I'm a current Huawei P30 Pro user.... I'm genuinely tempted by the honor 50! Looks like the same phone but with Google. The lack of Google support is the only thing that's stopped me changing from my P30 Pro already.
I had an honor 7x for my daily for more than 2 years. What a device that was, absolute bargain, wont be changing now from my pixel 4a but happy to see honor back in the game and interested to see what price this device is.
I am still having a 7x for 4 years now. And 2 years with cracked glass from a bad drop but the display and the touch work perfectly. And i love doing nigh photos. with the pro mode. I cant find a nother phone from that class even newer phones that can take such good night photos.

Still rocking my Honor 8A 2020. Nice to see Honor coming back, I've been holding out for their return as I really like their smartphones, and what the company has been trying to achieve. The Honor 50 is a very nice phone. I just hope it will be a sensible price.
I am having to come to terms with no micro sd slot on any phone I like. Like another of your comments I miss LG in the market place. Your reviews help me get what I need vs what I want.
Great review, I currently have the honor 20 pro, had it from contract past 2 years. love it and use for filming, editing videos and RUclips uploads along with some Digital art etc. Just love the camera etc. My concern is that it would start to die off as phones can around 3yrs. So decided to upgrade and ordered the Honor 50 so here I am 🤣

When I first saw this device on RUclips I was like 😍 and started dying for it... Now I have this on my hands and I love using honor devices... It is surely a steady device and Its software performance is really really good... Doesnt bother you even after 3 years!! Or more 🤩 I'm not a fan of its camera... I think oppo is doing well in camera section but overall if you need a steady, classy, smooth device buy honor... 😎 It will not disappoint you...

I really do miss when phones looked and operated completely different from one another 🥺. Turn the phone off and they are all just a rectangular piece of glass. LG had some really creative designs but no idea how to market them so they tanked. Sigh*
I am looking into buying the 256x8 version for 350£,i am using a honor play which i bought in 2018 for 250£, cant believe a phone lasted me over 4 years with no major issue (the battery seems to drain quite fast, and some backlite problems leaves some shadows of the previous images).Can say for sure that Honor as a business is impeccable not just by my experience but by the comments on this video alone. Very buget oriented, i can't recommend it more thant that, 5 stars, just amazing.
I just picked one up for £279 on Amazon Day sale. I'm a Huawei P30 pro user and because the updates have stopped I thought Id buy this as a stop gap until the UK and Huawei mend their relationship. As a UK consumer Im gutted I can't have the latest Huawei flagship anymore.
I just broke my honor x8 this summer! Such a great phone. Do you have a recommendation for a phone - it needs to have a headphones jack, spaces for 2+ sims, good camera and overall durabiliy?
Currently own Honor 50 and it's worth the price. Very affordable, attractive, above par camera quality (especially in portrait) , chargers from 0(or 2%)-100% in less than an hour, absolutely adore the screen resolution, Boss storage management. Biggest drawback is that it doesn't offer you the option for split screen. Coming from owning a Huawei P8 lite 2017 which could do that, that's a huge disappointment for me. Being able to watch RUclips and scroll through tweets was the best thing ever. Also the speaker isn't as loud as I wished it was, but the earbuds compensate for that in a way I guess 😅. Overall it's not a bad buy, a good one I'd say

Ah no, I had the honor 9 lite for 3 years, upgraded to Samsung A52 coz I didn't realise honor was back, with Google. But I loved that split screen too. Also, loved that video would play over on front screen whilst I did other things. Does the 50 do this?
I had the Honor 8X after watching a Recombu video years ago and it was a great phone. Nostalgia aside, I can't get one or recommend one because of one reason and that is Xiaomi 🤷🏾♂️

@@motivationpositivity100 the software is ass. They can't compete with Huawei. You can live without GMS if you don't mind side loading a dew stuff. Most apps work perfectly and in a year or two you wouldn't even mind losing GMS.
I've had my honor view 20 for 2 years now and it's not done me wrong and it sill hasn't slowed down either so I think am looking at the new honor 50 cuz it looks like a master piece 😍
I'm still using an Honor 9X pro as my daily driver because I've had literally no reason to upgrade. 6GB Ram 256GB of internal storage (option to EXPAND to 1TB now as a result of harmony OS) Very capable cameras with the main shooter being a 48mp Sony. Insane battery life. And of course the coveted headphone jack. I paid £145 for mine...
Has anyone else realised that this is an almost carbon copy of the Huawei nova 9 even though they're apparently separate companies. Also the MagicUI is basically the EMUI that Huawei use. Maybe Huawei is trying to get back to the western market...
Only thing about this device with the good specs and good cameras is that the battery is bit small, it should have been a 5000mah battery in this device.. Then I'll get this one as I want to upgrade from my Realme 7 Pro.. But I'll keep my Realme till a better Honor device arrives, as I used to have two Honor devices in past I like Their cameras and designs...

Recently changed to Nord 2 after having honor for last two phones. 4+ years and I'm not impressed. Very basic. Wish I had waited for this bad boy!

Curved display kills the whole phone for me, skip.
The camera hole is also huge as hell. Really noticeable.

Is Honor UI good? I don't know much about their OS. Currently I am using Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE with MIUI.

That single bottom firing speaker is a deal breaker for me. Thanks to your review, otherwise I'd have bought it.
