Kathy Bates rightly gets a lot of praise for her performance here, but I think that James Caan deserves a lot of credit, too. Misery, The Shining, The Exorcist, IT, Silver Bullet, Poltergeist, Amityville Horror, Hellraiser, The Thing and some 90s horror movies i can't remember the names of lol
I love this girl. She's super cool, so feminine and sweet with her emotions yet so strong and smart. Thanks guys for the fun reaction! Your both great!
This was the first rated R movie I saw in theatre, my dad took me to see it when I was around 9 or 10. NO F’N IDEA WHY lol, but I’ll always remember this movie for that. Oh and the block of wood/sledgehammer & ankle scene; crazy even for adults, imagine it for a 9 year old kid
Glad you guys reacted to this. Whether or not it won a poll isn't really important. It's a fantastic movie regardless. If all of King's movies were adapted correctly, the guy would have as many hit movies as he does books. Crazy how the source material is right there, but are studio execs that think they can do it better somehow, and then turn around and fuck up a guaranteed success. Like Ron White said, "you can't fix stupid."
As opposed to the entirely unchanged adaptation of Misery?
Kathy Bates has had and still has such an amazing career. This movie is a crown on her head for sure!
my man learned the term symbolism in middle school english and never forgot it. he never learned anything else, but he remembered that
I literally just re read this book yesterday. The movie is fantastic but man that book. It’s truly haunting
Appreciate your reactions as always. This one is intense. And glade you experienced this film. So great.
In case you guys didn't know James Caan passed away on July 7, 2022. James caan best acting performance is in THE GODFATHER (1972) as Sonny Corleone. I recomend you to watch , its a masterpiece and a classic and The Greatest Movie Of All Time.
Stephen King saw Kathy Bates in this and wrote Delores Claiborne specific for her. Another great movie for your list.
Woah never knew that. Makes sense looking back.
29:41 That scene that had me laughing out loud. Especially when he's telling her to eat it as he's doing it lol.
“His tibia and fibia are going to be all over the place!” OMG! I just discovered this channel today and I love ya’ll! New subscriber and follower here!❤
Recently watched this film, it's sick. Loving the reactions lately guys! I've been binging, always cheer me up considering I'm not too happy lately.
You guys are the first reactors I have seen watch this, that has known before hand what she was going to do before she actually did anything. Kudos
all I can hear in my head now is "he's walking like a penguin! he's walking like a penguin!" in Ash's voice...... dayum!! Epic reaction you two!
One of my personal favs! Directed by Rob Reiner who also made The Princess Bride. Awesome reaction. Btw, I don't feel Hannah has trust issues lol. The truth is women are able to understand and see right through other women in a way most men generally can't. I think your girlfriend has a gift for discernment and can judge a person's character rather well (based on what I've seen here and other reaction videos). It's also really cute to see how comfortable and free you both are with each other. P.S. If Hannah can tolerate your beard smell, she's DEFINITELY the one, mate. Haha ;)
Fun fact, William Goldman who wrote the Princess Bride (book and film script) also wrote the script adaptation for misery! Weird there are so many connections but such different films
I sometimes think he should've hired her as his agent so she'd have to publish a press release about what happened while promoting the upcoming book, turning her into a celebrity while giving her the motivation to continue on living with him. Then he could have her recount her past as material for even more Misery books, literally using her as inspiration.
I said this before, but the energy you guys have is infectious and an absolute joy to watch. You make me love watching my favorite movies all over again.
Hannah's hair on point 🔥🔥
Fried Green Tomatoes next! She’s awesome in that one as well.
Love that movie. Needs more reactions for sure.
Yes! Such a great movie
KATHY BATES!!!! Now watch her in “The Waterboy” she’s incredible
I'm not that fond of the films based on Steven King's books, but this, Carrie and The Shining are definite classics. Great reactions from both of you! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for doing the live chat premieres on these...super fun watching these in real time with the rest of your community. Good stuff. Another killer reaction. 👍❤
What a performance from Kathy Bates, it’s no surprise that she won an award for this.
So glad I found your channel. Love you guys, watching with you guys is always a blast ; ) keep up the classics, please 🙏
Don’t know if anybody else already recommended this, but I think you’d both enjoy Fatal Attraction from 1987
So many symbolisms!
I’ve gotten into the habit of throwing the thumbs up as soon as the vid loads….love you guys!
I have been waiting for you guys to watch this classic :) knew you would love it.
So glad you guys did this reaction...I love this film so much. Thank you.
My mom introduced me to a lot of these movies. It's thanks to her I enjoy psychological stuff. Thanks mom!
I love y'all, and Hannah you're beautiful and emotionally intelligent, which is rare 💖💖❤️💕
i just wanna say Hannah's hairstyles are just **chef's kisses** 👩🍳💋🤌
"Oh, yeah. We really want to take life advice from Annie." (Hannah). GREAT line, girl!
Who deserves the Oscar - James Caan, Kathy Bates, or Hannah's hair?
Kathy Bates is an amazing actor and another great film she’s in (true story I believe) is A Home Of Our Own which is such an underrated heart warming story
Yeah but she is ugly.
4:47 “she looks like mrs trunchbull mixed with Matilda” I’m crying bro🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
First video I watched of you guys. You two are hilarious 😂 definitely will be watching more and subscribing. 👍
Stephan King is such a great writer. So many of his books and short stories have been made into great films. Kathy Bates is worth watching in any film she does.
My grandmothers house had door locks like that. And I did try yo pick them with a bobby pin when I was a kid. It worked. It was very easy.
Dolores Claiborne is her very best performance, imo. Another Stephen King book. But one that was done excellently! Also, Storm of the Century is a must see!
