I've been making so much brigadeiro. If you don't know (poor you) brigadeiro is a classic brazilian desert 🇧🇷 It takes 3 ingredients: 1 can condensed milk, 4 tbs of powdered chocolate and 1 tbs of butter. You cook it in low heat until what we brazilians call "ponto de brigadeiro" (you scrape the bottom of the pan, if the brigadeiro takes a while to fill the gap, it's ready). Some people like to wait for it to cool down to roll little balls and cover them in sprinkles, but you can eat it with a spoon as well. Do yourself a favor and try it out I don't even know why I just wrote this My brigadeiro intake has gone 200% up since quarentine started Stay safe :)
also very good with no chocolate but coconut. Or with coconut condensed milk (just cook it sith sugar, so the liquid evaporates). I want to go and make it right now but it's 2am
It's so good! Classic "white" brigadeiro is amazing too (just don't add cocoa) and I recently tried some "maracujá" brigadeiros with my grandma, a m a z i n g 🥺
Channels like yours, and just listening to the warm, funny, familiar way you speak to your viewers, has done so much for the anxiety and isolation I've felt since quarantine started.

I dislike garlic with passion. I think it tastes like really dirty, sweaty wool socks filled with rusty nails, and the smell... urgh! BUT one of my all time favorite dishes has some garlic in it. It turns out that most people do something with the garlic that makes it taste and smell awful. When you add just a little, in the correct way, it's actually edible, but when most people don't know how to do that, I won't eat anything with garlic in. Or take walnuts. I thought I hated walnuts, and it turns out that I hadn't ever eaten fresh walnuts. Or olive oil. Old walnuts and olive oil taste awful. Fresh ones are delicious. Or take apricots. Nasty things. Sacher torte is a glorious example on how to make chocolate inedible. Apricots are too bitter for chocolate. But put apricots together with Finnish leipäjuusto, and it's perfect. And so on and so forth. When you fry mayo, it becomes something different than your usual glob of grease that most people put in sandwiches.
mayo alone is disgusting especially home made mayo its terrible but mayo on sandwiches is honestly a must! I do find that cheese spreads are a good substitute or you can make ur own vegan mauo by blending some mashed potato, garlic, oil and lemon or vinegar

guys I love your voices so much, I finally have to comment on it :) for years I was watching you Rachel whenever I needed a pick-me-up (is that how you write it? English is not my 1st language and sometimes I have no idea) because your voice always sounds so upbeat, excited and happy. And Chris has this amazing radio voice :o seriously, you're a perfect match :) love listening to you both
Wow! I had to replay the part when Chris said "Millers Meat Winnipeg" because I thought I misheard what he said - but yes!! I am from Winnipeg so hello & Millers Meats is truly amazing!
You post these videos every single time I wash my hair and need something to watch while brushing my hair (long, curly hair, it takes a long time) 😆 perfect timing, Rachel, perfect timing 💕
It's already 10th of May in my country that's why The Mother's Day has started too! Happy Mother's day to you Rachel and all the mothers watching the video 💜
I heard your little one saying “Hi.” 💕 “Hello Sweetheart.” 💕💙 We as viewers should strive to be as loving and supportive of each other as you and Christopher are. Truly a remarkable channel.
So its 2022 and I live in Florida.... Hahahahaha i miss quarintine. Even though we really didnt participate, a lot of people here did, and there was no traffic, businesses was open... Life kept going for us. But with a ton less traffic and uber cheap gas.... I miss $1.53 a gallon for gas in Florida. My sis in small town Michigan got gas for $0.73 a gallon.... I so miss it... 😥 But I do love to see how well Rachel and Chris work together. It warms my heart to see a young couple love each other. They dont appear to be faking or acting. They appear to honestly be a true couple. And I wish them a life time of happiness.
I was listening to the movie and doing something else by the way, so you said "Kiełbasa" was so shocking that I told my boy "there was a Polish word!" I am from Poland, so i smile since then :D
Omg! I’ve always loved these testing videos that you do and I finally went to check out the channel bon appetit! And all I’ve been doing this Sunday morning is binging the channel having snacks! I’m so happy right now! Thank you! Loved this video, I’m also team tuna melt ❤️
OMG Miller's Meats Winnipeg! That is right near my house! I must live close to Chris' grandparents haha. That shout out made me go, no way! Shout out to The Peg!
I have been a long time fan of bon appetit's RUclips and I love that there are people that love it as much as me! My coworker and I talk about them like they are friends. "Did you hear what Brad said to Claire? That guy!" 😂
Makes me happy whenever you mention Winnipeg. Next time you’re in Winnipeg, get some garlic sausage from Karpaty Meats. They make my favorite garlic sausage and pepperoni 😊
We need a video of the best recipes you have ever done! Like the best cookies, cake, pie... you can make a series, like the best baked goods, desserts, snacks... I would love to see the one you like the most and than do it myself!
My family eats at different times because... It's quarantine. I eat a lot of cereal and tend to look in the fridge for entertainment😁 I love food! Your great Rachel!!!
Your cooking videos help me keep my sanity during quarantine. Literally been refreshing my page every day to see if there are new uploads from these videos. Love them!!
BROWNIES!!! The BEST Fudgy brownies EVER they’re extremely sweet BUT I counter that with unsweetened vanilla cream cheese (not sure if they actually sell unsweetened vanilla cream cheese like anywhere i literally just soften some cream cheese and add vanilla to it) it’s BEAUTIFUL the tart vanilla cream cheese perfectly brings the sweetness down while adding a beautiful creaminess that as we all know goes so beautifully with brownies
The best grilled cheese I ever had, had a mixture of cheeses like Cheddar, Monterey, American, Muenster, Provolone, and Mozzarella, and... Blue Cheese! Being a person that isn’t a huge fan of blue cheese, it’s amazing how those bites were my favorite. That slight pungent and salty crumble in amongst the other smooth, melted cheeses... it was amazing! As for what have I been making, breakfast sandwiches on English muffins! Can never go wrong with Breakfast!
Yep I did sourdough bread grilled with provolone cheese, jalapeño strawberry jam mixed with a few more jalapeños, bacon and ham and avocado. It was fantastic, total hit!
Since you love spinach so much, may I suggest spinach chips. Toss spinach with a small amount of olive oil, garlic and salt and pepper and toss it in the oven around 400 for 10-20 minutes. They get dried out and crispy and melt in your mouth delicious. It’s a nice way to change it up. Mm
i have made my cheese sandwich with cheese pickled jalapenos, tomatoes and frided it since i was a kid. didn't know it was a chefs recipe. but yours looked really delicious
I made a few crunchy peanut butter and apricot jam toasted sandwiches recently. It can be a bit dry if you dont get the right jam/pb ratio (needs a good amount of jam).
Prosciutto, soft Brie, arugula, with mayo and stone ground mustard is my jam right now. I put them on sourdough or like a French baguette either grilled or under the broiler.... SO GOOD
My favorite grilled cheese is a jalapeno popper grilled cheese. Diced jalepenos, mixed with cream cheese. Spread it on your bread of choice, the cover that mix with sharp cheddar. Its so good
Sandwiches for me are a luxury. I have gluten allergy and gluten free bread is quite expensive... So I rarely buy it. But my favorite is the classic: ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, tons of pickles, a lot of mustard and mayo, with a glass of cold chocolate milk. (I'm 32 btw)
I perfected a tuna melt during quarantine as well! Canned tuna mixed with mayo, red pepper and green onion, with a slice of Havarti cheese. I fry mine though, I don't bake them in the oven.
I've been making a lot of sheet pan dinners: frozen chicken tenderloins with lemon pepper seasoning, chopped carrots and potatoes all thrown on the sheet together and cooked. Also lots of frozen pizzas.
One sandwich we have been eating lately is egg in a hole. The other sandwich we love is something we call a tug boat sandwich and it is two pieces of toasted bread, two pieces of bacon, a fried egg cooked in bacon grease with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Then to assemble butter and add jelly to one piece of bread put the egg on the other piece. Then break the bacon in half, put it on the egg and top with the jellied bread.
omg these sandwich recipes are what i need! i can do most of them besides the sausage one....i dont have cured sausages only the raw kind which might be too much lol....but the tuna melt and the egg/bacon sandwich YES
Hmm I like to make simple things. Around 200g meat (chicken, pork, whatever you have) 250mil Rice (yes I messure my rice in Volume) And some Potato I start off with cooking the rice, 2 time the volume of Rice in water and a spoonful of salt. Then I remove the potato skin cut them up and cook them too in salt water. Cut up the meat, use salt pepper and what ever spice you want with it, cook that in a pan. Make sure you have some fond on the bottom. I use 250mil of cream to make the sauce and add soup bouillon for great flavour. Use some thickener to finish the sauce. Put all together and done.
Rachel you neeeeed to try this recipe! I think it was a tasty tiktoc it's literally like a gooey chocolate filled donut so delicious all you need is 👉🏻 a glass cup (or cookie cutter), two slices of bread, butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutella! Put a dollop of nutella in the middle on one slice of the bread put the second one on top to make a sandwich the cut out a circle of the middle (make sure it seals itself) pop in the toaster when it's toasting melt the butter and chuck in the sugar and cinnamon on a pan toast is ready now then whack it straight in the pan and cover both sides with the butter sugar cinnamon concoction and you're done! It's sooo good!! 🤤
As for a more fun thing, I actually dug out the old recipe and made scrapple ❤️ It’s a good hard times recipe that consists of cornmeal, any pork you can get (my family traditionally uses pork neck bones and other pork scraps, but if you have some pork loin or something you can use that) and broth made by simmering the pork until it’s incredibly tender. Once the pork cooks you break it down, removing any bones, and measure how much broth you have since you’ll need that info later. You’ll reserve about 1 or 2 cups of the broth - I recommend sticking it in the fridge or something for a bit, but bring the rest to a boil with the pork. Measure out your cornmeal to about a 1:2 ratio of the total amount of broth you have (ie: 10 cups broth to 5 cups meal) and stir it into the reserved, chilled broth until everything is thoroughly combined, before adding it all to the boiling broth. Stir constantly until the cornmeal fully cooks, so like 7 minutes. You take the resulting paste, pour it into lined loaf pans, let them cool and then cover and stick them in the fridge. You’ll cut it into thin slices and fry them over medium heat ^^ Since I live by myself and can’t really see my family, it was a nice way to get a small taste of home.
many Germans actually hate Sauerkraut. But it also makes a huge difference whether you buy it in a bag at the supermarket (pretty bad) or from the butcher (amazing)
I'm Bulgarian and I actually don't like half of our country's cuisine Also I write and I have a French character who hates blue cheese and a German Jewish character who despises sauerkraut with a passion 😂
I had found a Thai Chicken Meatball recepie, I believe it was actually Laura in the Kitchen's recepie, but instead of ground chicken and making the meat balls, lately I've just been cutting up chicken breast, seasoning it with a thai spice blend, then frying up onions and garlic in some red curry paste and fish sauce, then add meat, once things are all cooked, add a can of coconut milk and let it bubble for a bit. Boom. Easy and delicious Thai Chicken Curry. Serve with rice and don't forget the lime.
Honestly I've been testing out what to do with my left over pot roast and I'm absolutely in love with this one! Literally all you need is a cup of left over pot roast of course if you have a bigger family definitely double the recipe 1 cup cooked spiral pasta 1/2 cup onion 1tsp olive oil 1tsp butter 1rsp pepper 1/2 cup chopped tomato 1/2cup grated parmesan cheese in the skillet saute onion in oil and butter till tender and pot roast and pepper till heated through and in pasta tomato and cheese till cheese melts enjoy!!
YES mushroom soup on pasta. My favorite is Mac and cheese with mushroom soup instead of milk and mix in tuna. Takes me back to my childhood every time.
Naan bread pizza is amazing! I use raos marinara, mozzarella, feta, bacon, Italian seasonings and garlic powder and put it in an oven preheated to 450 for the 10-13 minutes
"How much mayo is in this?" "Zero!" "Exactly!"

Around 200g meat (chicken, pork, whatever you have)
250mil Rice (yes I messure my rice in Volume)
And some Potato
I start off with cooking the rice, 2 time the volume of Rice in water and a spoonful of salt.
Yay! Happy Saturday!
You’ll cut it into thin slices and fry them over medium heat ^^
Since I live by myself and can’t really see my family, it was a nice way to get a small taste of home.
I absolutely love watching your videos.
I’ve been making BA’s Best English muffins every weekend! I’m obsessed!
My fiancè was born and raised in Germany and hates sauerkraut. I think they kicked him out because of it.
many Germans actually hate Sauerkraut. But it also makes a huge difference whether you buy it in a bag at the supermarket (pretty bad) or from the butcher (amazing)
Its also a matter of where in Germany you come from, in the North its not that much of a thing :)
I'm Bulgarian and I actually don't like half of our country's cuisine
Also I write and I have a French character who hates blue cheese and a German Jewish character who despises sauerkraut with a passion 😂
I want Rachel to rank all sandwiches. I need to know the king of all sandwiches.
Ham and cheese sliders:)
She would say tuna melt
Can Chris make a cooking channel? It would be the most chill and shadiest thing ever
I love making my tuna with some lemon juice, salt and pepper, sundried tomatoes and basil and I eat it with veggie chips. Soo good
I had found a Thai Chicken Meatball recepie, I believe it was actually Laura in the Kitchen's recepie, but instead of ground chicken and making the meat balls, lately I've just been cutting up chicken breast, seasoning it with a thai spice blend, then frying up onions and garlic in some red curry paste and fish sauce, then add meat, once things are all cooked, add a can of coconut milk and let it bubble for a bit.
Mouth literally watering watching this I LOVE anything with an enjoyable amount of spice
Naan bread pizza is amazing! I use raos marinara, mozzarella, feta, bacon, Italian seasonings and garlic powder and put it in an oven preheated to 450 for the 10-13 minutes
