He also spoke about heavily monitoring his son after his first seizure, and how he wishes people viewed Lean like they do crack or heroin. Im 23 . I was addicted to lean at 16 had terrible seizures and withdrawals but I made it.

Lost my son to a drunk driver... Here is the whole story.. me and him where walking to the park on the sidewalk.. he was 5 .. a drunk driver in a full siZe z71 ran us over running 52 mph.. he was drunk.. the truck hit us head on.. it killed Jayden instantly.. it broke my back. My pelvis. My hips. All my right ribs. And punctured my lung.. I crawled from under the truck and saw him laying there coverd in blood about 15 ft away.. I tried getting up but from the waist down I couldn't move.. I thought I was paralyzed.. I just kept screaming his name.. he wasn't moving.. the accident happened about 1:30pm.. and they rushed me to Duke hospital ( I live in NC ) I didn't REALLY find out that he was dead until my mother walked in my room in the IC unit.. the look on her face said it all.. loosing your child in anyway shape or form is the worst pain any parent can feel.. @Epic Exactly. Codeine is an opiate, but it's nowhere near the strength of something like heroin or oxy. Generally, codeine really isn't going to cause much in the way of harm to you, unless you're using a lot of it all the time, and even then it's still unlikely to actually kill you on its own, and if it did it wouldn't be from seizures, it would be from respiratory depression. Antihistamines on the other hand (Things like Promethazine, Diphenhydramine aka Benadryl etc.) can cause some VERY strange and potentially lethal side effects when taken in large doses. That's more likely the thing that triggered the seizures, and once they started it didn't matter that he stopped sipping because the damage may have already been done. If he actually stopped sipping...
Either way, RIP to the young man and I am so sorry to his father. Unimaginable pain I'm sure.
