  • This video is a compilation of 3 different rides on the Monolith Gardens Loop Trail located in Kingman, AZ. The drive was 1:20 mins from Henderson, NV. It's an easy straight run which you can go 85 or faster most of the way. I parked in the Cerbat Foothills Recreation Area. The entrance is easy to pass, so watch your GPS closely. There is a bathroom at the rest stop but no running water. The first trip I did was in March of 2023. It was about 3 days after a major down poor. I planned to ride 2 blue trails but both of them were extremely muddy (as seen at the end of the video). I was about to pack up and go home. I decided to try this green trail called Monolith Garden and I was blown away! If it had not been muddy, I probably would have missed the best trail in the region. On that first ride, there was a decent amount of water still around. There was a waterfall and some small streams running through low sections. There were also a lot of wildflower blooms. Unfortunately, on that day the wind was blowing gusts around 25 mph and I don't feel comfortable putting the dr0ne up when conditions are like that. The next time I went back it was June. I brought my wife with me. I promised her a really beautiful trail, that was green/easy and she agreed. On that trip I realized, as must others have reported, this is really not a green trail. Maybe for hiking, not for MTB riders. If you have a rider that is not comfortable riding over a lot of rocks, you will most likely be miserable with them. We did a bunch of walking that day. On the this ride we went clockwise. I high recommend that you DON'T do that. The trail was meant to be ridden counterclockwise and it's better that way for sure. On the first and the last ride I went counterclockwise. The third ride was at the end of October. It took so long because between June and October it was way too hot to ride out there. There was no water or mud. The temperature was about 75 degrees with no wind. Conditions were perfect.
    TIPS:
-BEST TIME TO VISIT: I would suggest the best time to ride is in the spring when the wildflowers are blooming. Subscribe to Kingman's Facebook page and people will post when it happens. The temp will be chilly but not too bad (light pants and long sleeve shirt weather). When we were there in June it was hot. It was 95 by 11am. So if you ware going to ride from May - Sept, prepare correctly and go in the early morning. October was nice but no water features or flowers.
KINGMAN / ROUTE 66: My wife and I drove around Kingman's main drag. There is some Route 66 stuff there and a 50's style diner. We did have lunch there and it was ok but nothing great. That small section is only about 10 mins from the trailhead so it's worth driving through and taking a few photos for memories. The line to drive through the Route 66 sign on the weekend get crazy. Some people were taking 15 mins of selfies in every position, multiple cameras, and props.. It's nuts. On my October trip I was finally able to get a quick picture after only waiting 15 mins.

    =THE BIKE RIDEZ STORY & MISSION=
We are e-bike explorers! This channel is continuing to evolve. The current focus is the scenic beauty and peaceful landscape of the trails we ride, not the actual mountain bike riding or e-bikes we are ridding. Although we thoroughly love riding our eMTBs for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Best of all we get to share with you some of the best and most spectacular scenic bike trails in the United States. At BikeRidez, it's not always about the ride, it's about the view!
