    Thank you very much for this. Really enjoyed it. I'm starting to improve our church cameras as well. I believe I'll be using the m43rds system as well. I currently have the g85 with the 45 to 150mm lens, but it isn't fast enough for our lighting conditions. I'm not a fan of shooting at 6400 iso. So I'm waiting to purchase the Canon 70-200mm with a speed booster to adapt to it.

    Your older video like this was one of the gems I relied on when getting our church setup for live streaming a year ago, and this followup is also excellent. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We went with Canon camcorder style cameras basical so we would have parfocal lenses to give our tripod cameras some movement, but the image coming out of the camera just isn't where I wish it was. Just got our own GVM slider 2 weeks ago to put on the drums and its awesome! Also I also highly recommend the Eartec Ultralites as well.

    As someone trying to get our church service stream to the next level, I really appreciate the detail you have provided. What I'm struggling with right now is getting some smooth pulls and pushes into our shots. I'm running Canon EOS R's (got 4). Everything is manual zoom. I'm switching on a BM ATEM Pro. Our shots look pretty good but we have no interesting movement. My setup is 3 cameras to the rear of the room, one to the left that I use to hop around to different subjects, a center shot that I keep on lead singer and a wide. I have one more camera that is on stage to the right that I use to get some profile shots and close ups for keys and guitars. I'm told that going with different camera models is not recommended so I'm struggling to figure out how to get smooth reliable and professional looking zoom movement shot with my current cameras or what kind of camera and setup would I need?

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  Год назад +1

      Hey Shawn, Canon EOS R's will give you great images but smooth zooming is not going to be easy. If you REALLY need smooth slow zooms you are better off going with a camcorder like this amzn.to/42rf4Li paired with a handle remote zoom controller. OR add gears to the lenses and use a zoom/focus system like tilta nucleus or this one amzn.to/3ptvd3V

      Thanks Brandon. I'm a big fan of the Lumix cams that have sensor stabilization like the g85 and gh5. They are great for sliders and handheld as they reduce micro jitters. But for locked off set shots the g7 is great as well! Gh4 allows you to record while outputting over HDMI as the g7 does not. So there are some variables there to consider.

    Good information for sure. We average around 140 or so. I would like to invest in another camera or two for our live stream, but not sure how much leadership would want to spend. We currently have one starter Canon r800 and just started live streaming last year like a lot of churches. Can you confirm that G7 can easily switch HDMI output resolution/framerate just like GH4/GH5 can? Because I got a GH3 hoping it can do the same, but found out it is only outputing through HDMI an interlaced signal at 50fps no matter what shooting resolution/framerate I set. Now I'm looking to get a decimator to bring the framerate to a usable one and am afraid to make the same mistake with G7 in case it does the same. In your original video you mentioned that you are using decimators to bring the framerates to the same standard. In this video you only mention you are using decimators for computers. So, can you confirm that G7 has a changeable HDMi output framerate without a need for decimator. As long as we can get a progressive output at 25 or 30fps we're fine.
