Thank you Jeff. I have been waiting for this for quite a while. Ha ha. I plan on retiring in a year or two and have been watching the Kingman real estate for about two years now. Thank you and God bless everyone here! Smitty in Vegas.
California developers have been eying Kingman for quite some time now and are planning on several masterplan communities and thousands of new people moving in. FYI
Kingman was one of those gas stops we made as I and others were going to Cali from Texas on I-40. This last summer I had a trip to Phoenix and we got to go see the Grand Canyon (My first time and happy I finally did because I was born in Mesa and people all the time would harass me about not seeing it yet and being born in the state XD), went to Sedona as well as slide rock. Sadly wasn’t able to hike or anything because of the heat but sometime on my own I need to get out during when the weather is much cooler and hike more. I do also plan on sometime in the future living in the state after I finish my degree in Chemistry if I can find something out there with my degree and field. I haven’t really seen much of the state I was really born in and I really want to change that. I love to explore and just admire how wonderful nature is.
Thank you for another great video about Arizona. My last visit to Arizona was in 2018 beeing on vacation from Sweden. So when i see your videos i want to come back even more.
I lived in Kingman, for 8 years. Love the area. The housing market was totally reasonable pre-Covid. A house worth 60k is now 200k. If someone moves to the area, please please, research open range and what it entails. Nothing makes life more miserable than someone uneducated about it and then they constantly complain. Also, don't vote for the same thing you're leaving your state for. Lol
We just got back…looking at land to build on for retirement. Main concern is some of the dirt roads seemed better for 4 wheeling. How do people get building material down those roads? Kingman is high on my list of places to move to as my wife and I are splitting up after 23 years. While she wants to stay in CA, I want out, too much nonsense going on. Kingman reminds me a lot of the small town I grew up in before it got encroached upon. I like that Kingman is higher up in elevation which means it is a little cooler than Bullhead or Havasu, yet it is close enough to enjoy the river when it gets real hot. I think that is the main selling point for me, being central to other destinations. Also, I like that Amtrak has a station in the old downtown, for $50 - $80 bucks I can buy a seat and head back to CA and see my famiy or vis-versa, beats the drive. I have a buddy that lives in Albuquerque and taking Amtrak it would be an easy ride to visit him as well. Thanks for posting this video.

This is funny. I live in Tucson and have had 3 rattler in my back yard 2 gilamonsters in my yard. In the area behind my house I've had untold amount of coyotes and for a while we had herds of javalina getting in to our trash cans like 10 to 12 at a time. Its like wild kingdom out here. I live just out side of Tucson with a block of desert behind my house. You don't want all that wild life in your yard move to new york and you can have rats, criminals along with others trudging through your yard if you have a yard. I love Kingman! It has a nice small town but not too small town feel. Love the history and I thinks it’s beautiful. As much as I’d like to live out there i still prefer Phoenix. Definitely looking for an investment property out there though.
Funny how you didn’t show any footage of Butler or Birdland. Or the dilapidated houses downtown or the empty houses down there on what people consider to be in the wrong side of the tracks.
Not really anything decent. We lived there up until last year. We were looking to buy, but the mass exodus from Cali had hit and homes work maybe 60k were going for 180k+ . I have an example. Lol It was a 1960s model trailer with an addition added in the 70s on 2 acres, just outside of town. It was in fair shape needed work, it's listed price was 180k. 😂 Absolutely no way it was worth it.
Kingman was a nice area pre-housing bust in 2007. Now it's turning greedy and hard far right extremist. I am sure you probably noticed the violent crime rates were going up from pre-covid. Now they are chasing away good paying jobs and politically more isolating themselves from the rest of Arizona and America. A lot of open contempt for hard working lower income people. Back pre-2007 if you were a working person, you could buy a place to live and live comfortably. Now it's impossible. I expect the home prices in Kingman to drop more than fifty thousand in the next couple years when people start realizing its an overpriced polished turd with an extremism problem, @@chikinmommy
@@chikinmommy These Cali transplants are mostly retirees or consultant/remote workers? Lots of expensive trucks and SUVs in the last five years. I'm saving to move, the job market hasn't changed much in the last 35 years. I think the city council shoos away bigger businesses to keep their relatives in business. Witnessed this first hand years ago with Home Depot. One Walmart, lots of fast food, dollar stores and hotels. A nurse can make a decent living. This town had potential, but it's squandered by Good Ol Boys. It also has a history of being a sundown town that has lingering effects that I've had to live through as a kid.
@@Glenningway yeah we noticed in our time there that business opportunities weren't really a thing. They would talk about these stores wanting to come in, but "something" would happen and they didn't build.

My dad worked there at that Honeywell for 13 years iI use to live in Kingman for a period back in 2001 when I was a teenager I remember seeing 40 acre parcels of land for $40k what a deal.. ohh and there was a UFO crash that happened there back in 1953...

HEY...I lived there for 26 years working for the county. Be aware that this town is NOT the place to work or raise a family. IF you want to work there, be very careful what you sign. If you sign an employment oath with the county then you have signed your life over to them. As a right to work state, you have NO REAL RIGHTS AS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE COUNTY. THEY CAN FIRE YOU AT WILL WITHOUT A REASON OTHER THAN THEY NO LONGER REQUIRE YOUR SERVICES. They also hire retired military officers to work in management positions. If your smart, stay away from those companies. Stop, take a few pix, then leave.
Albeit all you said may be true in your experience, it is VERY possible for one to make a happy comfortable life and career here even working for the county..

4:24 I would think that the gas would be cheaper in Az. compared to Ca. but they seems pretty close.
I lived there in 1998. It was little town then
I love Kingman! It has a nice small town but not too small town feel. Love the history and I thinks it’s beautiful. As much as I’d like to live out there i still prefer Phoenix. Definitely looking for an investment property out there though.
one of the main industries in kingman used to be Laughlin
Funny how you didn’t show any footage of Butler or Birdland. Or the dilapidated houses downtown or the empty houses down there on what people consider to be in the wrong side of the tracks.
Interesting.. Didn't realize K was growing so much. 200-400k isn't affordable. I know there's plenty much cheaper than that.
Not really anything decent. We lived there up until last year. We were looking to buy, but the mass exodus from Cali had hit and homes work maybe 60k were going for 180k+ . I have an example. Lol
It was a 1960s model trailer with an addition added in the 70s on 2 acres, just outside of town.

These Cali transplants are mostly retirees or consultant/remote workers?
@chikinmommy yes, you're right. If I see on my realtor app that it's listed for 50 - 187% over what they bought it for few years ago I just pass it by. Where's this house crash they're telling us is going to happen 🫤 ?
My dad worked there at that Honeywell for 13 years iI use to live in Kingman for a period back in 2001 when I was a teenager I remember seeing 40 acre parcels of land for $40k what a deal.. ohh and there was a UFO crash that happened there back in 1953...
They need a Queenman Arizona. Their motto could be: Visit Queenman, where queens are king.
Got a lot of retired friends living in Kingman. Haven’t heard any complaints yet. But, good luck getting your ball to the green. The wind there is a real bitch! 🤣🤣🤣
Why don't you make a video about the huge area north of the Grand Canyon?
I live n kingman
What is up in superior az ?
The Boyce Thompson Arboretum is close to Superior and it's very nice. Plan your visit outside of the summer months though.
Rumor has it that Wickenburg is going to have an amusement park built near or in town privately. Prices of land and homes may go up. Again, a rumor.
Thinking!
Being cheap means cheap people. Horrible place to live unless you’re spending your last days in a condemned trailer and don’t give a $hit. Lived there for 6 years only reason I go back is my mom with dementia lives there.
I didn't think it was that bad. They definitely lack activities and shopping, except for food. There are crap people everywhere.
It's going way downhill and a lot of tinfoil hat wearers and far right extremist moving in! It was always conservative but an independent and pioneering type way. Now they are downright Russia loving Maga commies! Politically Kingman and Mohave County are isolating themselves from the rest of Arizona and the United States! They are well on their way to creating another Tim McVey or worse. @@chikinmommy
If you know some link for real estate companies please post it here too.
I can’t wait to get back there
I love Kingman! Glad it growing and that they're fixing and revamping their downtown! can't wait!
You missed Oatman!
Too too 🔥🔥🔥

You know Baghdad is remote is when it is further out than the city of Nothing.
Joe Bonamassa music , awesome . I think I like wickenburg much better.
Kingman is a sundown town. I had to go there for work over the summer and boy the nasty looks I received 😫
Does the drive up pay phone by railroad park still exist,. Do they still have hot water at the coin operated car wash on top of the hill,. Does the route 66 distillery still exist at quality inn. Denny's built on top of a box culvert,. It has a large wash that runs directly under the restaurant,
I know you can't drive back by the tracks in the rocks,. Clacks canyon,. But does the dairy still exist,. On highway 93 by hwy 68 is the big bird still there,. You could see it driving towards so ho
Did they ever add more than the nine holes to the golf course,. Schritter, shuffler and short,. Does the three E'Ses still run or own most of the town
Toby orr still build houses
We don’t want people moving here take this down
HEY...I lived there for 26 years working for the county.
What if I’m retired
Done working
Hello Kingman
Albeit all you said may be true in your experience, it is VERY possible for one to make a happy comfortable life and career here even working for the county..
Nothing but crazy snakes in kingman no place to do business.
Please, NEVER stay at the Arcadia Lodge. Yikes!
Tell me about your dream Mosque?
Hey there is something wrong with the video, u sound drunk my man! 😂
Bagdad looks similar to Iraq
Iraq is the cradle of civilization!
