    Hi. great video. Finally people have started to finish the inside. This 34.25 is finished very well. I noticed the floor center cabin hatch compartment , the inside of the hatch cover is also finished. Helps cut down the noise and keep the cold from the floor. When you see little things like this from builders going that extra little bit of detain you know other things have been done right. One concern is how is the field of view from the helm ,the dash looks a little tall i am sure its good right ? .... Thanks for the video

      Hi Tom, thanks for the feedback! Great observations, the fit and finish has certainly come a long ways from back in the day. There was a lot of thought put into the dash height trying to maximize space without compromising visibility. If you sit in the helm seat, you'll find you sit up quite high and the dash creates no obstructions. Cheers

    Is there storage under the cuddy in the front? Storage under the quarter berth?

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  Год назад

      There is a decent size storage compartment under the front V-Berth, but not in the aft berth.

    excellent , can you add a stove and rolled down sink faucet to add more counter space

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  3 года назад +1

      We use Wallas diesel stoves on these models, they work quite well. We haven't done a sink like that in a while, but I'm sure it's possible.

    also the skylight in the front , can that be ordered bigger to open to access the front of the boat from the sleeper

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  3 года назад +1

      They do not have an option to go bigger, but I’m sure they could use a larger hatch as a custom option as long as it doesn’t create any structural issues.

      @@gibbonsmotortoys I can see the structural issues for sure . Be built tough and safe is key

    I am really disappointed that they discontinued the 3325. I retired this year and that was the boat i was going to buy.The 3425 does not come close on the interior as the 3325 had 2 very nice staterooms. Looks like i will be spending a liitle more for an EagleCraft or Coastal Craft.

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  2 года назад

      Hi Jeff, the 3325 was a beautiful boat but unfortunately not Kingfishers most profitable build. They were time consuming to build and caused constraints on their production line. They decided to better focus their efforts on "trailerable" fishing boats. The 3425 is quite a bit easier to manage due to its narrower beam.

      @@gibbonsmotortoys This boat is starting to grow on me. I am more of a Yamaha guy due to reliability but it seems like Mercury has raised the bar in the last couple of years. Do you know what Mercury's reliable rating is ? I know Yamahas is 96.4 %. I think Yamaha has gotten complacent and Mercury is hot on their tail. I do not think I would have a problem switching to Mercury as long as the reliability is there. I have been running Yamahas since 1985 with zero problems. (8 boats)
      Is there a reason why someone would put both access points from the dock on one side of the boat? You would think if you had the rear access on one side and the side access on the other it would give you the option to dock the boat on the port or starboard side and still comfortably access the boat.
      What is the weight capacity of the davit?
      By the way, you gave a nice thorough demonstration of the boat.

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  2 года назад

      @@jeffk9405 I'm not too sure what Mercury's reliability rating is / where that stat comes from, but can assure you Mercury is a world leader in their R&D / extensive testing before releasing new products. They also stand behind what they build and really stand behind their warranty.
      For access points, your logic makes good sense. Sometime people have unique needs based on what they store on the back deck or if their marina is setup in a specific way.
      The weight capacity on the davit on this specific boat is 600lbs.
      Thank you for the feedback.

      @@gibbonsmotortoysThanks for the information.
      I am excited to see what the performance of the 3425 with the new V10 motors. If they could get the fuel economy closer to 2 MPG it would be a game changer for a 35' outboard boat with 300 Gallons of fuel. Its a great to have extended range and not have a concern getting to more remote areas and staying if the fishing is hot or you want to do some extended exploring (GFX).
