FS-GT3C ticks a lot of boxes for me; multiple model memory; fully adjustable; good response; LED display; lipo battery and charger; good spring tension on wheel and trigger. The build quality is good and the radio is light and feels good in the hand. I have one for my bashers, even use one in my son's stadium truck. The radio has been knocked off the table a couple of times but still going strong. The receivers are dirt cheap so you can have one for each vehicle. The scrolling is not a big deal, its only backwards when using the top menu choices. Changing settings is a real pain until you learn the proper procedure ( I will post it), probably the most frustrating thing about this radio. It is a 3 channel radio but not really a big deal for most applications. Really, I don't think the other two even compare.
the flysky is the gt3C model but for around 10 dollars less you can get the gt3B, Same functions only that runs on alkaline batteries, like the other 2. That being said ive had a gt3c for years now im going to get the dumbo rc for my mini and try it out
Feature-for-feature, I truly think the GT3C is the best choice. Yes, the wheel scrolling through the menu system is backwards, and the operating functions of some of the buttons can be confusing at first...but, once you understand it, and have gotten used to it, it's no longer a "problem". Besides, of the three, it's the only one with multi-vehicle memory. Honestly, I would never use it to run any of my land-based vehicles (for that, I have my Futaba 7PX)...but, for some of my boats, it's perfect. Having two part-time 'rescue' boats, I have one on the 7PX, and the other on the GT3C. That way, if I'm using one of the 'rescue' boats for fun, I always have the ability to use the other 'rescue' boat to rescue the first.
Razor mentioned the difficulty in learning to program the FS-GT3C but it is easy once you learn these steps: 1. Turn Power 'On' 2. Press 'Enter' 3. Use scroll wheel to select option. 4. Press 'Enter' 5. Use scroll wheel to select channel 6. Press 'End' 7. Adjust setting to desired value 8. Press 'Enter' and setting will be saved *Repeat steps 3-8 for each channel and option
Heard a lot people forgot to charge the lipo battery of gt3c ends up no spare battery can be found on market Flysky i3 is old school but good enough! U need no binding 10 models at one remote because u share rc to others to run with u
for me dumbo is the fast and easier setting with the rotating set, for the setting workflow, dumbo more faster rather than FS-GT3C need to adjust on menu back and back again and took a time for play my RC CAR for dirt race...
I’ve been wanting to try the Dumbo Rc one. I have a GT3C and I always hit the dual rate button and it messes it up. The instruction book is horrible and like you said the scroll is backwards and the enter and end button is screwy.
Any comparison of the DomboRC against the WPL Res-V3 kit? I'm looking to complete a C-34 metal kit, and the WPL obviously stays on brand with some accessory features
That's my biggest complaint about it. I've had problems with them in the past, and know a lot of other people have too. Functionality is great, but if it breaks after 6 months... 🤷♂️
I have the dumbo with built in gyro.. that gyro setting is real weird, maybe it's just mine but every time I get going about half-speed or up the gyro goes crazy and the tires just Shimmer back and forth back and forth
Hi! Great video!! I noticed recently that an old HSP receiver was compatible with Flysky transmitter. The two receivers look exactly the same. And they look exactly the same as the Austar receiver.. do you know or can you try if flysky and somehow are compatible? Thanks
How is the Dumbo RC X6 compared to the Spectrum SLT3 as a first time beginner radio transmitter ? I had asked this in your DumboRC review but the question probably belongs here. Thank you
Any chance you have a SLT3 that you could put up for review ? I'm more interested in ease of use, grip feel, throttle and steering response, and overall build quality compared to the Dumbo RC X6FG. Thank you
no, only the Flysky can be set to control more than one vehicle. channels are for each function on the car, example channel 1 is steering, channel 2 is throttle. you could add more functions, like lights or a winch or whatever on additional channels.
@@RazorRC are throttle trim, steering trim, steering reverse, etc (like the four dials in the dumborc) considered a channel each? or you can have 6 channels plus those dials adjustment?
Hi, I'm a newbie at this so hopefully you can help with the basics. I picked up an old 3-band 27Mhz RC car t(a very cool, HUGE 1/8 scale Ford GT, almost 2 feet long!) that takes a 9.6V NiCd battery pack. It didn't come with a remote, so I bought a few 27Mhz remotes, even some with 3 or 4 bands, but none of them would operate the car (which I think is weird because there are only 6 bands in the 27Mhz range, so I figured at least ONE of the remotes would work). So I assume that to get this working, I must buy a new transmitter/receiver kit. My confusion is, the kits I see (for example, the AUSTAR AX6S 4CH 2.4Ghz) are all either 6V or 12V, but I don't see any 9.6V kits? What am I missing here? How does a 6 or 12v receiver work off a 9.6v battery? Thanks for any info.. (PS: Is it difficult to swap out the original receiver for a new one?) PS: From what I can gather, this is probably NOT a 'hobby grade" car, but I'd still like to get it working (made by "1 Badd Ride")... Tks.
Yo what was your experienc? Because mine broke when I hooked it up to a dumbo x6! I thought it was just a coincidence but seeing your comment raised my eyebrow lol

The Austar was the ones to get 4 years ago but now the others have come out with more features for the same price.

Dumbo is THE Best 😎💪🏻
Woo hoo! I bought the #1 one! :-)
(I have a Tamiya VW Beetle rally car kit on back order that I plan on using it with.)
Good choice!
Witch one should i get the dumbo or the slt3 for my talion v4 ?? I can get the slt3 cheaper than the dunbo rc
What I learn out of this is that us transmitters and recivers are waaaay over priced
If you think that US models are too expensive, buy a cheaper Chinese one.
Are these all portionable?

The thing everyone forgets to mention about the dumbo is it doesn't have model memory

Wanted to add that I will be using a Tamiya TBLE-02 ESC, wondering if it matters in decision making between the Dumbo X6FG vs Spectrum SLT3.
@@RazorRC The SLT3 I bought came with the SLR300 receiver which is only the SLT protocol. We haven't installed it yet but how is the range on it?
ABS Reluctor Rings. Or Triger Rings.
Wondering if anyone can confirm that the dunbo does not work on the vxl3

The Austar has weak end-stops for their wheel. Looks great, but poorly designed.
