- Hi everyone, my dad, Steven and I went out of the port of Ludington on July 17th. We got mixed in with the large pack of boats from the Ludington Offshore Classic taking place. We didn't fish in the tournament therefore we got to leave ahead of the entire pack and head South to Little Point Sable. We received word that the better king fishing was down there by the silver lake sand dunes. We went 5 for 7 on salmon. Two really nice mature kings, two adolescent and two small ones. Water temp was very cold, so all our baits were in the top 30 to 40 ft of the water column. Our 4 color with a Michigan Stinger Arctic Ice stingray size took the most hits followed by the Rv Dancing Anchovy by Moonshine lures.

Thank you! And you’re welcome
Nice job Nick!
Thank you!
Great video thanks for sharing that fog on Saturday was pretty intense for sure!
Oh yeah that fog was something else. It was just as bad, if not worse on Monday. Couldn’t see the 2nd and 3rd planer boards at times
Great video Nick !! Capt. Chris would be proud lol
Man that water was cold. Over here on eastern Lake O the surface temp ranges in the mid to high 60's and 50' down it might go to 50 degrees.
Thank You! Im really starting to get the hang of this fishing thing lol Yeah the water was too cold. Then we had a hard south blow for two days and it was back up to almost 70 on the surface
I cannot believe how cold that water is. That is crazy. I haven’t seen water temps like that since May.
Yeah definitely not normal for mid July. Once the wind blew out of the south for a couple days hard, it warmed right back up again
Nice video . did you try my flys
Thank you! I had them with me and was planning to use them. Except the fly bite was never really going while we were there for the week. One day it did for us but I was running the classic pickled sunshine. I’ll for sure be running them soon though
I do they same thing if the bit is going I used them go to fly's lol
