I came for watching a pen tablet review but you gave so much more than I expected. Thank you making a video about online teaching clearly as step by step literally
I do this. The Wacom Intuos tablet is totally essential to my remote synchronous and online teaching process. I teach math and must show students the entire process of solving a math problem in real time. What better way than with a tablet. I am a true believer!!!!
@@Breewilly I think you should go to the career counselor at your high school or to the education advisor at your college or university and ask them to help you plan your classes for a math education major. Good luck.

OBS + Epic Pen + Spacedesk on Windows + iPad Pro (Spacedesk) works really well Epic Pen is really basic and you don't get lost in the tool options. Spacedesk is free for Windows and iPad OBS is also free and will give you better video and audio IMO Thanks for sharing your options though
Yes, I mention OBS (at 5:33) but the problem is you cannot edit video with OBS, you still need another tool to edit your recording to remove any mistakes or add titles/music. Camtasia/ScreenFlow/Screencast-O-Matic can do both; record your screen and edit video.
Great video, thank you! What is the simplest set up for writing where you actually write on the screen / ie not separate from screen display? and how to mirror from drawing tablet to the PC?
Did you try writing on pdf files? Which ipad or samsung tablet or serface have better pen quality in pdf writing? Has pen pressure sensitive on all writing apps? I tried samsung note pro tablet that just has pressure sensitive enable in it's Samsung snote app and write on pdf app but i don't like quality of text of pdf and text of pen when i write on pdf pages. It's some blurry especially when i zoom in pdf . Did samsung new tablets fix this issue? Did ipads pro have this blurry issue when zooming or ipads have clear and diffrent operation? And did ipads can record handwriting like samsung snot ?
Dear sir, Really a nice explanation , i was searching for the kind of pen tablet and different software use for recording and editing the video. Everything covered under one roof. Thanks :)
Great presentation 👍👍👍👍👍 I’ve been a follower of so many RUclips channels that failed because they neglected to plan what they where going to say and never practiced their presentation…. Annoying, annoying, annoying

Thank you this is very good! I bought a relatively cheap tablet as I’m on a budget (an XP pen) and so far so good. I’m still messing with different whiteboards... I’m used to smart notebook but it doesn’t seem to have the maths tools now. I will experiment with Adobe. Do you know if you can export to PDF and also upload PDFs too as I need to demonstrate exam papers in my classes. Many thanks!

Hey Grumo!! wonderful video....Do you have any suggestions for set up which is between these two. e.g. having some other tablet with pen than buying apple which is on the higher side.
Hello I'm really pleased with this video. Absolutely amazing and answers alot of questions I had. What's best is how you actually introduced me to more greater and innovative ways to teach. I was wondering however if there is set up you have to use Google class room with an android s7 plus tablet? I notice also this is good for pre-recorded lessons but is there a way to do this live and I can take questions and show my students what im writing on Samsung notes?
If you have graphics tablet, even a cheap one (I have a Gaomon €40 tablet, which is plenty good enough for my purposes), you can use it to write, sketch, etc., in whatever application you like while sharing the application window (or your whole screen) with your students. I typically share my Word window (you can use Word as a whiteboard because in addition to typing you can also sketch using the Draw menu, add shapes, etc.) or I share whatever coursebook or other PDF files we are using in Drawboard, which is a fantastic, free app for annotating PDFs, available in the Microsoft Store. All of this is referred to a graphics tablet connected to a Windows computer. Not sure how you would do it on an Android tablet.
Yes. You can also do that in the latest versions of Mac OS. But you still need to use additional video editing software if you want to edit out any mistakes.
Great video, very clear and organized! About the tablets, what is your opinion on the smaller ones? For example, I see some relatively affordable tablets that are only 4'' x 6''. Is it feasible to teach on this much writing space in a tablet?
Thank you so much for this nice tutorial. What would be the best ways to teach live with this set-up ? (this is especially relevant at the time of this COVID issue). Again thanks
To teach live you can use Zoom or Google Meet. Both allow you to share your screen so your students will be able to see anything you draw with your tablet. Zoom also comes with its own whiteboarding app so you don't even need to use another tool to draw!
Great video! Which Wacom Intuos tablet size do you suggest? Small or medium? Medium looks really big and not sure if I need lot of space, but I'm scared that small will be too small.
I am a Math teacher trying to record math videos. I installed the Adobe Sketchbook but am having some trouble with the set up of the canvas. How can I contact you?
I’ve never used those devices so I cannot advice. You’d need to have a software that allows you to record your screen the same way I explain in this tutorial.
Is the apple pen and apple iPad combo the best for ease do writing smoothly and less lag compared to the other options? I have an older Wacom tablet and I find it hard to write smoothly even with a stylist, but I think it's mostly because I have to look up at the screen and back to the tablet.
The least lag is with a Wacom tablet connected directly via USB to your computer. All the wireless tablets have a slight lag. Comparing Samsung vs the iPad, the iPads are more responsive and also have less lag.
