    • @Dargonhuman
      @Dargonhuman 7 лет назад +47

      Not how that works, really. You own all the blacksmiths in *one* city, the Templar have the economies of entire nations under their sway. They can use blacksmiths in other nations to make their weapons, come in and kill you.

    • @danr.5017

      The real trick is to start a guild system. With this you can smash up any non-licensed ( i.e templar) blacksmiths so they absolutely must go though you who will charge up the bung hole.

    • @danr.5017
      @danr.5017 7 лет назад +52

      Then you can build a series of large chains of blacksmithing organizations nationwide. It is in the style of the French aristocracy.
      You can branch out into other related fields and totally ruin the supply chain of any and all Templar organisations. When this eventually becomes a matter of state you will have the wealth to prop up covert assassin heads of state. Create a powerful lobby and throw money at the strongest politicians in your corner.
      This won't just allow your monopolies legally, but actively protect them.
      You could win this war without firing a shot. Granted this road leads exactly to a bizarro assassin version of Abstergo.

    Activating all the stud multipliers at once in the first Lego Star Wars was a *bad* idea. The stud counter at the end of the level that transfers your hard-earned plastic from the level into your total studs collected has a fixed rate... After running through a level with my little brother and collecting a whopping 47.35 billion studs it began the slow process of transferring all that into our total stud count. We left the game running overnight and returned in the morning to find that it had counted down to 47.34 billion studs...
    We then restarted the system because phew... not waiting 13 years for that.

      Sort of. Four members from Lionhead (including some who were in LH since the beginning) founded Media Molecule, while two other key folk from Lionhead (including the Creative Director Gary Carr). Peter Molyneux himself (the founder of the company and its figurehead) actually founded 22Cans. This is very much a similar argument to the Halo "343 Industries is all Bungie employees". Its not. A major person or two jumped ships, but that doesn't make the entire company a successor to the original.
      I wouldn't say that "Lionhead is now Media Molecule", especially not since important folk went to other companies and most of the staff simply "lost their jobs" and weren't taken on enmass by another company.

      Yeah fable went downhill after TLC. fable 2 was good, but not as good as TLC. Fable 3 is just a dumbed down piece of crap with hardly any spells and a broken weapons system. The weapons are randomly placed and not even obtainable on 1 game without trading. There are also severely broken weapons like the icemaiden which can literally kill anything with zero effort. Even boss fights require nothing more than tapping "Y" 2 or 3 times at most.... Everything else gets one shot (Itll even one shot entire groups of enemies) if its anywhere near the shotgun spray of the icemaiden. The only things they improved on was clothing dye and multiplayer. Everything else about fable 3 is garbage compared to 1 and 2.

    I remember testing Yojimbo by paying him 1 gil. I was never disappointed. His attacks were bad ass and you still occasionally got instadeath all for a measly gil. I tried out larger amounts but you get the same attacks. Why pay 10.000 gil to get wooden dog attack when you can get on the cheap. You save money and you can have him attack multiple times until his HP is depleted.

    Fable 3 was relatively easy to complete, it has been at least 2 or 3 years since I last owned the game on PC but I still remember the steps to amass way more than enough money to keep my promises and save each civilian 10 times over. It was a simple and easy process of completing odd jobs at Brightwall Village until I had enough money to buy a stall, go afk for a few hours until I had enough money to buy a house and furnish it to the 10's. I went exploring the area because I knew there were a lot of loot to be obtained and sold, I utilized that money to buy more houses until I owned the entirety of Brightwall Village.
    I went to the next town and done the very same thing, buy a few buildings, go afk for a few hours and wait for the money to pile up until I had enough money to purchase every shop, purchase, furnish and keep every property at 100% upkeep. I wound up owning every single last building in the game, every house was fully furnished with the best equipment, I had made a lot of NPC's incredibly happy and constantly was showered with gifts, I sold everything I didn't find useful or necessary to earn a greater sum of money and rapidly. Before I knew it I had amassed $130,000,000 (more than enough to reach the top of my coffer) and that was before I faced Logan or even bothered considering it.
    Kept Logan alive, protected every civilian, kept all my promises, purchased every single bit of land, had Driftwood built and completed. I had at least $110,000,000 after doing every single good deed and gave up all the money to obtain the mysterious item in the chest which sat at the top of the coffer room. I went afk for 5 hours to see I had at least $2,000,000 and wasted every single last dollar on chicken race bets because I got bored shitless of the game. I wound up slaying every single NPC in every single place.

    You know, after playing Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction and using that disco ball/dance grenade weapon, it came to me - there's an awful lot of dancing that goes on in video games these days. Saints Row 4, Sora and Kairi waltzing about in Kingdom Hearts (and Jack too with Applause Applause), Yuna during FF X-2...how about a list about dance scenes in video games?

    Oh man when I heard the "can I have your autograph?" I was hit with nostalgia. Mainly because me and my sis were too young and had no idea how to pass the level because we could not understand english. We played it again when we got older but we never could finish the game. We were stuck on a seamonster. We should try playing it again now that we are better gamers.

    Octopath Traveler. Tressa the merchant character has a skill that allows her to summon hired help, for a price of course. The multipliers on these attacks are crazy high and outright broken at the start of the game.

    2. Or... you can make pies. That's how I did it. If you make the money before taking the throne, you can be as nice as you want.
    4. This doesn't make you WIN anything... it's just a way to accomplish a completionist run.
    5. Being well-equipped isn't "throwing money at your problems," otherwise you'd have to put every action RPG on this list.
    6. This is a bit of a cop-out, isn't it? You don't "win" a simulation.
    7. That has nothing to do with winning...

    Seems like a good topic for a vid: X times you were better off outsourcing the job. My fav example was a veritable Gunship 2000. Set all difficulty options to max, then start the mission, don't even switch the engine on, and have your wingmen do everything on their own. Then reap medals and honors - the only medal you're not getting for that is the Purple Heart.
