I tend to be a slow crocheter and put it down a lot, but this is going quickly and is pretty mindless. Which means I probably won’t put it to the side, never to finish.

I am crocheting a blanket, granny square stitch, 100% acrylic roving yarn, variegated colour way. I also had about the same amount of yarn as you lol. Using different yarn though and different colour. My blanket is black, pink, and grey.

Thank you for showing us your lovely granny square blanket, one of my favourite projects to relax with and I make lots of pet blankets and lap blankets for the elderly using this stitch. Sometimes I’ll make a variation by adding chains for a second row then granny stitch and so on but I like to just keep it simple using beautiful yarns like Cookie yarn and not think, just crochet. Currently I’m using a wool blend variegated yarn making a square. Granny stitch is like the humble graphite pencil I love for drawing, it’s simple but timeless. Crocheting from a freezing Tasmania in minus temperatures. 🥶❄️ 🧶 🌙 ❤

Hi Melody I used a 4mm hook For 2 reasons One I'm a loose Crocheter. So I tend to go down half Size or full size depending on the drape I want.. Cookie yarn recommends 4.5mm to a 5mm And 2 I wanted a tighter stitch. Depending on the yarn you are using. ..try go by what's on the label. Hope thus helps ❤
