Picked mine up a week after Sandy Hook. Feed it mainly PPU 150 Grain Soft Points. Getting about 2-2.5 MOA with it. I shaved about a 1/2 inch off of the group by upgrading the 4x LPS scope to. 6X POSP. I know several other owners that use it to regularly hunt deer and feral hogs with. I posted your video to a PSL Owners FB group. Half life of tritium is 13 years. If you are having problems seeing the reticle, you might want to mount a POSP new manufacture scope on it. You won’t crack the bolt carrier, more like the receiver and good luck finding a replacement one. The evil third pin actually held a safety sear that prevented out of battery detonation. All of the changes are done at the Cugir factory. Very few were imported In .308. The mags for that caliber are pretty much unobtainium. The two owners that I know of that own them in .308 had to modify other magazines to fit in their rifle. The $3K price is for the new commercial Romanian scope. The new ones that come with the POSP scope are cheaper.
I seen some brand new ones available for import starting sometime last week. Seen it in store. Felt pretty good to hold. No lug for a bayonet, and it came with a russian battery powered scope with similar set up to the romanian tritium scope. Only one mag for it though
You wont get hit in the eye from the scope. That's why that rubber eye piece is a good cushion. I put eye right into the rubber opening, never once it came close to my eye.
Take 3 utg Tri barrel mounts from the front sight to the gas block mount them on it is stiffens up the barrel helps with harmonics helps draw heat out of the barrel more accurate shooting use Z Max engine additive while the metal is hot pour down the barrel receiver bolt Carrier bolt In the piston drive area but pregnant the matter W hot wipe it down will help keep it clean help it last longer
@@scooter4849 No prob. I'm really into milsurps. I have shown some of them, but not most. I probably will show it soon. Maybe compare it to a VEPR 54r or something.
The SVT38 and the SVT40 Tokarev Then the SKS 7.62x45mm then in the 7.62x39 mm then in the Russian dragunov The Iraq Military made their version of a dragunov Magazine had a Palm tree on it
👍👍 Beautiful rifle but Wow that moa is weak for that long barrel not what I inspected 😥😥 my Vepr fm-47-11 is way better than that 😉 . I had a mosin 91/30 cut down to 19" barrel and it was hella accurate also with a scout scope and milsurplus ammo
Yeah the supposed accuracy is a bit disappointing. You might able to get well under 2 moa with it, but don't expect it. Gun does the job its meant to do though i suppose. Not a precision sniper rifle for sure. A .308 or 54r vepr is definitely a better investment i think but it lacks the historical and just coolness factor of the psl or svd i think. Thanks for watching friend.

Wow thanks for all the information dude. Thanks for posting my video there too.
Beautiful rifle. Since this creature was made in a Latin country, I appropriately named name, "The Spaghetti Dragunov".
Great review! I always wanted a PSL, if they ever do another run I definitely will pick one up. Anyway, thanks for the Informative video!
Thanks for watching my friend

Good to know thanks.
you forgot one thing , with the psl you can shout with the iron sight even if you have the scope attached , on dragunov you can "t

Nice rifle and good video. I like my PSL too. Mine is marked Romak 3. I've had it for a while.
Thanks man. Didn't know you had one too. Do a vid on it if you haven't sometime.

@@2aEdu yeah i need to get a vepr one day before they're all gone.
@@scooter4849 Yeah. the 54r are already harder to find than some of the other calibers. Which sucks.
If you go to their website they use draw 165 gr Bullet
it means 'rifle, semiautomatic, with scope' ... you got your words out of order

Yes the iraqi version was called the tabuk.
The correct scope is an 8 by 42 scope

It’s a thin barrel that heats up and starts stringing rounds after about the 3rd shot.
