I just think of SortedFood and that episode when one of the normals (the team is made up of two chefs and three normal people) did not temper his chocolate while the other two kept ribbing him for it.

You can do the bombs with kinder eggs! Just spilt them along the seam and put the marshmallows and powder in, then reseal them. Less mess, less effort, smaller (so less artery busting!) and easier to get the kids involved with too! Hope this helps everyone out this Christmas!

Girl!!! You need to re-make the chocolate bombs in another video! Chocolate chips weren't really meant to melt and dissolve, they are meant to hold their shape with baking-hence why they still remain in their form for the most part in chocolate chip cookies! You need to do this again and try using tempered baking chocolate instead! Merckens would be a good idea and you can get it at Bulk Barn 😊
The lid idea is really cute but it would be adorable if it was in the shape of a beanie... which I know would be really hard but soooooo cute
Pour several cups of hot milk over the chocolate bomb in a pitcher, mix well, then pour into espresso cups! That way the chocolate is more diluted and you are drinking a smaller amount. Make the cookie lids to fit the smaller cups as well. I might just have to do this over the Christmas break!❤

Also if you are someone with food issues that effect neurological symptoms and you find something that is quick and easy that works... you do it. No questions. If a quick quesadilla keeps my body happy and episode free I’m gonna choose the quick quesadilla.
You can get little toast bags that are meant to go in the toaster on amazon, if you’re worried about getting cheese in the toaster.

@@juliab1407 It’s weird because my mother’s family is German (her grandparents were from Germany but moved to the US) and they always opened presents from family and stuff on Christmas Eve and we usually had the family celebration Christmas Eve. Presents from Santa came Christmas morning. As I grew up, I opened everything Christmas Eve because obviously I no longer believed in Santa. Lol. Now I wonder if the Christmas Eve thing was from the German tradition!

we celebrate and open our presents on christmas eve
What we usually did was celebrate on 24th with just my parents and siblings
on 25th we went to celebrate with my grandma and relatives on one side of the family and on 26th with my relatives on the other side of the family
But the last few years since all my grandparents died and all my cousins grew up we just celebrate with some uncles on 24th
(+ usually the teenagers/young adults (starting with 16yo to 18yo) go to a party or club with some friends after they celebrated with their family)

I personally feel like you could fill the silicone mold coat them and dumped out the excess. I feel like would have been less of a hassle and you would have extra for decorating. You can melt a large quantity of chocolate chips in the microwave and add not melted to chips to that and voila you have "tempered" chocolate( they won't melt that way). That is a pro tip for you friend.

@@janani1826 that's because there's a very fine temperature line for it to work, so if you don't use a thermometer with it it's almost impossible to temper it that way.

I made hot chocolate bombs for the first time yesterday and the chocolate needs to be really cold when you pop it out or else it breaks so i recommend taking them all out of the molds and then filling them with goodies :) also if you don't want to buy new stuff you can use silicon cupcake molds! it also helps to use really hot milk to fully dissolve the chocolate. hope this helps someone!
Now I'm hungry for peppermint and chocolate. 🤦 While I was raising my daughter I started a tradition that every Christmas Eve she opened one gift. They’re so good if you make them I would recommend putting your molds in the freezer first before you put the chocolate in them it helps the chocolate not slide down

@@jacquelinegill5213 it depends on how sweet you like your hot chocolate. I like to semi sweet chocolate because the hot chocolate mix is already pretty sweet so the tiny bit of bitterness in the semisweet chocolate helps it not be as sweet.
The Hershey’s peppermint kisses are also so good as the shell but it makes the hot chocolate kinda sweet lol

The spoons burned only on the first layer because it was in the oven longest. Overfill the mold before you cook it. You can stretch the mold to pack the candy in, when it melts the mold will return to it's original shape.

I think the hot cocoa balls would be would be better in an oversized mug. 1/4 cup of milk and cocoa ball, pour hot water over the ball until it bursts, THEN use a milk frother to further disolve the outer shell and cocoa powder. Super chocolate! I personally use Fairlife chocolate milk when making my cup of cocoa with marshmallows and the whole can of coconut ready whip. ❤️❤️❤️

Peppermint candy spoons can be bought at stores as well, I'm also questioning why the chocolate bomb recipe recommended chocolate chips, chocolate chips have a ingredient in them that stops them from losing shape when heated, and also stops them from solidifying if they are melted. Normally hot chocolate is made with mixing a melted chocolate bar with boiling milk, while hot cocoa is made with boiling water and cocoa powder
For the hot chocolate bombs, tempering the chocolate will reduce melting in the hand. Tempering chocolate help stabilize the chocolate and make the time it can be handled longer. Edit: ty Christopher for backing me up!

Crushed up candy cane. Melt them, dip stuff, sprinkle on vanilla ice cream.... man, so good!
One year I made suckers with mini candy canes. You melt them a little and then put them upside down, crook to crook to make a heart. Smooth them together and on a sucker stick, fill it with white chocolate and sprinkles. They are SOOO cute and delicious. 🥰
I been making these for a few years. Candy cane, put a big marshmallow on the straight in. Melt i call it chocolate coating, dip the marshmallows, to cover. Let extra drip off. Can double dip. dip in your choice, of sprinkles or plain. Meringue are my favorite cookies. Can add nuts sometimes i add a small box of jello..
Heat milk, add a candy cane, stir.

There is a cookie that my grandmother taught me to make when I was little, and I have to make them every year now. Look up Forgotten Cookies. They are essentially a bite-sized meringue cookie filled with mini chocolate chips and chopped pecans. They are called forgotten cookies because you put them in a preheated oven but immediately turn the oven off and forget about them overnight.

Hey Rachel! Next time try candy melts or make Chris temper the chocolate. Then, paint it on with a bristled pastry brush, so you get an even coat. Let them set up a little then do a second coat of melted chocolate, that way you’ll have a double layer and less chance of cracking. Happy Holidays to you & your family 💕
