The fact that Chris can just read Rachel’s mind just baffles me. I absolutely adore the dynamic, such an amazing and entertaining team!
The spatula for the bowl move was such a fun thing to see. Actual couple goals!
YES! I want this in my life, too :(
They are bizarrely in sync!!!
I think That’s just how it usually is after years of marriage! At least it is for my husband & I as well!
They're just so sweet together 😭❤❤
Love how Chris sounds like a professional judge and Rachel is entertainment talent! What a team!!!
The A-team
When Rachel says "Why can't we just make a cake at random days, like a Wednesday"
I'm like "Wait, people don't just make cakes when they just want cake...?" Lol
Haha me too. I bake at least once a week... Just because I love baking.. And eating treats obviously
All hours here lol
ellimak try grandma and grandpa griffiths german chocolate cake on here..... i made it 2 days ago and it is the best cake ive tried. Icing is unbelievable. (I didnt use nuts or coconut)
Exactly bro
I use to make cupcakes/cake multiple times a week until I got too lazy to take the time to bake... even then I like picking up a store bought cake or cupcakes whenever. Cake does not need an occasion
I’m with Rachel cake DOES NOT need an occasion
I kind of got lost, on what cake is what, with what frosting.
You could of made a cake in the crockpot.
My favorite is Hershey cocoa cake, no coffee. It never fails, i can make any part of the country.
Trudie L so they did:
The 5 minute recipe (oven)
The 5 minute recipe (microwave like the recipe said)
And their cake recipe
The made 2 types of frosting, the 1 minute one, and the best ever one.
They put both frostings on all the cakes (half and half)
I think she was clear as to which cake was which 🤷🏻♀️
Same!! I love to make cakes just for the fun of it or when I need something sweet for a long weekend or a get together or for just fun!
@@arcticreindeerroleplays3488 i understand that part. The part that i am misding is the taste test
They never showed the cakes they were eating from, it rather went down hill for me from there. No matter
Where did you purchase your Christopher?? I would like one of my own.
Beautiful Hoodlum i would like to know which store too!
I would also like to buy a Rachel as best friend
Omg this comment! 👏🏻💜 😋
Susie Q lol right I need a two pack
I actually laughed out loud... good one
Use cocoa powder instead of flour to “flour” the pan when making chocolate cakes to eliminate the floury coating on your chocolate cakes
Great idea, don’t know why I never thought about that, thank you.
Isnt cocoa powder very bitter?
Kelsey 23 you aren’t using enough to taste it same as with when you use flour.
Top notch advice. I sometimes do add a little flour to mine. Idk what it is but always get like clumps of coco powder in my pan. Perhaps I am using thw wrong cocoa powder.
Rachel Frumkin you can try cake goop release a mixture of flour ,oil and shortening that also does the trick
I love how everyone else called Chris Chris, even we call him Chris, but Rachael consistently calls him Christopher. I mean occasionally she does take Chris but most of the time she says Christopher. It's just funny to me that we use his nickname more then his wife does
I acknowledged that too😂😂, we’re all just a big family🥰
My best friend's name is Thomas, which is what I call him, but every one else calls him Tom. So I understand Rachel calling him Christopher
Yeah I also am the only person calling my fiancé by his full name almost exclusively 😂
I do this with all my work friends. Everyone seems to shorten or have nicknames. Like Mac, Lissa, Nikki, and Chevy. But I call them by their full first name. Malcolm, Melissa, Nicole, and Chris. It's funny because I feel more special using the long name since their nicknames are used by everyone.
It's probably her nickname for him now
Im so jealous of Rachel’s kids because do they EVER not have snacks and baked goods??!?
Me too
@Alyshah Gulamhusein what does that has to do anything with being 25?
Every kid : my mom says cake is for special occasions
Julia: my mom says cake is for everyday
Rachel, have you ever watched Ann Reardon from How to Cook That? She has some fun recipes like sugar bowls that would be fun for you to try 😄
Oh yes I would love to see her try making some of the chocolate recipes. Those are my favorites especially the truffle ones.
Yessssssss she needs to go watch how to cook that!!!
agree!
Yesssss
@@lacytaylor1501 yeah
I'm always here for the Rachel and Chris dynamic. Y'all are the best together.
As a science student I really love and appreciate how Rachel does all these experiments changing different things. It warms my heart 😂
The thing with microwave cakes is that they're essentially steamed, rather than baked, which usually ends up with a more fudgy texture, because more of the moisture is retained. They can be really good, but imo they're always quite different to most baked cakes, unless your baked recipe has a very high liquid and fat content.
I actually steam my cakes in a steamer because I don’t have an oven or microwave and they turn out very moist..
9:20 chris just knew what you needed
11:35 had the coffee ready for you
I’m going to be MAD if I don’t find a man that gets me like this one day🥺
Rachel asks Chris, " You want taste the frosting ?" as Chris is walking out of the room and he turns and says, "Yesss"😂...I love you 2 and can't wait till Sunday to watch.!!!
Saw this exactly at that point!
Rachel is so excited about impending cake that she completely forgot about ice cream as a dessert 😲 that's serious
😂🤣😂🤣
And cinnamon buns!
@@lets.get.intoit. that's breakfast not dessert
@@macey2486 😮😮😮 you're joking right
@@lets.get.intoit. no you eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast duh why do you think they serve cinnamon rolls for breakfast at hotels
I love Rachel so much she shows me that I can cook and everyone makes mistakes I am a 13 years old baker/cook I grew up watching my mom and learning from her and I have always been cooking my biggest issue is probably that when I make a mistake I get stressed because I don’t want to disappoint anyone in my family but my family supports my cooking my grandma got me a cookbook and pans and measuring utensils and I love how she shows me it’s okay to make those mistakes and to learn from them
I love your spirit. I feel like i am in the kitchen with a friend while watching your videosss!!
Christopher's explanation about his chocolate cake recipe had me rolling. I was like how can there be a long version to to "I don't know"?? And then it was so worth it, bahahahahaha
Your channel was recommended idk how long ago but I’m so glad it was!!! You have great style and great personality and overall have a very warm friendly inviting presence about you! Bonus question: where’s your shirt from??
Try more of her recipes and compare them with yours/others, *PLEASE*
“I have lots of cake to eat” “WEEEE have lots of cake” Lol 😂
I totally agree in that cake needs no occasion! Luckily, my birthday is on Tues so I give everyone the excuse to eat cake (if you need one)this week to celebrate with me.
Happy Belated Birthday🥳🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂
@@wolfbloodforevermaleficent Thank you so much!! ^.^
Rachel you need to upload more. Watching your channel feels like chilling with a friend and just messing around. I need more of you friend😁 lots of love from South Africa 🇿🇦❤❤
She has two channels, along with being mother of 3. Probably too much.
Emma channel is amazing and it’s actually really good. I subbed one ingredient and it was the best no lore mug cake
YESS I’M SUBBED TO HER TOO SHE’S AWESOME
I can't believe this is a grown woman, married with kids.. She literally looks like a teenager
nah she looks a little older at least 21..im 21 i look 12
I think she looks like shes in her early 20s
I think she looks like she’s in her early 20’s
Seriously.. she had second baby 4 months ago.. she's already back in shape..
@@radhikapatil1986 it was her third not second
It's always funny to me when people are surprised by the texture of microwaved cakes. I mean you're actually more like boiling or steaming them so of course the texture will be completely different. That's also why it needs special recipes. A microwave heats everything up so much quicker than an oven.
I have been loving your channel!! Thank you for being a positive influence!
I NEED the rest of the best ever chocolate frosting recipe! Thought it would be in the description box, but I don’t see it.
same ! I was hoping to find it there to make it hope she'll share it soon
I looked around and it's the frosting from the extreme chocolate cake recipe, which she baked in her first voiceover challenge video. You can find the recipe here: www.allrecipes.com/video/3771/extreme-chocolate-cake/
I think it might be the one from her voiceover only chocolate cake cooking challenge. Not sure though
@@jaybehkay2438 It is. =)
@@kyalome Thankyou Love , Ur a lifesaver! I was inneed of a frosting asap as well!
The most Canadian moment ever when Chris says it was ABOOT the same amount of time spent gathering and measuring ingredients :D
Does anyone know what kind of work Chris does? He seems like he’d do something precise and analytical like engineering, but I don’t know if Rachel’s ever said what he does.
I believe he's her manager, I'm not sure what he did before
I love how passionate you both are about the flavour notes, crumb and fudge texture scale of chocolate cake. Couple. Goals.
All it took was one video to get me hooked to this channel. Her personality is so cheerful... it's nice to see in a dull world
I love Emma's Goodies, you should try her "pan" cakes and also the 15 min pizza, tried it, worth it
yesss i adore her
Yessss
Yes I made one of her ice-cream recipes and my family said it was fantastic even better than from store! So it must be good
It was so cool to watch your husband in the background baking while your were and the interaction between you to was adorable this episode remind me like one from bon appetit.
When you realize you don't need an actual event to make or buy a cake, your real life begins. ✨
I LOVE the editing!!! also like that Christopher participates a lot more in the videos, you two are so sweet
Honestly I make cake whenever I want to. I don't wait for birthdays and all. I bake my cake and eat it too. 😜
Omg I’m totally one of those people that just bake a cake whenever I feel like eating cake. No occasion needed. In elementary school I would bake box mix cakes all the time whenever I was craving cake and then I’d bring them to school to share with my classmates 😋. I love that you tested this recipe and compared it to other recipes. I wish we had the recipe for Christopher’s Grandma’s cake too so that we could try it with your frosting
Can you make like an online recipe for the best chocolate icing that you said
Not in any particular order:
Cake, cupcake, donuts, fruit pies, custard pies, meringues, puff pastries, tarts, ice cream, jello/puddings, baked puddings, cookies, and so much more.
Bakes puddings? I’m intrigued please explain.
@@Luna-rw5up so things like Banana pudding (jello/pudding mix with vanilla wafers) can be baked with a meringue on top, but a baked "pudding" is traditionally a English dessert where you take bread crumbs and soak them milk before baking them.
Sometimes you get a cake consistency like bread pudding (Martha Stuart has an amazing recipe with Frangelicos Hazelnut liqueur) to a thick sauce (rice pudding).
The flavors can range from sweet (Queen of puddings) to savory (Yorkshire pudding, something I'm working on next week) and you can mix in fruit, egg yolks (custardy), egg whites (meringue-y) and top it with glazes, soak it in sauces or flambé it ("Figgy Pudding"). If it's very moist/saucy and served with a scoop of ice cream (like molten chocolate lava cake which is baked with a liquid chocolate center) there's a good chance that it's a pudding variant.
Even more colloquially, pudding is also British slang for the dessert course during a meal. "Then the waiter came back, clearing away our plates and returning with a bottle of sherry and the pudding."
Just reading this gave me a sugar rush 😂
Hirtis Randolph Thank you!
@Kate McGee ... my one regret in life is not being the biggest fan of brownies. I feel like I have memories of someone giving me overcooked ones...
But you're totally right. Brownies, fudge, and candies should all have been things specifically listed.
Emma's Goodies has lots of great recipes. I think you would have fun trying more of them. It helps with video idea's since Tasty hasn't had a ton of new things out because of the quarantine. At least the stores have more ingredients available now too. I couldn't even find flour for a few weeks at one point and since the pasta isles were pillaged so bad, I couldn't even make fresh pasta.
I've been watching Rachel for over a year now, and I've noticed such a big difference with the way Chris appears in her videos from back then to now. In the past, he was a pretty rare guest and pretty shy, and now he has almost as much screen time as Rachel, which I really love because their dynamic is so adorable. They work so well together and balance each other out, I honestly envy their relationship.
This marriage seems so fun!! Love watching you guys
Rachel: oooh it’s exactly one liter!!
Me: looks around nervously in American
Do you not use liters as a unit of measurement? :)
Shelly Mon Only for our soda/pop/fizzy drinks.
A liter is almost the same as a quart.
Do you measure liquid medicine in milliliters?
Kavinya Mupa Yes, but we don’t think about it. 🤣 When we take liquid meds, they generally come with the little plastic cup.
This is the first ever recipe of Rachel I'm ever trying even though I've been following for ages.
I love when you test things you are really thorough and I appreciate that.
I know this is an "old" video, but I live in Finland and there is one cake that I absolutely love. I can get it from the store and it's frozen. I don't know how but it just is my absolute favorite ♥
"Cake day, any day!"
Here is an idea, make the same cake with different flour mixes.
I love how you and your hubby examine and analyze each cake. VERY THOROUGH!!
He has a very serious look when rachel said its tasting time. 😂
I klicked so fast that james charles couldent even say 'hi sisters'
Edit: omg u guys ib never had this many likes but juat 4 the fun can we get it to 100?
Looooool 😂😂😂

Meh
Rachel, getting distracted 2 seconds in to the video
Me, this is gonna be a good video
I do make cake quite often, actually. I find it to be a very calming baking project any day
I just love watching the interaction between Chris and Rachel, they are truly goals and she is just so happy
My favorite part of the video was 13:40-13:45. 😁 And I watched it at 2x speed. No regrets. Absolutely delightful.
I love that you two cook together it’s so adorable. Couples that cook together stay together. Cookies, muffins, brownies, cake... that’s what I would think is her go to list of favorites. You should come out with your own cooking Utensils and pots and pans I think they would do really well. I know I’d buy them!
Rachel is literally the most down to earth person ever! Love watching her videos!
Love it when she laughs ❤️ I am gonna try the microwave cake coz I am lazy AF and I love chocolate cake.
Emma bakes amazing things. Lmao I'm so happy to see you doing her recipe. I've tried so many of her recipes and each of her recipe is always a success. She is amazing and so are you.❤❤
Binge watching the cooking/baking videos I’ve already watched because they have such a good vibe to them me I just love Rachel 💕
i just love listening to chris talk. his voice is the perfect amount of soothe!! hahah
Pro tip-if your bowl is too small for the sifting. Just hold the sifter over the bowl and tap it with a spoon. It’ll go down in and not over the sides. You could also just stir the ingredients in the sifter and it will sift down in. And maltodextrin might turn melted chocolate into powder very quickly.
This is the chocolate cake I’ve been dreaming of! thank you for how to make this chocolate cake😋😍😍😋😍
The buttercream recipe is the same method that Cupcake Jemma uses! Soooo delicious and changed my icing game!
When I can’t fall asleep I put your videos on they always make me fall asleep
Honestly.. watching you two together.. brings me so much joy and happiness.. my heart actually explodes 💕💕💕💕💕
My fav quote of all "I eat cake because its someone's birthday somewhere"
And its true! 😌
You have made my quarantine so much happier!! Thank you so much. I also really admire your relationship with Chris because i can see you get along really well and love each other. 🤍
nooo the 5 hour cake could be a crockpot cake!! you should try it!
Or probably some slow-cooked ingredient (like caramelized figs or something)
I bet itd be like one of those epicurious chefs cakes. Penny with her smoked butter, bourbon chocolate frosting, chilled batter things u know
Hello Rachel! I would love to try the best chocolate frosting recipe! Please let me know the rest of the measurements. Loved the video, Thank You!
Brownies count as traybakes as do blondies and stuff. Then theirs cakes, pies, biscuits, mousses so may differ types of desserts
Chris is everyone doing zoom calls work on top pajamas on bottom 5:18
That's just dad clothes
I don't know if you're going to see this comment Rachel but a kitchen hack that I have actually always use ever since I seen it is you take a piece of parchment paper put it down and you put your dry ingredients on that so when you have to pour it into the mixing bowl you could just fold it and it lies in look up the half you'll see it it's amazing
As a pastry chef I enjoy watching these videos. Often the commentary is way off, but very entertaining. I love that people are challenging these kitchen hacks and recipes that are often fake and sometimes dangerous.
Ive realized today what kind of influence you have on my life. I got so super excited when I saw the new video notification. Thank you for bringing me a little joy in my darkest hours.
I would love to see Rachel attempt to make a Tres leches cake 🍰 because honestly that is the best kind of cake it’s so moist
Lol how is it that Christopher mentions that the recipes are from his mom's recipe, which is either from his grandmother(in law as well) and then the said grandmas deny rhe EXISTENCE OF IT ALTOGETHER 😂😂😂😂
Nobody:
Me: binge watching rachel videos cause they are sooo fun and wholsome😃💕
I'll say it again.... You two are stinking adorable together!
Baking paper.
If you aren't flipping a cake out of the pan (upside down serve) or cutting it while it's in the pan, you need to use baking paper on the bottom with strips coming up the sides that you can use as handles.
The alternative is putting your cake in the fridge or a chiller until it gets firm enough to handle (this will ultimately make it more dry as it returns to room temperature).
I've been waiting for you to try this channel!!! So excited!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️Thank you!!!!
Rachel is FOR SURE serving up Head of PTA vibes! That effortless ‘fit, that beat face, them earrings, IM LIVING 🤣
As a non cake or frosting fan, that microwave cake may be up my alley as I do like brownies. Excitement all around.
Love when Chris gets involved!!!
Yes she took my advise she's doing an Emma's goodies cake!!! Yess!! Love her
My top 5:
1.Cinnamon buns
2. Cake/cupcakes
3. brownies
4. Cookies
5. Icecream
I’ve watched for years, but these videos in particular have really been keeping me in a good state of mind during quarantine. Thank you ❤️
this channel makes me happy
Chris is soo right a great pastry can't be beat ! BUT I think u think you like cake more than other desserts is because when u do have it its like a birthday 🎂 or like special occasion so u associate cake with happy times WHICH adds to the pleasure of eating cake 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 loveeeee when you and Chris both are in your vids i love seeing your guys relationship best couple award to you both honeslty uses make me so happy ❤🥰
To try really good pastry, go to Paris, in famous pastry shops. Like Yann Couvreur, Pierre Hermé, Cédric Grolet, Christophe Michalak. You will fall in love with pastries! 😍
As a German, today I realized cake is only eaten for special occasions in the rest of the world.
... That explains why, when I brought a cake for predrinks to a party in the Netherlands, no one tried it :(
You can bring a cake to any occasion in Italy as well and we will eat it with pleasure! Or maybe that's just me ahah but I've never had any complaints, so 🤷🏻♀️
Thats weird 😂 i am from the Netherlands and I would eat it when ever i can get the chance. But yes mostly on special occasions or on sundays/weekends.
@@Mirjen97 Well, clearly I have the wrong friends then! 😤😄
I love how Christopher do little things for Rachel... I want one
Yes! Cake is not always occasional!
Yum 🤤
Love your hair like this stunning.. Also sifting introduces air into the cake
I agree with your take on the 5 min. My boys made it a few weeks ago and it's good the same day. Great with ice cream. But It stiffens up 24 hrs later. You need to reheat and let the I ce cream melt some to eat it or lots of milk.
Soooo goooodd this recipe in the microwave!! With the icing..so greeeaat!!
Too cute!! Micro cake sounds appealing to me. I love thick gooey brownies.
Just thought of the idea of Julia looking back on these videos 15 years from now trying to recreate her favorite dishes her parents made💕😭
"Good bye cakes! Be delicious" with the same love and encouragement you send your kids off to school with 🤣🤣😂😂 ❤️ this girl!!
Question.. after having so much cake n desserts, how do this beautiful couple stay healthy as well as thin. I mean HOW????
Simple, be active, eat the cake( and other food) in moderation
Probably genes: all the family members I have seen are thin. Weight may vary a bit due to behavior, but genes are the main reason
