- This is the DUOONE, essentially two monitors connected by a clamshell hinge that is as portable as a laptop. Connect to you MacBook or iPad or Windows laptop via USB-C cables or HDMI and get two extra screens anywhere.
This is unfortunately a Kickstarter project, so it's not something you can buy right away, but it is fully backed.

Having a stacked dual screen monitor at $700 is better than 2 portable monitor is.... ? I'll stick with my 16" 4K OLED touchscreen monitor with built in battery and KICKSTAND. Use my tablet on the other side as my 3rd screen.
Get a laptop stand. Put your laptop on it. Use some vecro straps to attach the laptop the stand. Get a usb C screen and make a loop with zipties. Hang the screen over the via the top screen. Now the second screen will be over the keyboard. Now connect a blutooth mouse and keyboard. Now you have a dual screen laptop setup thats all in one. All in front of you and all fits in a single laptop bag.
A solution searching for a problem. Nobody realistically would sit at a coffee shop with all that gear laid out, and while at your home desk you can simply plug in a standard 4K external desktop.
lightweight? the 16 inch is 1.5 kg (3.30 lbs), the 17 inch is 1.62 kg (3.58 lbs) and all youre getting is a dual monitor, not even a stand. For someone traveling weight is important too and this weighs more than your usual laptop.
Your hack is very useful. Unfortunately I'm not yet in the field of digital work that needs 3 screens. But it's really practical for those who travel and always needs 3 screens to work. Great hack 👍
It costs too much.. ehomewei, uperfect and lepow are more affordable.
welcome to jakarta 😀
This is definitely useful, i have same setup at hotel, and it came in very handy as its earir to carry on flight..its a uperfect screen same implementation.
I've seen people with 27" iMac's (Intel based) with a second full size monitor working at coffee shops. I've never understood the desire to lug around so much equipment into a coffee shop, even though Ben this is a much more elegant solution, why not just do that work at home or wherever home is at that moment and make your own coffee or buy from a nearby cafe and bring it home? I also am not the type that can do real work in a relatively loud coffee shop so that idea never appealed to me but I like this solution. You're right though, the price tag will put off a lot of people since it's a KS from an unknown company.
Can you comfortably use those in a triple-stacked setting where all 3 screens are not tilted? Looks like you have a 16 inch Macbook Pro whose upper screen goes just over 10 inches above the desk, so I wonder if two more above it would be nice (with e.g. portable magnetic vesa mount stand) or if the top one would be too high.
This man never stops. In every new video he is in another place!! Nice.
Welcome to Indonesia, Ben! Hope you enjoy your stay here
great review as usual ben! this might be a lifesaver as im a digital nomad too some times
Glad, welcome to Jakarta. Hopefully can bump with you here..
Incredibly cool! Welcome to Jakarta!
Digital nomad had me laughing good work as always ben 👍
I think it might have a mode toggle using the bouttons on the bottom right to change it to read both displays as a single monitor, which would make is so you only need 2 cables instead of 3, one for power and one for connection to the host device for both screens, but I might be wrong
hey Ben if I can make a suggestion. when the Vivo X100 Pro or Pro+ comes out, could you compare it to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra? I'm thinking that right now would be a good time to get the 13 Ultra but if Vivo pulls something special then I would consider it instead
I love your videos
Thanks for doing these, As a MacBook Pro user, could you explain why it occupies 2 usb-c ports to be able to use it? 3 cables out of the DuoOne in total is a lot
