Yes mouse cursor is a function of both position and velocity(derivative) plus it remembers the last position (integration). I found it hard way and abandoned the tablet thinking there's no solution. Now that it showed the settings for pen mode which is pure position to position, it has been an eye opener.

Nice. Thanks for the idea. Actually tried this last night, for my students, trying something new. I only used my mouse, powerpoint for screen recording and paint. I liked using paint, its simple, it has the brushes that i like for a math tutorial, it has so many colors, it has adjustable size. Powerpoint screen recording was fine to me, it can record audio, and the whole screen. You can also choose what portion to be screen recorded. My weakness is the mouse. Damn, that was so frustrating to me. I want to write properly some equations but because i was using a mouse, i hit ctrl+z almost a million times. The Wacom Bamboo you recommended is not available in my country and i can only afford the Wacom CTL 472/K0-C. I’ve read reviews of our online shop here and it has great reviews but I’m still in doubt. I would like to hear from you if that setup would work? The Paint-Powerpoint-Wacom CTL 472? BTW, im using paint because I’ve screenshot a equations from a pdf file, and i just copy paste it and record from there, so I don’t have to write a lot of things and use that time explaining more. 😊 hope you would help me.
can you write in paint with a pen? I find it hard and spelling looks slopy on whiteboards I can never find a way to write as a write on a piece of paper. Thank you!
Dr. Mohamed Ait Nouh yes you can. You just need to practice more on a tablet you will be using. My penmanship in a paper is not good so i expect my penmanship in the tablet would be worst but it was the other way around it seems to be ok in the tablet.

I hear ya. The things I like about Camtasia are its superior window snapping and resizing, and its amazing zoom-in-out feature in the editor. I don't know why it's such a pain to create zooms in Premiere, for instance. I shouldn't have to create keyframes and ease, Camtasia is so much easier. I've been trying OBS recently though, we'll see how it goes.

You can record with a smartphone what you write on paper, and share that video; That is how I do it nowadays.

It's 2020 and we still have to use a separate screen recorder for the recording because there's no whiteboard app out there that can record a session.

We do have whiteboard apps but you need to pay $50 a month

YOu can use directly open board, which is free, recordable and userfriendly.

Couldn't use a mouse instead of a digital pen if you have a desktop?
Yeah, it's just really tricky to draw smoothly using a mouse. But you can try it.
