Wow, stumbled across this video, and it gave me pause. If I were to lose every game in my collection, what would be the first to be replaced? Going by your categories:
10. FAVORITE: Last Will (One of my favorite worker placements with a fun theme, a very close second on this one is Favor of the Pharoah)
9. PARTY: Concept
8. RACING: Camel Up (still one of my favorite kooky racing/betting games)
7. ENJOYED: Wayfarers of the South Tigris (This game has grown on me in a short amount of time)
6. SOLO: Call to Adventure (Roll Player was also a very close second in this category for solo games)
5. CRUNCHY: Dinosaur Island
4. CO-OP: Forbidden Desert
3. SMALL BOX/CARD GAME: Sushi Go Party (or just Sushi Go for a small game, this was tough as Get Bit was a very close 2nd)
2. CLASSIC/INTRO GAME: Splendor (I find this plays fast and is easily teachable)
1. ROLL & WRITE: Hadrian's Wall (more Flip & Write, but felt it stuck with the theme you were going for)

Finally, I am managing to watch this. Great list.
I just did a honest-to-goodness spit take during the Fuji Flush portion. A commercial cut in right as Jamie said, "Ilya! Ya f--" and my mind has to fill in the gap...
My 10 games:
1. Blood on the Clocktower. This game is life-defining to me, and brought me into the hobby. I can't imagine ever not having it.
2. Codenames. I love it, my family that doesn't play board games loves it, it's a very good game. The other game I can't imagine not owning.
3. Everdell. I don't own this game, but I really like it. Fun cute tree game, and while it's not exactly a heavy game, it does add a bit of depth compared to a lot of other games that will probably be on this list. It also plays solo, so doesn't require friends.
4. Wingspan. I don't own this either, but if I could start my collection over, I would replace Ticket to Ride with this one as a good gateway game, because several of my board game friends hate Ticket to Ride for some reason.
5. Battlestar Galactica. I will probably never actually own this game, but if my collection is any 10 games in the world, this is one of them.
6. Shadow Hunters. I will definitely never own this, because the Fangs re-release exists and is like $12. Haven't played it, but got it for a friend, I hope it's still good. But yeah, I love this game.
7. Mansions of Madness. I too need a cooperative game, and I think this is my pick as well. It also fills the void of having different scenarios so that the same game feels different each time
8. Ethnos. This game is very similar to Ticket to Ride, but I think my friends who hate Ticket to Ride will hate it less? Another good introductory game, although it's less recognizable than Wingspan
9. 7 Wonders Duel. We have a severe shortage of 2 player games here. I don't even know if this is my favorite 2-player game but I definitely like it.
10. Coup. Everyone likes Coup lol
Honorable mention: Dominion. I struggle to imagine my collection without this game, but I also struggle to imagine this game without expansions, so it doesn't suit this list. I unfortunately have minimal exposure to other deckbuilders, so didn't have a suitable replacement.
I actually only own 4 of these games (BotC, Codenames, Ethnos, and Coup). My board game collection isn't huge, so picking 10 still feels like a pretty sizable number to me, but it's interesting to see how different it would be if I started over.

Villainous would be on my list for sure! This is such an interesting way to think about what games are most important to me/my true favorites in my collection! It would take me a while to actually come up with a list of 10 that I was happy with.

I grabbed Fuji Flush early in the year after seeing you talk about it and it quickly became a favorite. My mom requests it all the time! We've never played with more than 4, though, and mostly with 3. It'd be tough to pick just 10 games, but if I had to restart I think this would be the categories I'd pick (in no particular order):
1. Favorite: Wingspan
2. Cozy for 2: Seikatsu
3. Roll & Write: Three Sisters
4. Party: So Clover
5. Small Box: Archaeology The New Expedition (Fantasy Realms or Cafe could challenge this with more plays)
6. Race: Rajas of the Ganges
7. Puzzley: Cascadia
8. Heavy: Caverna
9. Solo: Agropolis
10. Classic: Ticket to Ride Europe (but I'd also really hate to give up Carcassonne)

Love the channel guys! We don't have many of the non-mainstream games at our house, tbh, didn't even know there were more options besides what Target/WalMart sell until discovering your channel last week after picking up Villainous and all the expansions last week. Villainous can be intimidating so it was great to see folks playing it to understand the game better.
My, probably boring list would be, 1) Dutch Blitz, 2) You Can Be A Billionaire (old 1950's game), 3) Monopoly (gotta have a classic) 4) Villainous (base game)...that's all I've got, but your videos have opened up a world of options. We still play lots of regular deck of card based games, Hearts, Sheephead, Solitaire and whatever folks feel like.

We have - not sure if we will add it right now but hopefully it heads to retail!
root, vast, mythic mischief, fort, super fantasy brawl, townsfolk tussle, creature comforts, tiny epic dungeons, too many bones, I'm not sure what would be number 10. i think 6 siege, burncycle, and oathsworn will all push some things out when they are actually here but I don't have them yet. probably tidal blades or familiar tales for my wife.

Great list guys, but definitely missing some that I couldn't imagine not getting to play anymore. 1. Ark Nova (a must) 2. Either Lost Ruins of Arnak or Dune Imperium 3. Everdale 4. Firefly (love and don't hear much talk about).

If I lost all my board games ina. fire, the very FIRST game I would start back again with is Meadow, hands down. The snosberries taste like snosberries. Yeah that probably the movie my older cousin and I first bonded over and we watched it like 3 times in a row and quote it to each other to this day. It's so dumb but so good! My list would be: final girl, fleet the dice game, frosthaven (basic of me? Maybe..but that's like years of content for me!), Ganz schon clever, blank slate, horrified universal monsters, hexplore it the 1st volume, fluxx (really any of them because they are just so easy to teach to anyone), the road to El dorado original, cartographers...I just love my roll and writes...but that's just MY personal list that isn't anyone else's personal list. I only consulted MYSELF when making this list for me. Lol

Wonderland's War is delicious chaos! And I'm just getting into Final Girl. Have only played Camp Happy Trails but have one more Season 1 vignette to go through (Carnival of Blood). Have to get up to speed before my Season 2 shipment arrives!

so many good games on this list! I think I would have ganz schon clever as my roll&write.. I know its a classic (maybe some people think its boring) but I am so addicted.. I mostly play on the phone app whenever I need a little filler but I like it as a hard copy game as well
for co-ops I would probably choose spirit island because its so replayable but I know thats also a contentious pick...
And for a John D Clair game i'd choose space base.. its one of my fav games to teach to new people because everyone stays engaged the whole time and it plays up to 5 and I feel like most of my games are max 4...

I think this is a list which is probably the most different one from person to person but I do agree with you, everyone would start with their no1. game; for me: Nemesis, followed by:
Spirit Island, Deception Murder in Hongkong, Forgotten Waters, Feed the Kraken, Ready Set Bet, Mysterium, Wingspan, Rising Sun and a large dungeon crawler for endless hours: Gloomhaven :D

Man…. I am not going on a walk in your neighborhood. There is a lot on the line. Walking a block removes power and internet from the future. What happens if you go for a swim? Bugs mutate to the size of houses but you get the ability add expansions to root?

Hey!! We have played remix. I (Jeff) really enjoyed Remix but I think Jamie was on the fence. I would say I think Fantasy Realms will continue to be the one we gravitate towards - but remix introduces a two deck system (one villain deck one hero deck) that is really neat. I think it’s a great change of pace when needed!

Once you know the rules and everyone is up to speed I’d say a 3p game would be just over an hour and a 4p game closer to 2. But increase that for rules teaching and such
My husband and I just played a two player game that took us about 1.5-2 hours. It’s a fantastic game (my favorite game of the year by far), but I haven’t ever seen it be as quick as an hour.

I’m not sure. You probably could with multiple decks, and writing new values on cards to represent cards above 13.

SLANDER! I don't NOT like this game. We have and enjoy Fuji Flush, all I will say is it's not a game I would play over and over all night. One or two times as an intro to a game night is wonderful.

Hold on a sec, meow. Did you just draw *two* cards in that Fantasy Realms clip? That's not how I recall the game working.
In the 2p variant you actually do draw two cards (then discard one) on your turn until players have 7 cards in their hand.

I normally very much enjoy their videos, but can someone explain to me what they're talking about? They went on a "walk" and lost their entire board game collection? Where did they walk to - Argentina?! Is this a joke, or just some ill conceived way to introduce the subject of their video? And this has happened to them twice - WTF?! I guess I could've watched past the first two minutes, or scrolled through the comments to get some additional info, but honestly I didn't find this pretext very funny.
