I don't understand keyboard reviews that don't show 30 seconds of typing on the keyboard. I mean, that's 99% of what I'll be doing on a keyboard, but it's something I can't research from specs. The #1 value add of a VIDEO would actually be to let me see and hear the keyboard to try to get a sense of how it works and feels. Argh. Pleeease just do a little typing on them. It's not hard.
I don't understand the total downgrade on the media keys from the Ornata V1 and V2. I want the full range of controls with skip track and volume built in, thats kinda lame.
I used to use the Cynosa Chroma keyboard, but now I've switched to the Ornata. Both of these keyboards fall into Razer's budget range. Each of these keyboards has its unique qualities, making it difficult for me to definitively favor one over the other. Specifically, the Ornata Low Profile Mecha-Membrane keyboard offers a superior key press feel, while the Cynosa outshines in terms of RGB lighting and customization. The Cynosa features individual backlighting for all its keys, which allows for limitless RGB customization via the Razer Synapse software. In contrast, the Ornata only offers 10 distinct RGB zones, which might not be as impressive as the Cynosa's lighting setup. Ultimately, the choice between these keyboards depends on the buyer's personal preference, whether they prioritize RGB lighting or the tactile experience of key presses.
Thanks for the review. I've been looking for a new keyboard for a while and this has helped alot. I will be buying this keyboard in the next days. Keep up the good work!
Is ghosting appearing on your unit? I just found out in one of the games that there is ghosting when using Caps+"w"+"A" or "D" and space, it suppose to be a gaming keyboard, wtf razer?
@@TheTemplarFlame_ It suppose to be set automatically, I have returned that keyboard and purchased Cooler Master SK652 - I am soooo pleased with that one.
Guys what do i do i have it and i Play on Xbox so i cant download the app for IT and IT was glowing RGB and its glowing green and off green and off . How to i turn normal mode back
love this keyboard beacause of the meca membrane keys.. but don't really love the build.. is there anything with the same switches but better build quality or wireless?
and didnt even talked about gaming experience with this, neither showed some gaming with this, i read lot of people have issues with this keyboard about ghosting, you cant press more than 3 keys or something like that and i need to hear more about this..
hey ! i saw a lot of peoples complaining about the ghosting on this keyboard. Im really interested by it but i don't know how to position myself about it... Have you noticed ghosting or some problems with keys on it ?
Something he doesn't mention is Keyrollover. The Ornata V3 doesn't seem to support it. It's not ghosting per-se but it means this is absolute garbage for gaming. You can't press 2-3 keys at the same time as they won't register. For instance on mine, if I press CAPS LOCK I can't press W and D at the same time, or W and space. Imagine not being able to jump forward in CS or Valorant cause you pressed Caps?
The X has just membrane switches, but the normal version has mecha-membrane switches. The other differences I don't care bout myself, but if you care bout the switches being "mechanical" I'd go for it 👍🏻
Im using this keyboard right now for month and i have a problem becose under caps lock light under del button the plastic is broken and it clikcs when i put preasure with my finger i dont know why, is this a secret button?
I just got the FAR more expensive huntsman and i can't stand the size of the keys and how much travel they have, it's so terrible for gaming. Returning it today and gonna try this out
Does it though? Any angle, any way i try to attach it, it doesn't, have they taken out the magnets and just told us it can still attach somehow? The magnets appear to be non existent.
just plug it on your pc, and once u do so, your synapse should receive an update wich you need to install, and after it, your keyboard is paired with it
DO NOT BUY. Ornata V3 doesn't have N-Key rollover/anti-ghosting and for a "gaming" keyboard that is REALLY bad. It doesn't register more than 2 keys being pressed at the same time. More accurately, it depends on the combination: - W+A+E - Shift+W+Q˛
is the ornata v3 X version. the version that has a "X" i n the name is cheaper version of this one so it doesnt have some features and is overall a bit worse
Not cool I’m super skinny and I’m that way bc I have hormone deficiency and sickle cell you don’t know what this guy has going on so it’s fcked up to try and make fun of how he looks and it 9/10 is something he can’t control

Did they remove this feature?? My Ornata Chroma V1 (had it about 7 years now😅) has individual key backlighting 😮
thank you for the info man, straight to the point
Can I choose the RGB color for just one keycap?
Nope it’s a ten zone keyboard

You can activate "Gaming Mode" in the Razer software but it's still wierd that you have to do that.

Had a V1 Ornata for about 7 years and I didn't know about the function F11 and F12 light bind! Great review!

i dont understand some reviewers, they do a review video of a keyboard without typing on them once.
he did press

Does it feel like a mechanical keyboard? It sounds like one
Excellent review. Thank you.
There is a TKL version of this
Does the TKL version of this keyboard have anti-ghosting?

@@johnmichaels8261NAH this is garbage
would this keyboard be good for typing?(writing essays, etc.)
Yeah it's good if you don't mind a bit of clicky sounds coming from it
I ordered the X version on accident, as a having should I return it for this one or don't worry about it? Thanks
The X has just membrane switches, but the normal version has mecha-membrane switches. The other differences I don't care bout myself, but if you care bout the switches being "mechanical" I'd go for it 👍🏻
@ghxsty10 yeah I think I'll just keep it. Getting used to it now. The hardest part was getting used to my left pinky sitting on the low profile keys
Do i need the app to change the color scheme? I cant download certain apps on company computer.
Yes
The clicking sounds sound kind of gross, but in IRL it's very nice and feels super great for typing/gaming!
Yeah for sure! Hybrid switches pulling in clutch 🤙
Thanks for posting this. I thought they sounded bad, but I'll take this comment in consideration.
Thanks for the review
No problem 👍
I ordered mine this morning.
Thank you I will definitely be buying this 👍

Bro out here looking like DJ Qualls
"Not gonna bend the keyboard when youre gaming" me procedes to smack the shit out of it if i lose a winnable game

It is ironic that the wrist-rest in the Ornata has magnets but the one in the Huntsman V2 TKL does not.
Right? Razers pricing structure doesn't make sense sometimes..
Does it though? Any angle, any way i try to attach it, it doesn't, have they taken out the magnets and just told us it can still attach somehow? The magnets appear to be non existent.
Can you customize the keys whit different colors as w, a, s, d to be in one colors others different like marking?
No, it only has 10 RGB zones
yeah but how do i connect it to razer synapse -_-
just plug it on your pc, and once u do so, your synapse should receive an update wich you need to install, and after it, your keyboard is paired with it
Great video, thank you!
where i open it on windows

it's shit, no NKRO! the older version had the NKRO functional, but this doesn't? very weird
i have the razer ornata v3 and i dont have the number pad on it
Nice review!
I have the same keyboard but my wrist-rest does not attach magnetically

mecha memberane just means regular membrane with a metal pin just for the sound..
There is now a TKL version as well!
What material is the wrist rest made of?
plastic
Not always with numpad. I don't have it.
