The only two creators I've ever followed build guides for POE. Gaurdian SRS, Kitavas Ice Nova and now LS Warden. The way y'all update your starters with day 2/3/4/final updates and POB links is very helpful. Also, crafted my +2 gloves the other night for LS warden. Cost me 9 divines but I got it!!!
Fantastic video with a crossover between two of my favorite creators! Lots of valuable insight regarding analytics and content that does well versus content that feels satisfying to make. I think the biggest take away for me was Subtractem saying "make the kind of videos that you want to see". Looking forward to episode #4 :D
Please consider having @Woolfio on Paltalk.. he off-meta building is wacky and would be interesting to hear his views on how PoE has progressed in regards to far out build ideas over the years.
When I started playing PoE Sub was the first guy I started following. His big crafting tutorial along with other league mechanic guides really elevated my knowledge and understaing of the game
You guys are both great content creators. One thing I've noticed recently is how much new players want to be able to facetank everything. Not good defenses, not decent chance not to die, complete stand in the middle of all the mobs tanking everything and not dying. It always seems to spark interest, probably because dying on POE is so fucking annoying.
Subtractem being a total degen lol love both of yalls content, and have learned so much it's crazy to me. im still boo-boo at the game, but it's far more enjoyable thanks to you two!
the crafting guide video was definitely a RUclips algorithm thing, i got this video in my autoplay for 5 times now and it makes sense because youtube loves long videos
Subs Frostblink Elementalist was the first league start build guide I followed in Necropolis, really helped me breeze through the campaign steadily way ahead of the power curve for the first time. I ran blindly twice through the campaign in previous seasons but despite 10s of thousands of hours in various ARPGs and MMOs like D2 classic, D3, WoW, Etc, coming into a game 10 years in, that has endless layered content that is not explained in detail was always daunting, now I know the fundamental baseline of the game and I'm blasting like I do in the other games I've spent countless time in, stoked for poe2 and future poe1 seasons. W Subtractem
I have to say I've been playing POE since 2015 on/off and this is the first league I actually engage with craft, I can understand why people having dopamins with good rolls, it's amazing
I loved this podcast. THANK GOD me and my two friends didnt do group play. Last time was affliction and i dont think it will ever be close to that for us.
Subtractem is the reason i am addicted to elementalist ignite, and subsequently the reason I started EQ Ignite Elementalist this league. Mace enchant big for the build :D
I started playing poe in Crucible league with pal EA league starter and then I switched to coc soulrend from Sub good to see things going well for both of them, good video gg guys .
Talking about weird enchants, the weirdest one is the “20-30% minion damage if you’ve hit recently” bc it’s more expensive and worse than the straight up minion damage enchants.
If they keep Kingsmarch in the game I think it will start fully leveled. Story wise it doesn't make sense that we are building it from scratch every league. And since this is a hub in PoE 2 I think it will stay. Whether or not they keep mapping/shipping in is another question but if they want us to ever go there I suppose they will keep it in some capacity. I agree with @Palsteron that I think they will integrate gold into each new league mechanic.
I heard that the town is supposed to be a PoE 2 town so they could just simplify the mechanic a lot and give us different new towns to build every league to build up hype for PoE 2. I dont know if it would be too much on top of a new league mech every league but I feel like its something that could be done.
For me as a non-pro gamer on this game, the boat felt incredibly good to stack "side" currencies like exalted, blessing, etc... And I actually tried for the first time my own crafts because I actually had those currencies I never have because I'm never deep enough in a league for that
Tbh I am like one of the only people that hated having to go out of mapping to manage the ships. Would have been nice if we could control it all from ho.
Palsteron! You're idea to keep the currency exchange and have gold always have something in new league mechanics is amazing! I just don't want them to get rid of it.
I had a pretty good hateforge build planned out but power runes too expensive still for the soul gain enchant... Only had about 40 div by time I wanted to make second char / completed atlas. I hope the league retention stays high, so can try other build.
Sub - I can't speak for everyone but the main fun in following your streams at LS was doing the same build as you. Most leagues you put together a LS build and a huge amount of us start that build and follow you for tips putting it together. Your game knowledge and explanations are still second to none so we'll all be back :)
Nice video! I feel like you didn't talk much about 3.25 settlers. I was waiting for your comments and improvements/buffs/nerfs would feel warranted. What about the state of build diversity? What about ground loot? T17? Uber drops? Ascendencies? Farming Strategies?
@@leonsibum7144 shouldn't be that long? plus u dhould get a bit more than 4d, could need more testing but seems better overall from what I've seen. plus much higher chance at a jackpot
I hate the buildup or boot strapping every league too. I wish I could level an alt and do that. Level in heist, delve, and everything just to get those things up to a decent level.
I don't think the current end game is in a good state for map blasters. There's no aspirational farm beyond clicking boxes in a T17 (which you can do on a dog shit build) and no incentive to innovate and improve your character to be able to do harder content for more loot. While affliction was an extreme case of where it was fun to keep investing in your character because of the difficulty, we need juice to have more impact on loot drops because right now, difficulty does not scale reward proportionally.
"Difficulty does not scale rewards proportionally" - agreed, prime example is wisps making mobs insanely tanky while not dropping anything. However, I dont agree with the first point. You have the incentive to upgrade your character due to how hard the content can be and thats a good thing. You can put titanic scarabs, wisps, additional modifiers on bosses. It's pretty ridiculous. This in theory should give you more "quant", but for some reason it just doesnt work rn...
I'm fine with the most powerful enchants being expensive (and I'm in the group that can't afford it!). It's the same as headhunter & mageblood. The game is just as enjoyable if you never gonna get those. The game would feel bland and forgettable if everything was easy to get.
Depends on how hard to get is it tho, not everyone has huge amount of time to play the game, I for example I can't touch the Mageblood because is 300 divs so takes me months to get one, on the other hand last two leagues I got the MG and had a lot of fun with it.
price in trade is soo high, but in ssf they are not even possible unless you play for 16h day for a league. I wish they didn't make it so rare cause league is being gated by power runes basically
i do wish runes were a little easier to get in SSF. i have a feeling the league will end before i get even half of the runes id need for the enchants id like to play with
Dude I don't understand why people like the ships, I find it is so tedious and boring. I felt like there was little to none thought about how to min max or optimize it. And the IRL timed stuff is such a turn off for me, I can't stand the feeling of being pressured to log into a game that I don't really want to log into at the current moment. I really hope this doesn't go core, because it is going to be pretty much mandatory to do since it is always going on while you are doing other stuff.
Its boring for sure, but not tedious. Its very comfy because you literally dont do anything. But its bad because I just want to fight pirates or smth. Maybe add more and frequent events, besides these new bosses.
on another note, i feel like this chat ended a little too abruptly, i would have liked to hear yall talk a bit more, the vibes were nice and i feel like yall couldve gone on a bit longer! thanks for the content tho man as always
New build & more Paltalks coming soon, loving the league so far 👀
Thanks again to @subtractem for joining me!
Watching pal craft thaught me how to craft too, settle before you loose 4x the crafting cost.

Two of my favourite poe content creators - great video

Add a little D2 gold noise sound effect to the loot filter *Chefs Kiss*
the JFK video by LEMMiNO is great (subtractem mentioned it). And this was a nice cozy talk!
I started playing poe in Crucible league with pal EA league starter and then I switched to coc soulrend from Sub good to see things going well for both of them, good video gg guys .
Playing your vaal ls ascendant now, put like 300-350 divs in it, this shit is bonkers, gj on it
Vaccuming up gold is the best feeling in the game.
Loving these 121s ❤ keep bringing them Pals 😊

Watching this while using Subs lacerate/ground slam build to do maps. So yea, basically doing what you talked about 😂

Necropolis just covered up the loot problem with drop mods, now we see it full force.
The channel Sub is talking about regarding the JFK assassination is likely Lemmino.

Want these vids to be more creator centered, will make a vid about that later in the league!
Shipment rework with the thaum dust feels shit imo. Straight up a downgrade from before.
try doing a giga shipment to kalguur

This video changed my opinion on Subtractem to be more positive.
how do i do the gold beam thing?
18:50 Huh... interesting.
I'm the exact opposite with gold and how it feels.
I dislike it quite a lot and just hide it from my filter 🤔

As less people are playing the power runes will keep climbing in price
that was a very good video, enjoyed it a lot! one question tho - why the FUCK is it SO SHORT??
Too bad chaos dot is in such a rough spot after the poison nerfs and got caught in the crossfire. Rip bane I miss you.
I never craft because I'm way more afraid of loosing stuff than happy with gaining stuff.
