Thanks for sharing.........If you are in there, and you are planning ahead, you might look at adjusting the valves & replacing the spark plugs, all at the same time. I know it probably more than doubles/triples the time but you end up saving time over all. For adjusting the valves, you really need the special tool valve adjustment tool or ratcheting flex head 10 mm or remove the injector rail to get at the front intake valves. The exhaust valves in the back, you end up leaning over to get at them, and to see. Because of the tight quarter in the CRV Engine Bay, I will say it was not fun. It is hard to see and get wrench and feeler gauge to get to the adjustment screws/bolts. I would rather adjust the valves in the old air cooled VWs lying on my back with dirt/dust falling on my face, I think they were easier to get to.
Thanks! Sure helped, I unfortunately found myself having to replace the air assist valve and the only way to remove it on my 02’ Honda crv is to take off the gasket cover because the stem hits it.
