Just wanted to say thank you for so many kind comments! ♥
Not gonna lie - I was quite nervous to stream and upload this as I am still quite new to the Sonic franchise, and I know how many passionate fans are out there so I felt a bit of pressure.
I had a blast, and I'm glad I got to chat with my mate Scott for the banter and sharing in the excitement of experiencing the game with me!
I hope those who are a bit new to the franchise (like me) enjoy this vid and might be encouraged to try the game themselves. 😊
Not too bad for someone who isn't as familiar with the recent stuff. Great showcase
I enjoy seeing newcomers play Sonic. It reminds me how much thought and creativity is put into designing a level.
The developers are essentially communicating via subtle audio and visual cues how to play their game, and it’s up to the player to get creative and experiment with the mechanics in order to meet and potentially even surpass the expectations of the developers.
This is why I enjoy platformers in general, but especially Sonic because his game mechanics are almost always built with speed-running in mind. Thus, making the final product infinitely repayable compared to the competition.
for a first timer, you’re really not that bad at it. It’s unfortunate the ranking system is too easy though because in another game like Unleashed, or Adventure 2 you would’ve got a C for playing like that. Those games are very rewarding for skilled players.

Normal fans only get mad when others suck at the game and claim that it's the game's fault, whereas you actually managed to realize that you're meant to hold the boost, not press it a couple of times. Not a lot of people figure that out. You did great for a first timer. I do agree that the crazy fans will chastise you for being new. The whole point of Sonic games is to get good at it, not be good from the get go. These crazy fans forget that.

Who remembers being a sonic fan around when sonic generations released and then heard new fans be like “it’s baby sonic!” or “Sonic has a kid” and absolutely losing your shit
