Yes- they maintain their language and cuisine in the areas of Thanjavur - Madurai and in Chennai there is a sauradtra street. They Don Tamil names to naturalise with the larger Tamil community . Singer TM Soundarajan - Beurocrat Vittal are some among the leading Saurastrians.

I feel utterly disturbed and heartily crestfallen watching this video. As a Sorathi from Sardar, a village near Rajkot in present day Saurashtra, I feel so bad that our language has completely been wiped away from kathiawar and we don’t even know it. I believe our holy mother should be re instated into Saurashtra with the Gujarati script so that coming generations keep this language alive.

Nice effort but there's lot of people who could help the narrator with pronunciation - of names like Madurai in which the second a is not extended. A good rule of thumb is to write everything down in nagari script - with the exception of the zha sound, you're pretty much covered and the zha can be worked on separately.

in my opinion going to 12 jyotirlingam is an old practice.saurastrians were fed up of muslim invation of sri somanatha by the peaceful qom .and a large group outwardly went on pilgrimage to rameshwaram .a sizable group did not return .small group that returned ,inspired others to migrate leaving behind their belongings .2 generations later they were prosperous and came back to windup their household property either donate to the temple or sell .similarly lot many Marathi Brahmins migrated to Kashi .

The community comes from valmiki who writes Ramayana... from Rajasthan to Sri Lanka the community spread and lives. The major community in Telugu region to deciding the political power...So please make some videos about the boya community... I think we have more than 30 lakhs people who are nearly living in india under the boya community...

Saurashtrians in TN are like sugar mixed in milk. The most famous example is the Tamezh film singer T,M.Soundararajan. He learnt the Tamil language and became the top singer until the 70s when SPB replaced him.
Unfortunately the Dravidian parties were not happy with his success and always ignored him. They're yet to honour him properly. While they are quick to glorify and honour SPB who's a Taelugu.

Completely wrong. If sourashtras originated from Gujarat why the language is similar to Marathi than Gujarati. The maker has presented the popular myth prevelant in the community. Reality is that the migration was never from Gujarat but from Kurukshetra (Haryana) 1000s of years ago. This fact has been clearly studied and presented by Late Prof. CS Krishnamoorthy in his possibly only authentic publication "THE MIGRANT WEAVERS OF SOUTH INDIA " on this subject
