He's the sort of man as an octogenarian, that will make a zimmer frame look cool.
Omg... way too large for 2 people...how the rich keep destroying the environment with their with buildings... buy barren land and plant some trees... then I will be impressed

Two options: either one(or both) of them is an heir or The are conceptual artists with a pretty good marchant. I choose the first option.
I know, right? It’s funny how many artists’ work doesn’t become worth anything until after they die. Very convenient for the wealthy people who buy the stuff.
They're past retirement age. One or both probably made money in another profession.
Probably have money from something else. You'd be surprised who, and how, they come into money.
If they had painted the white bits with a lovely pastel light green colour the house would have disappeared completely from sight.
Or better else, painted with a camo pattern.
No! Clad in local rock! Also, they should have planting that hangs over that super long top ledge so it’s even more camouflaged.

Why the do they need need such an enormous house? Too much money.
To be fair, half of the entire building is taken by 2 studios, 3 courtyards, stairs, a massive corridor and what appears to be storage (between the studios). About 250sq meters for the living and bedrooms is still big for 2 people but not as oversized as it first appears by the square footage alone.
Unmolested landscape I'm sure you could have worded it a little more light hearted than that it's channel 4 what more can be said or expected

Enough corners and areas to keep the Downtown Abbey team busy cleaning and gardening, but no basement to lock the servants in.
No surprise two artists designed such a beautiful home.

Love it, I think houses that blend into their landscapes are the way of the future. I'd be very happy to live there!
I think it's a great way to hide an enormous 500sqm home like this as a one off, but how would you hide a row of small terraced houses on 100sqm plots?
I love the stories about young people with notmuch money but buckets of passion. When I see old capitalists with buckets of money and buckets of ego I just think meh.

Love the general concept of eco but I'd go for a curved, organic living space with warm cosy rooms and a ton of perrenial planting! I'm guessing this house reflects the character of the artists. I'd create a mosaic heaven 🥰🥰🥰

Useless jobs and rich, what a surprise in the UK...
Just like a piece of art, the building is a fake. A fraudulent representation of what it claims to be. At 490sqm with its thousands of tons of concrete, vast areas of glass and three bedrooms there is almost nothing to suggest the title 'eco' applies. A terrifying use of resources to house two people. The word 'eco' has been so misused that it's applied to just about anything these days. If you stripped out the furnishings it would appear as a charmless industrial concrete installation with an almost monoculture of design. The building appears as a presentation of the owners inflated egos. I'm baffled how it won any award, it seems devoid of originality. The view is the only original creative presence. There are so many designs out there similar to this. Sorry Kevin, I disagree with you on this one.

I hate the use of the word molested in this description . It’s a terrible word and bring to mind unnecessary thoughts
Beautiful house, but what I do not understand is how a part-time art teacher and an artist who has exhibited very little and in very minor galleries (obscure to say the least) can afford to build this? I guessing their previous 'Tudor house' was inherited and the value soared.... unless you are their descendants, it's unlikely you will ever achieve something like this.
This is a bird killer. It's not cool and very self-centered to build something birds can't see.

i would have chosen a bit more organic formed main roof structure, the clean line gives it that minimalistic look, but a few edges and angles wouldnt have hurt. but anyways, a glorious home, made me interested in their art
