The concert was amazing last night. We visited from Switzerland (having been fans since the late 80s). What I really hope someone has is a recording of the audience during the fireworks. Everyone sang "Hearts of Olden Glory" to an empty stage for 20 minutes and wept out our thank you to a band whose music touched so many nations and people.

I hope I will be forgiven, but here you go ( that's not my recording, just sharing as its quality is real good): ruclips.net/video/Q2veB66Zvmc/видео.html

What a memory! I have been a fan for 35 years, and loved every single album, ever single song. I once flew in from Shanghai to the concert in Nottingham and flew back home the same night, because I had a project to lead the following Monday morning. I came as a stranger, and left with many new friends. This last weekend I came in from Austria, where I am living now. It fills my heart with sadness that Runrig will be no more, but the fond memories of years past, plus all the records, videos and CDs I have at home will help me to continue entertaining my neighbors with my helpless singing attempts under the shower ;-) All the best to the guys - and to all my fellow Runrig fans around the globe: I am proud to be part of that global family!!

Such a shame my parents have followed them since 1970s from the start. I’m so glad they decided to do their last concert behind Stirling castle, in Stirling my birthplace.
I was at their concert on the 18th August 2018, my first and my last with my sister, brother inlaw and parents. Can I just say the concert was massive. 25,000 people or more in one field. Julie Fowlis along side Runrig was amazing, Iv became a Julie Fowis Fan now as she has one of the most magical voices Iv ever heard of, her talent to sing so fast in Gaelic is incredible, mind blowing. Runrig And Julie have made me even more proud to be Scottish, And I was happy to wear my pride of Scotland kilt and sporran and Runrig tshirt And Scottish flag last week. Runrigs music will live forever !!!! Farewell guys

Runrig kept Scotland alive, while the bbc / British establishment were trying to finish us off. This short piece by bbc ‘Scotland’ did not do justice to the huge impact Runrig have had on the virtually underground movement of Scottish language and culture.

As the mighty RunRig bring their 45 year career to an end, their end marks an era of a very changed modern Scotland to the one they started with. And those changes are by far for the worse in my view. In fact the values of the SNP are unrecognisable to the Scotland that developed the best literature, education, engineering, philosophy, ethics and highly distinctive entrepreneurs in the world. That Scotland is over now I fear.
