Cleaning the IAC is useless. I found it out when I had my 96 grand marquis. Mines would just randomly shut off after sounding off that loud fan noise. Replaced it with a new one, never had an issue after. Definitely get a motorcraft one or if you had to go aftermarket. Get a napa one!
If y'all can help me I'm a little confused because I thought the base models didn't come with a oil cooler so how come when I'm looking up the part for the interceptor all I'm seeing is the lines for the base LX model? I have a 2002 PI
yup, my '06 has leaking oil cooler lines, as well as the valve cover gaskets.
I have a 2000 and a 2008 Crown Vic. The lines only last about two years unfortunately, one of the biggest flaws of the 4.6
I want to buy that car

I think its time to sell this car now.
Been awhile I always enjoy your crown victoria videos.
Use Ford factory oil cooler lines.
Your video has helped me a lot.thumbs up👍
Great glad I could help
@@silverridgeramblin3066 what year is your car? My 2010 has different oil cooler lines than yours. Mine clamps
I'm at about 93,xxx miles on a 2011 crown victoria p7b with the factory lines and no leaks....yet. And I just jinxed myself saying this.
You can get new lines from Rockauto for about $25. Much easier to do rather than messing with o-rings.
Yup $26 bucks. Swap on oil changes when they leak. Minor annoyance but they don’t last luckily it’s cheap to fix and easy to do.
Great. The lines are only tight for a year.
Only the original Ford lines last longer
