This would be a great way to distribute media for multiple classes. It appears very easy for the end user. But at $20 per month PER SCREEN... it is just way out of the ballpark for some of us.

Thanks Ryland. The software was actually created at a church near me called Northview in Carmel Indiana. It’s great stuff. I highly recommend it!

We use playlister for our kids ministry and a bunch of one-off events at our church. Nothing but positive feedback "and no complaints" from the people needing to use it. It's one of those things that just works.
While the need to run such a simple software on an Apple TV might seem like overkill, it lowers the barrier for those using it who are already used to a home electronic style setup. Would not be the same experience cobbling together a pi/android box + remote.
The price seems steep at first but after using it we find it to have throughtful well-balanced features to save us time and headache. Well worth the price for that.

Love this. I would never know about this tech without you sharing it. Thanks for being the expert for experts.

Small problem: the cost. Monthly subscription plus the $100+ Apple TV seems a bit much. They should've got it to run on Raspberry Pi's

I hear you. For us the cost of a Mac mini to run pro7 along with the need to have a site license for pro it made sense for our use case in kids ministry.

      Now you got me thinking.

That's pretty neat if you are using a curriculum that is integrated. As a very small church, 4 screens would consume close to all of our children's ministry budget. I did something similar by ripping all the videos off the DVD, loading on to RUclips, then inserting into Google Slides (or Prezi for myself on the Sunday's I am teaching).

That said, we don't have propresenter or anything else running in those rooms so anything is an additional expense. I can also see if you have a very large kids and youth program like Central, a "central" management platform can make this a lot easier.

    What about VideoPsalm?
Kids at Sunday school love it at our church

But sharing a presentation using Apple TV is extremely easy and free. I don’t see the need to pay for something you can do just sharing your screen. It doesn’t make sense. I use Apple TV every day in school for my classes and I don’t need an specific app or anything. Just share your screen and use one of those controllers to swop the presentation. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice click bat. ProPresenter and PlayLister are not used for the same purpose. They are completely different. I don't think they are classified as the same thing or use case. Also that price. We can't compare the two with each other. I do like that you explain how PlayLister can help with children ministry or other small groups. I can see it's use case. Maybe better to change title so that video don't feel like click bat. I was thinking there was a new tool to replace propresenter

Bless you sir. You introduced a good product but definitely not near pro presenter capabilities. If you are reading this. Do your research well before changing.

LOL it's not about it being able to do all that pro does, but for our specific application in kids ministry this is a better fit.

Also you aren’t stopping using pro presenter because this new app doesn’t look is for the same purpose. To share stuff during sermon you will still use pro presenter. If I listen well, you are sharing a full screen presentation. I don’t use pro presenter, I’ve been playing with it and I know you can do more than what this app do. You can save some money from your church not having how many subscriptions? One per Apple TV? Sorry brother that's not being a good steward of money.

He is just saying that they are moving from using PP in their children's and youth ministry. ProPresenter is not an ideal solution for that because you do have to have a computer to run it and presentations set up. PP is a great tool and something that you can tell users develop instead of software people putting out a good idea.

@@pkt1213I get your point but definitely his didn’t come across as said. Pro presenter is way far beyond competition and comparison on this. And on the subscription part is bye ✌🏾
