I just have to join the chorus and compliment not just the amazing reading but the truly incredible writing on display in this novel. The quality of Star Wars EU/Legends Era projects especially this one is so stellar that it makes it all the more baffling how few Disney-led projects beyond the likes of Visions, Rogue One and Andor can meet the same standard of excellence when it is such a rich mine. Hell, even in the Disney era the best writing is firmly in the arena of comics & prose fiction rather than Film & TV. This book alone is ripe for a complex, mature & intrigue-filled 2-3 season Streaming Series that would blow mediocre tripe like Book of Boba Fett & Kenobi out of the water. Though I guess a better perspective to look at it is that even if it was embraced, executive & corporate meddling would more than likely strip the drama & depth & character within for thin focus grouped slop with “mass appeal” (aka bland soulless ultimately unappealing “content”)

Agreed... there is so much EU content that is not regularly available and/or was never produced in audiobook format, which is sad. Hopefully, I and some other Channels can ensure at least some of it is available moving forward (it is GOOD content, after all! 😋)
Thanks, this is great. I like how it follows Tarkin's thoughts, rather rather than Vader's or Palpatine's. The actor who played Tarkin in the films was really good at his craft, and I feel that his performance gives a lot for the book to stand on.
Peter Cushing OBE was an accomplished stage actor, sadly underrated, but his legacy is secure. A friend met him later in life, when he was an elderly widower. Was always a gentleman, the complete opposite to the nefarious character he played.
Wow this is a great book you get a look into the people who built the Death Star and worked on it not bad people at all just people trying to do their jobs and not end up on a prison planet. Watching the movies you get excited when both Death Stars and Star killer are blown up i never realized there was a million killed on the first the second was even bigger and the star killer was a planet. Star Wars kills on a whole new level they would look at our wars and say ya hold my beer lol
Yes ... when Luke destroyed the Death Star, he also killed ~ 1 million people. That puts a different take on its destruction (which was necessary, regardless)
Most of the people deployed on the Death Star were not on Death Star because they wanted to commit genocide many of them probably believed the Death Star would never be used.
Another masterpiece book that dealt with the politics and matériel behind the building and engineering of the Death Star was Thrawn Treason I believe. It also had Tarkin, Sidious, Vader and the other moff’s interacting in a mix of political intrigue and naval after-action-reports and spy novels. Highly recommend taking a peek if you haven’t read through the different thrawn series.
The reason like this Star Wars audiobook on RUclips ?. Is because it’s easy to understand when listening to it. The others you come across on RUclips are slow or broad, makes you feel growny. This one is good.

Could you please do Dark Rendezvous the unabridged version there's a abridged version but it skips loads of the story I like to read the book and listen to the audiobook a at the same time it helps me get lost in my own world where I can picture everything in my mind but can't do that with the abridged versions & it's so hard to find any unabridged version of Legends timeline stories

Thank you! I can definitely do that although, I am committed to complete all of the additional content from the Old Republic Era first. Have you tried YJK Audiobooks? I believe they have some, if not all of the audiobooks from the Galaxy of Fear series. Once I have worked to that Era, I will definitely release anything that is missing (if not beforehand).
It was my first audiobook... and constructed without knowing how to avoid adverts... expect an updated, A.I. version released in the next 6 weeks to replace this version!
Hi, I agree... from what I could learn from YT, three are 3 (at least) factors that effect the amount of commercials... this was my third audiobook and I inadvertently hit all three. 🙈 I will be redoing Death Star first (with full A.I. this time), but keep in mind each is 7+ hours long - and I would like to have each as a single audiobook. With that said, it is also my third most popular audiobook (plus it deserves to be done correctly!). I have been doing smaller projects with an eye towards updating Death Star, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, and the Coruscant Nights Trilogy. Given their length, I will re-produce the narrator (ofc), and use limited additional voices (likely 2-3 main characters only), plus any minor characters (by number of lines) for which I have an A.I. already (i.e., Darth Vader)... which is why I am creating specific short stories to accumulate A.I.s (there is a method to my madness... maybe 🤣) I will also add a soundtrack (easy to do), but limited sound effects (which is very time consuming - especially if they are timed to the dialogue)... I will start on Death Star following Allegiance. How many ads are you getting every 30 minutes?

For this one,if I'm not mistaken.I believe I was getting a double ad every minute and a 1/2 to 2 minutes,not a 💯 because it was almost a month ago, i think.when I'm at work,It's no big deal.I just let them ride,but I believe I was at home with the kids listening to this one in the background, which means when the ad kicks in, it almost doubles the volume, so it is more noticeable.no matter what,you put out good shit bro,keep doing your thing.👍

I understand... I have a ad blocker running normally, but disabled it to run through part of my audiobook... it was my first full length release (before I understood how to minimized ads). Look out for a full A. I. version coming out this year... the amount of ads will be greatly diminished!
What do you think was missing? If you mean that the same story written more like Tom Clancy's eorks (inclusive of excessive technical descriptions, etc.)... I have often thought how interesting Death Star would have been with full technical details referenced throughout. If you mean, why develop so many interesting characters, only to have them die (some with the Death Star), I can only imagine there was a mandate to do so... as it doesn't make sense to develop some solid characters only to have the best ones all due with the space of 2 chapters 😢
Agreed ... without this story, there is no realization of there being people on the Death Star ... 1,000,000 people. Some really great character in this story as well!

I understand... I have a ad blocker running normally, but disabled it to run through part of my audiobook... it was my first full length release (before I understood how to minimized ads). Look out for a full A. I. version coming out this year... the amount of ads will be greatly diminished!

If you mean that the same story written more like Tom Clancy's eorks (inclusive of excessive technical descriptions, etc.)... I have often thought how interesting Death Star would have been with full technical details referenced throughout.
If you mean, why develop so many interesting characters, only to have them die (some with the Death Star), I can only imagine there was a mandate to do so... as it doesn't make sense to develop some solid characters only to have the best ones all due with the space of 2 chapters 😢
Michael Reaves is widely published, admittedly mostly media tie in novels like this one, but there's nothing wrong with his writing.

Agreed ... without this story, there is no realization of there being people on the Death Star ... 1,000,000 people. Some really great character in this story as well!
