I am making "Mitarashi Dango" (Japanese dumplings coated with sweet soy sauce glaze). This is a traditional Japanese sweets born in Kyoto. Mitarashi dango is so popular and commonly eaten in Japan that you can find it in any convenience stores or supermarkets throughout the country.
*Note that there are several types of "rice flour". If you use "joshin-ko", follow my recipe shown in this video (the dough should be steamed first, and then rolled into balls). If your flour is "shiratama-ko" or "dango-ko", knead the dough, roll it into small balls, and boil them.
    ■Ingredients■
    150g rice flour (joshin-ko)
    120ml hot water
    [Mitarashi glaze]
    100ml water
    2g kombu
    40ml soy sauce
    100g sugar
13g potato starch (mixed with 20ml of water)
