louder, but there's alot better exhaust out there. Your mods are cool, but don't make it seem like you're riding an r1 all of a sudden. It's cool, but not too harsh for a beginner. Stop
any time ya mess with the sprockets ya lose top end? ..... ummmmmmm huh? sooooo we cant go for top end huh? do 1up 2 down i bet ya dont lose top end assuming it will pull the gear..... its loud and yer first bike is why you decided its badass..... sorry bro its still a 300 it still has no power (my stock dual port aircooled VW makes 40hp) lol if the front wheel stays on the ground thru 1st an 2nd its SLOWWWWWWW..... when you move up youll see

New fairings for the whole thing soon
Hey what after market levers did you go for with this? I know it’s your old bike but I’m curious
I run my mt03 (same power) way higher in the rippems stock and it is dank af. I did the tube thing. Best thirty dollars ever. Ride that thing bro!
do you have a link where you bought your r6 throttle tube? thanks in advance! looks sick btw
hey did u ever find a link for it?
I like the fairings gone. Saves like 25 lbs at least. Mine are also removed and I still manage 114 mph out of my stock bike.
Only 114? Mine completely stock hit 124

This my fav r3 year/color combo
wow that was cool i love the mufler,i have YZF R3 model 2020
Got a couple questions about the R3. What’s the best way to message you on a current social media account ..?
I only gave my friends accessories, maybe for my bike in the future :)
Whats the name of the mobile holder?
whats the topspeed with the different sprocket?

I did m4, power commander, AND k&n, monster 2020 R3
Would be nice if you tell us where you did order these parts :) Im also interested.
Hi! Please tell me, what is the maximum speed now has a motorcycle with this tuning?
Handles amazing too speed is about 110mph depending on your weight

are there any other exhaust systems that spit flames?
1 tooth down from the front only? So u didn't change the rear sprocket?
Just the front. I may go 2 or 3 up in the back sometime in the future but I want to take it slow. I've got a lot to learn before I move up to that
Can you do a top speed of your bike with the new mods?
Have you considered an ecu flash?
Link for parts???

If you want prefer better canyon/Twisties performance go with r3 if commuting is more important mt03
I don't know too much about the mt03. But IF it's the same engine and body position just go with what you think looks best. I don't think there's a wrong answer
jonathan benelisha yeah I think the R3 has more RPM at 12,500 and I think the MT03 at 10,000 RPM but the engine is the exact same , what a dilemma 😅
theyre same same but for fork internals.... otherwise EXACTLY same engine and trans .... handlebars and top triple is it for suspension..... and of course bodywork..... mattera not what ya ride it matters only that you ride

I feel you man! That's exactly why I did it. I may even go for a more aggressive gear change in the future
While you have your fairings off you should install a radiator guard.
what’s that ?
@ColeMelly it's a steel mesh sheet that protects your radiator. And if you're wondering what a radiator is, it's your engines cooling system. It's a reservoir of water and coolant that circulates through your engine. Carrying heat to the radiator which in turn uses A.) Appreciate the info!
Which phone mount did you buy?
thats a Ram. get the one on amazon that has a Ball socket with a screw going through it. you can attach that into the 8mm bolt that goes through the handlebars
Just need to upgrade the suspension and hit the track.
REALLY.? You reduced the sprocket? after modifiying the bike? i have 2015. i bought years ago. it is modified. Why make the bike slower. sounds very unwise for a street bike.
Suggestion - Once you get the new fairing, you should get and review the integrated frame sliders from yamaha. Thank you
They are not great they are soft plastic and will probably only save your bike if it tips at very low speeds or while stationary. I have heard of people getting their clutch case ripped off by them since it bolts into it
Everytime you rev, it gives too much " eargasm " ffs I need that M4 for my future r3
Where are you ordering your fairings from, I need some and I haven’t been able to locate a vendor. Thanks in advance
Did you ever find out? I wanna know too
@@greyjavu8767 Try Partzilla? Recently got rear seat side fairings(?) for my 2017 r3 from there and it took about a week to be shipped out. It depends on what's in stock in the warehouse nearby. I'm in southern California.
What’s the 0-60 after new sprocket
What exhaust is that?
What is the new top speed with the sprocket change?
Do a vid on driving in the winter
Which there was links for those mods tips.
not a damn link in the description to any of the mods, especially the throttle tube

Anyone know where to get a passenger foot peg delete kit
Dope vid, so what was the top speed prior to the new sprocket and what is it now after that upgrade?
Top speed prior with me on it was about 110mph on a day with no wind haha. Not it's probably 95mph - 100mph
Moto Chris well I mean it’s still fast enough to keep up with basic fast traffic flow but yea factoring that wind 🌬 I suppose is a bit different since your bike is lighter now
Yeah rarely do I ever go over 100 mph you can easily go 80 and filter through traffic just fine
Do you guys know what sprocket he has??
1 tooth down on the R3 is a 13t front sprocket. Stock is 14t
What grips are those?
Idk I still prefer Akra on r3 it sounds mean...but it’s so mainstream :/
I ride a stock R3 and it only sounds loud at 5 am when I am in my neighborhood returning from work.
Nice vidéo dud
shidd digging this alot
What part?
Moto Chris the streetfighter aesthetic is badass
Haha sweet I'm glad someone likes it! I'll probably go back to full fairings though... Maybe...
whats the name of your throttle
R6 throttle tube
Where did you order the fairings from?
From my local dealer
What’s the phone holder name?
Ram
why? Just Why?
may be better if buy MT03 than R3 with no fairing.
Wait they have a 300 FZ platform bike?

with that exhaust feels faster but without a power comander you are probably loosing power
Probably
i'm not really an expert but i have an akrapovic on mine and acording to them adding the exhaust adds 1 hp or so
Yeah definitely needs a retune on the ecu
Actually there's lots of r3 performace part in Malaysia
pizzza 456 - Probably more and better in the US: Spears, Norton, Hardracing...

Jaime Villegas - which exhausts are better?
Great downshifts, but you shold lear to clutcless upshift. Its way faster. Trust me
Y does it look naked?
an exhaust is NOT a performance mod!
