Beautiful architecture but it's a bedroom with a partial kitchen(ette) and bathroom. There is no place to sit, relax or have company, other than to sit outside which is not always a logical solution. Nice idea though. [I was a designer in my 'former' days.]
I absolutely love the concept, design, and execution of the build of this tiny home. Many architects and interior designers completely ignore concepts of passive heating and cooling when conjuring up designs for homes and I’m super happy to see these concepts were not ignored here. Not to mention, the effective use of solar panels and the off grid water solution that help further keep the overhead costs minimal is just unreal.
This episode of NEVER TOO SMALL got me really excited! Beautiful property, well thought out, designed, and considerate of materials and land. So much to love about it. Even the owner's description and personality! Just wonderful!
You can always add that styling after the fact. Granted framing it in that direction can be crazy cool, but trim, colors and decor can take you most of the way.
I live in a rented studio apartment in Brooklyn, NY and, while I can’t do a lot of the things to a rental apartment shown in these videos, I always love the creative space-saving ideas the videos give me and the really appreciate the beautiful design of so many of the small homes. Thank you!
i think it's an absolutely gorgeous home and looks very open, airy, cozy, unique. Gorgeous windows and high ceilings. However, as someone who has built many airbnb studios as accessory buildings... a living space is very important, and even though the open concept tub shower looks beautiful it will certainly feel uncomfortable to use as most guests are not accustomed to it and that narrows the target market. One of the smaller studios I've built is just 370sf and in the layout it has a full living room with a 3 seater couch, full size kitchen including a full size island/breakfast bar, and of course a separate washroom - the only thing it does not have is the free-standing tub
So much to like here - the setting, the architecture, the materials used, and the minimalism. There's a calm and peacefulness that is very appealing. One thing lacking for me however is the absence of a living area where one could congregate and entertain or even just sit and read a book. And of lesser concern, I didn't see any kind of storage anywhere. Otherwise, really lovely.
Good points. I would’ve also added some kind of outdoor shade as the sun in Australia especially in summer is a killer. Then that could be used as a kind of living area.
@@nofapSally What I didn't see was a ladder/stool to get to the 2nd shelf that held the French press & some dishes in the kitchen. 95% perfect, though.
This little home is stunning but it's built to generate income. I hope this channel doesn't become an Airbnb review channel. I value the review of little homes people actually live in.

If you read a recipe for a fish dish do you complain that it's not for beef?
This little cabin looks ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I would love to have this space overlooking a lake or river here in the USA somewhere. We have a lot of beautiful places in the United States (as any Country does) and this space would make an amazing home for a person wanting to downsize or a beautiful and relaxing weekend getaway space. This would definitely be my "ZEN SPACE". Add this to my wish list.................
Another Airbnb. Easy to live somewhere small when it’s just for the weekend. I prefer to see real apartments that couples and families actually live in.
Whilst I understand what you guys are talking about, I'm not bothered for the occasional ad because NTS needs money, and this is fundamental for them to keep going and have this channel. Otherwise could be difficult for them to maintain their beautiful work.

I get what you mean.. with housing prices being what they are today I am actually considering a tiny house in the future..The thing I like about it is if you don't like where you live you can move the house to a new location.. it's better than having to build, buy or rent another home. It needs to be large enough to be practical for everyday life though.
I love how the owners thought of all the details so guests could just show up and relax. Can you imagine pulling in after dark... and there it is, lighted up under a beautiful Australian sky. Fire's going, big bed is ready. I want to go.
Watching Never too small videos is a therapy... It just has a huge calming effect on me... Others would agree too... Thanks for providing just a fantastic viewing experience... Love your videos.❤️❤️
I live in Florida and I got to tell you I would love to spend a week there. Talk about peace and solitude in a natural setting. And the cabin is just beautiful.
I believe this is one of the most amazing space of this channel 😍 Although not a year-round living space, it is very well designed for its purpose and context. It doesn't feel too woody or too modern, too open or too exposed. It's just right.
Agree, this is like an infomercial for a Air BNB, Not keen on open bathrooms, no lounge area, the bench looks poorly thought out in front of a big sliding door, not fan at all.
This architecture made better use of space than the usual A-shaped cabins. The simplicity of wood, glass, metal materials is a very nice touch, such a classic cozy feel
A major point of NTS videos is the thoughtfulness in designing a space for LIVING in it, with all the considerations for convenience and usability that entails. If one wanted to just look at a stylish small space, there are many, many design hotels that could fit that purpose just fine.
eventhough this building has small footprint and artistically designed, tbh i think that it doesn't reflect the "smart design and creative use of space" that usually came in every NTS video (and NTS put that principles in their "About" section) but as an interlude from the usual video, i love it ❤️
I agree. This is just… an AirBnB. It’s not very cleverly designed at all, more than anything else that’s small that has all the necessaries. It’s not innovative. There’s not even storage or much of a living space. Which, as an overnight spot isn’t necessary, I get, but… that just reduces how much they have to innovate, makes it less livable, and not what this channel was supposed to be about, in their own words. It’s a lovely property, but there are many of those. I find myself disappointed.
I guess it's all about the view and the small footprint, not so much about living for a longer period. Inside it's like a beautiful, comfortable motel-room. Outside fire, love it.
What an Exquisite Place! both the house and the farm! I love what these people are doing 😊 this is the first time I have ever appreciated an Airbnb sponsored tiny house tour on RUclips!👍oh and i cannot forget to say, well - done never too small-, beautifully filmed and edited!! Thank you for this!
Beautiful. Curious though why you wouldn't have added a couple hundred more square feet to move the sleeping area into its on space and include a living space up front. Is the only place to sit inside on the bed?
There seemed to be a small lounge area in front of the bed but they didn't focus on that space at all! I couldn't even tell if the piece of furniture placed there was an actual couch or a beanbag chair.
Being an ex Airbnb Superhost on our now sold 1 bedroom luxury apartment in Melbourne city I can say these lovely people have done an outstanding job on this great space to share with other discerning folks.
Gorgeous! Love the design, good use of material and resources with the water storage & the solar system. All in good taste, simple yet sufficient. An open bath👍😊
I would have liked to see the inside lounge space in more detail. We barely got to see it... It was hard to tell whether they'd placed an actual couch there or just a beanbag chair. I think it's important to have some comfortable lounge space inside other than the bed.
I love the exterior, but to me the interior feels ill-conceived. Who wants to cook right next to where they sleep, and have their bedding take on the smells of their dinner? And I find showers with no barrier around them to be better in theory than in practice, because they tend to splash water all over, even if there is a depressed area for the drain. Finally, as someone else said, it’s too bad there isn’t some sort of a seating area other than the bed. Perhaps it could’ve been a queen bed to save some space for that.
Absolutely love this, but there are two things about the design that doesn't feel right. First, the bed opposite the kitchen, the bedding is going to absorb all the smells and spills from the kitchen, i would have put the sink next to the bath in the bathroom and put the bed where the sink is. Second, is the lack of 'living room', no sofa or place to sit indoors, especially near that wonderful log burner fire. Maybe an option would be to have a sofa bed, thus combining living room and bedroom into one space without compromising floor space. Just my opinion :-)
The toilet and the bathroom are so big it kinda surprised me lol. Would've tried and added a little chilling space, I'm guessing that outside bench is not that comfy lol but other than that this looks so cozy

Cool ceiling especially in that dim lighting But as a city person, I always wonder how people do their grocery when living in such remote places.. Very cool as an AirBnb tho I guess
When I was a kid living on a remote station; Mum used frozen veg, powdered milk, and lots of shelf-stable products. She made most of our bread and biscuits/cakes, fruit was reasonably shelf-stable (i.e. apples that last a while), frozen or off our own trees. Dad slaughtered our own meat, and anything fresh was planned and used within a day or two of getting home. You have to plan, either individual meals for however long or what variety to keep on hand for
Beautifully finished with great materials, but floor plan is seriously floored, I reckon. It's a weekender, so who needs a super spacious bathroom and a seperate toilet with a seating bench? These could have been incorporated into one smaller room, freeing up enough space to move the bed out of the kitchen, and therefore creating a dining / sitting room. As it is, I think I'd start to go bonkers very quickly.
Simply BUTIFUL as they say [yes BUTIFUL no spelling mistake] I could do some nitpicking but could not find any reason. It is an AirB&b. Perfect in every way. Glad I came across your build. In UK I am converting my detached double garage and building out house in the garden - already pinched few ideas from your project Thank you thank you and Shukriya 👍👍👌👌🎉🎉👏👏🥂🥂
Normally it makes sense that some of these small, like they used to be crammed apartments or something, but this one is built in an open field: it doesn’t have to be small.
For me it makes sense, i found it perfect for a few days, it is not meant for living daily, It is more like a hotel room. Off course I would agreed with you if this was meant to be a primary residence. Greetings =)

sort of feel it needs a comfy sofa or some comfy seating to curl on in front of the log burner, to avoid using the bed as a sofa as well.
My next trip, I can't wait, I've searched so much and she's perfect.
Nice location and materials, I have my doubts about the layout though, living and sleeping in the same space doesn't seem very practical.
Simply BUTIFUL as they say [yes BUTIFUL no spelling mistake]
I could do some nitpicking but could not find any reason. It is an AirB&b. Perfect in every way. Glad I came across your build. In UK I am converting my detached double garage and building out house in the garden - already pinched few ideas from your project
Thank you thank you and Shukriya 👍👍👌👌🎉🎉👏👏🥂🥂
I really hate Airbnb, crazy high "service" fees but when you have an urgent matter they dump you in the gutter.
Then don't stay with them. I love airbnb. I stay in them almost exclusively 6 months a year
More choice is always better.
Thanks for showing me your beautiful home and the world.
It's such an amazing piece of architecture. I want it
Me too. Actually this concept is so great, you can put it even in urban areas, since it can function as rooftop apartment.
bro... it's a 30 degree wedge made from basic and common materials
@@burnzy3210 sure, but the indoor design is unique
@@prunabluepepper how? it's an open plan kitchen/shower/bedroom with a single central brick support and a small room for a toilet
@@burnzy3210 ok, so... How many of such dwellings have you seen so far? Have you ever visited or lived in such a hut?
What great place to stay! So nice and thoughtfully designed and built.
Normally it makes sense that some of these small, like they used to be crammed apartments or something, but this one is built in an open field: it doesn’t have to be small.
It makes you spend time outside in the surrounds.
For the renters, it's cozy! For the owners, it's easy to clean and maintain! 👍🏼😎✌🏼
I mean it's basically a single hotel room so I kinda get it
For me it makes sense, i found it perfect for a few days, it is not meant for living daily, It is more like a hotel room. Off course I would agreed with you if this was meant to be a primary residence. Greetings =)
It was made to be sustainable as well so makes more sense to make a smaller space with no footprint, and gives that off-grid feeling
Love the design of this tiny house.
Timeless understated elegance and in the sticks to boot love it ...
Beautiful job. And how lucky is that family! I can only dream...
I love how chill all these videos are! The space also looks amazing, would love to try one day. Too bad it's so far away from me. :)
That solar array on the roof is comforting... LOVE the Green sustainable features!
