Marissa. I love your videos. But I sit and wait while watching each one to see how long it takes you to say the word "season" and today it was 48 seconds! LOL It's your word I guess. :-) Great video. Boring goals are great, I agree!
Our money goals for 2025 are boring as well, and I'm so happy to just enjoy things as is rather than working so hard toward making something happen as fast as possible! Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
@2:21 "triple tax advantaged" That's actually..... not boring! For 2025 simple goals here also, one of those is a repeat of 2024 with respect to my 401K. This year maxed out on contributions at the +50 provision, all of that except 4% is going in as ROTH so no taxes on that in retirement.
Hi Marissa - I still hear people talking about moving in the next year or so. Would you consider doing a video about your experience so far having made a big move, both the day to day lifestyle and the financial benefits or tradeoffs you have noticed? Best wishes to you and your family in the New Year!
I am looking forward to the same milestone of stopping breastfeeding when my little on turns one! Only a few more months. Best of luck with your family goals in 2025!!
My 2 year old is a tall guy he's in size 4t and he barely fits the stroller. When we tell the park members he's 2 they give us a doubtful look lol. Taking then to holiday lights tonight and his entrance is free. Getting ready for the funny looks lol. We want to refi too because we just bought at 6.3%
Marissa: You understand that Mortgage rates are connected to US Treasury Bonds. It is when the US Treasury Bonds goes down is when mortgage rates goes down. I don't have a crystal ball, but it will be interesting to see where interest rates go this year.
We just went on our “big” 10 year anniversary last week and our anniversary is in March lol. We just went on a 1 night getaway on our actual anniversary.
We are moving in January and we’re leaving our 2.6% interest rate but we know our new mortgage payment fits into our budget even though it’s more than doubling 😅 so we feel your pain. I was happy to lock in a 6.375 because I assumed we’d be closer to 7%. Otherwise our main goal is to bulk up our emergency fund to reflect our new mortgage payment and max out our Roth IRAs.
You should definitely talk to someone about a refinance! My brother bought after you and refinanced a couple months ago and brought down his rate and payment significantly! also what Disney hotel are you staying at??
Curious if you paid extra while your mortgage was at the lower interest rate or just paid the minimum? I know we want to move someday, but leaving this low interest rate is going to be hard.
We contribute a set amount to each of their 529s each month! I know it won’t fully cover college, but it will cover a good chunk hopefully! Our goal is to be intentional and keep contributing!
2025 money goals. Hmm🤔🤔 max out my Roth 401k and Roth IRA. Make $1,000 to $2,000 a week selling options in my Roth IRA and my brokerage account. I think that's it. 🎉🎉🎉💰💰💰💰💰

I used to work at a church and “season” was said very frequently. 😂 it’s a habit. Lol
I love your videos Marissa, you make me smile knowing you and your family are doing so well. Looking forward to your 2025 progress 😊

I say dream big for you two and your anniversary trip. Ten years is a big deal! You are a Mom every day and you deserve it. ❤

👋 from a mom on the opposite side of the spectrum. The only thing that gives him away is his talking 😂
@footferrie lol! We definitely did that with our little girl who is petite!

Yes! Which is why even though the Fed has started lowering rates, mortgage rates haven’t really dropped yet. We’ll see how 2025 goes!

So 6000 is a high deductible medical insurance? I don't know how much is considered "high deductible "

What plans do you have for the college savings??

@TheBudgetingWife Do you have a certain company you go through that you recommend? Is there a max you can contribute to it annually?
First comment! 🎉🎉🎉
Wow amazing goals and achievements. Are you also contributing to a 401k?
Yes! We contribute to my husband’s 401k as part of our 20% goal. 😊
@@TheBudgetingWifeI watched it again and saw that you mentioned it 🤦♀️ Good job!
Can I ask your age? Great videos!!!!!
I’m 30. 😊

You were cooler when you were in debt. Mind doing us a favor and going back into debt?
Well we do have a mortgage…. But debt was not cool for us.
